It's really lovely to have hosts who genuinely let the guests shine and don't take centre stage on camera for someone else's interview. Says a lot about the sorted crew. Always respect them for the way they come across!
I am just 10 minutes into the podcast, and I am already loving it ! As I am not from the UK, I had never heard of Wynne Evans. He seems to be a really charming person and is a great person to chat with.
Had family meet him at a charity event. From their estimation he was a very rude, disrespectful man who would barely look at anyone who wasn't also famous. Looking forward to the sorted podcast but I'll skip this one
This was really, really good! Letting the guest waffle is the key to a good interview (folks are generally here for the guest, not the interviewers)! You got the balance just right! I loath the ads, but love the guy :)
I’m from New Zealand and had never heard of Wynne Evans; what a lovely guest! I don’t “ live to eat” but I so enjoyed listening to this man talk about food. Thank you all for this podcast.
I've been thinking lately that my favorite thing about the channel is your friendship and listening to you all chat more than the recipes (which are great too, just preference) and this is such a great way to get to experience your great chat. Nice one, thank you!
Sorted Team!! What a week! James makes his comeback and then you drop this on a Friday- HUGE fan of you all! You always make my days better and is much appreciated!.
Wynne Evans is a total legend! Thanks for coming on the podcast and for being so open about your struggles. You're an inspiring trooper and should feel very proud!
Sorted Team!! What a week! James makes his comeback and then you drop this on a Friday- I tip my imaginary hat to you all! You guys keep upping your game and it is so appreciated.
I absolutely loved every minute of this podcast. I also am not from the UK and am all the way on the other side of the Atlantic and had no clue who Wynne Evans was. What an exceptional, wonderful, down to earth guy. He is exactly the type of person you can go out to a pub with and sit, chat and "shoot the shit with". Actually, reminds me of Marc Hervieux, a Montréal opera singer who is the same way :)
I live jus outside of Carmarthen, so when Wayne mentions his mum and the Theatre, which is called The Lyric, I know exactly where he is talking about, I also saw parts of the movie being filmed
I watch all of your guy's stuff and I have to say this is another hit. Really enjoyed the interview, the guest, the focus around food, etc... really good work team.
I kind of expected this to be funny and interesting but my grandma who raised me was Welsh and this unexpectedly got me. Took me right back to my childhood and visiting family. It was one of those painful in a good way things. I miss her a lot.
When Wynne talked about his reason for starting his weight loss journey, the two seats breaking under him, I could just FEEL the embarrassment that would cause! I've struggled with my weight my entire life, and I've had a couple chairs break under me. T_T I've only recently started my weight loss journey, after finally figuring out what was going on with my mental health. (Depression, anxiety, and decades long undiagnosed ADHD.) My main motivation is that I'm losing my mobility. I can only be on my feet for a few minutes before I have to sit down. I can't walk far. I'm only a couple months into my journey, and I have a long way to go. Saying that, Sorted Food has helped me figure out ways I can incorporate healthier foods into my diet. I love you guys, and I'm absolutely loving this new Podcast format! Thank you for everything you guys do!! Love from the USA!
Best of luck! One of my best mates from school finally got an ADHD diagnosis recently after 15+ years of struggling and (somewhat unconscious) self medication, and it's made a unfathomable difference to both his physical health and mental wellbeing. I hope you have similarly positive results.
As if people hated him?!? He’s iconic, I’ve absolutely loved him from day one, seeing that advert on the TV when I was 14. Loved this podcast, absolutely amazing
What a fantastic first episode, guys! I never heard of Wynne before (sorry, I live across the pond in the US,) but he is so charismatic, humble, and down to earth. Super excited to see who else you get on!🤙
Wynne is such a great talker! I love that he subtly explains things in a way thst helps the audience who arent chefs and might not know things even when the sorted guys are nodding along. Great first podcast❤
This Podcast already seems like one of my favorites!! As I am not from the UK, I had never heard of Wynne Evans. He seems to be a really charming person and is a great person to chat with. Hearth please guys
Enjoyed it throughout, I'm not familiar with the guests but everything just feels like listening to a friendly chat. It's nice when the hosts just lets the guests shine.
Aw he's such a sweet guy 🎉 well done guys, love the set up and the idea of a food centred podcast. Edit: As a welsh person myself it was so lovely to see our food represented - Halen Mon Salt is made in my home town and I live near the Menai Straights were we gather world class muscles. Its also such a beautiful place 🏴
I absolutely love this podcast. It went from my husband saying "no 52 mins of sorted food chaos is to much" to saying "when is the next one?" in under 10 minutes. Roll on episode 2 ❤🎉
I only found this channel a couple of months ago...I live in Arkansas, in the states, and I've been binge watching episodes every day. I love this podcast. What a bunch of legends. I have never heard of opera and food being topics in the same conversation; I Love both topics, and the combination absolutely fascinated me. Keep up the great work lads.
Loved this! I really enjoyed this and hope to see more like this to come! The balance of information and just overall conversation in this was amazing. Was able to spend my break at work pulled into this video and I will say it made this long day so much better! Can't wait to see what comes next.
What a fantastic guy ! Genuinely, I would love to sit down round a dinner table with Wynne and you guys for what would be a fantastic evening with lots of laughs. Brilliantly done by Mike and Ebbers - perfect balance of questions, but still letting Wynne just talk. One of the most enjoyable Sorted vids ever (and I love all of your vids). Please, please, please keep the Under the Cloche series going - if others are half as good as this one, I am hooked. Great job guys and great choice of guest to kick this off with.
🎉 #LOVE it!! that was excellent, so fun, no idea who your guest was but he definitely has a new fan ❤ I broke my ankle & leg on Good Friday, surgery, hospital just pain but I watched your videos non stop when I could and your energies lifted me. Food unites the world thank you 🫶🌏🇦🇺💞
This was a fantastic interview. Being an American, I had never heard of Wynne before. But he is incredibly entertaining. I could listen to him all day long.
Such a great podcast! the GoCompare advert is a classic! I remember being in the Lake District for the first time and saw a bunch of guys meeting up in the carpark in all different costumes. One was dressed as Wynne Evans' GoCompare character and did a fantastic impression - that's when I realised how popular the advert was. Also gave blood with Wynne Jones in Cardiff while he did it live on his radio show (I was far too nervous to ruin the show by talking to him). Then he was absolutely lovely when I got the chance to promote a local musical production on his radio show last year. Absolute top bloke and now I need to go to Chippy Alley again!
At this point, I would say I grow up with Sorted Food 💗From awkward skinny boys on RUclips to real men with great sense of humor hosting the most enjoyable cooking show. Helped us to go through Covid, hard time, breakups, etc...thank you
Helped us through Covid is the one!!!! Honestly I think I put in weeks if not months of watch time during that period, rewatching videos I’ve seen a thousand times…they were like a source of normality and lighthearted joy during that time for me and I’ll be forever grateful to them for that 🥹
really Really enjoyed this!! your dynamic as friends has always been the best part of sorted, and combined with wynne and some of those stories!! i can't wait to see more of this, thank you team!
This new podcast (Under The Cloche!!) was wonderful. The interview was interesting, educational, humorous and all together entertaining. Looking forward to the next installment.
Hated the Go Compare advert, the only thing that ad did was to make sure I NEVER use that company. Wynne must have been the most hated guy in the UK because of that advert. Wynne and sorted food, that was a great podcast. well done guys.
34:10 It's interesting what he says about serving 'cold' food in the program. Maybe it worked like that in this version of the program, I don't intend to doubt him. From what I learned from some interviews with participants and crew of Masterchef in my country (Poland), in our version of the program cooks were meant to always prepare two portions of the dish, even though it was not shown in the final edit. One dish was meant to stay untouched (and cool down) until the final presentation for TV, and the second one was meant to be nibbled and tried by judges as soon as the participants finished cooking. Participants were asked out of the kitchen for a while and the judges quickly tried everything fresh and warm, unseen on TV, and hid the dishes under the kitchentop. I think it makes more sense than trying just a rested, cooled down dishes.
I was listening /watching this while I was cooking in the kitchen. it is fantastic because you have the iPad there that you can see what’s going on, but at the same time it was like you are just cooking away enjoying the conversation that is going on right beside you. The way a kitchen should be the social area of the house. This was fantastic and the length was perfect. Great interview techniques too, unlike some interviewers that like to ask 10 min long questions cause they arrogantly think it’s all about them. This was brilliant. Well done. I can’t wait to see who the next guest is going to be.

Loved the talk about welsh food, really think you should make more videos about it. Ben asked about how often welsh produce is celebrated and searching for wales or welsh in your videos only brings up the video with the prince and a 9 year old video about untraditional welsh cakes. Would absolutely love to see more about my countries food being shared!
