I’ve only just today been going through the 335i budget build project. I’m from the uk, wanting to start a n54 build on either a 335i or 135i coupe. Great information you’ve provided in these videos, so detailed!
Thanks man. That was the plan all along, the budget build made a real 625whp. 100-200kmh in 5.85 seconds and faster than a brand new Audi R8 v10 plus. It’s was a success for sure.
@@ZeroTo60Tube I will say one thing your subscriber count should and deserves to be a 300k-600k channel. The uk guys don’t seem to play around with older N54 stuff that much, there is a local guy to me who bragged how his 2009 335i was 570hp on a very expensive brands hybrid turbo kit and the guy spent like £15k-£18k uk pounds) but in all honesty it doesn’t seem to drive half as good as the footage you’ve got with your 335i on a budget build. The guy paid for fitting so I think that’s atleast £5k of his cost but still i hope to do a personal project for under £4k on build and then £5500-£7500 on the car itself.

Been so busy at work I've missed quite a bit 😢
Dave's done something with his hair I think. Looks good. I must say this type of racing really reminds me of when as little kids we used to play cops n Robbers or Cowboys N Indians (Yea it was a thing get over it LOL) and when you got shot the only way of determining if you or your friend was dead or won the draw was up to us. No other rules were there to ensure that people didn't cheat or fight (too much lol) over who got whom etc. It was all about a type of integrity we had learned was how you lived and played life. I could wax empirically over this and the way people are in this messed up world we are in now. But I just want to say it's the same a lot of the time with this type of racing. If you have no character you won't be any fun either when you win or lose. Andrew and both Dave's have impeccable integrity and character!

Surprised with the run against the R35, what a weapon the E92 is, the DCT works a treat.
The DCT saved me a few times today. As some races were starting at higher speeds than what i am used to at rolls, i missed my manual shift point. DCT hits max RPMS in xHP and shifted around 7200rpms and bam we were still pulling like a train.

Yeah comment was made as I was pulling on him, then I let off. That said in 2 gear he’s got me, my power feeds in at the top of 3rd. Would love to give him a proper run and let both cars stretch there legs. But it’s almost unfair with my trans against a manual.

I hear you dude! So conflicting being my brother and all.
My car is intermittently smoking white smoke which I believe to be coolant smoke and my coolant level does drop. It alway smokes when i let the car sit for about a half hour after after driving and getting it up to temp. And it sometimes smokes after a couple min of heating up especially if I am running more than stock boost. Is there any way my for coolant to get into the exhaust other than a head gasket? I have never ran more than MHD stage 1 then it started to smoke extra bad so I revered to stock power. I just really don’t want my head gasket to be bad when I have not even gotten to daily 400+ hp. The whole point of the N54 is that the internals can handle it easily. Thanks for reading if you did.
Hey man, its normally valve stem seals, very rare for these to get coolant in to the combustion chamber.
@@ZeroTo60Tube ok thanks for the help. I just want to clarify that valve stem seals can leak coolant not oil? and what test can I have done to confirm its a valve stem seal?
@@swagfest2k144 If it’s not your head gasket, then the other culprit could be your oil filter housing gasket. Oil and coolant flow through this part. Plenty of videos on this issue.
@@swagfest2k144 Sorry i am making the assumption you are seeing oil smoke. Again i have never seen a N54 burn coolant. But fairly common to get white smoke after letting them idle when the valve stem seals are leaking. If i was you and you think its coolant, just pressure test the cooling system. Probably the cheapest and quickest test you can do. The cooling systems are very prone to leak, but its nearly always external of the engine.

@@ZeroTo60Tube thanks man and it’s a 13b with a full cut bridge port and 6 big studs and running a Garrett gen2 T04Z low boost is around the 280hp on 9psi and high boost is 375hp on 14psi

@@jaydenlange6682 we have a few mates with decent rotors, to be fair they feel insane around that 350hp, especially with a old school big turbo, so you get the surge of power as it comes on. Hopefully see you out again as the build progresses.

@@joshgale6164 Chaser looked damn cool and sounded mint too. I feel like iim cheating with the DCT in the BMW, little bit of boost adjustments and i can just mash it and go. Dont know how i used to manage with that 3rd pedal.

i was being a bit cheeky then apologies if the owner sees that. Yeah, we worked it out pretty quickly in the car once he rolled on, but you may have noticed when i called it a barra, we had not heard it on song. There are few mistake in the vid, see if you can pick the other ones.

Also regarding the jump, its shit with no official go lights, but first race you can hear it labour up and come on to boost as we straighten up, second race he labours up we straighten up, i floor it, but his car just bogs then hits so hard he blows the tyres off. The joys of driving a real turbo setup, not a cheap china shit box like this BMW.
