3:17. For those who haven't been following DeSantis' war on the Disney corporation being woke, he made a big mistake. The deal where the Florida State board would gain control over Disney was signed this week, but at the last minute Disney made a change to the deal DeSantis didn't notice where Florida will gain ownership over Disney 21 years after every current living descendant of King Charles has died. So, assuming Harry & Megan's daughter Lily lives as long as Queen Elizabeth did, this means Florida won't be able to gain control over Disney until 2138, & because DeSantis has spent so much time out of Florida over the past 2 weeks celebrating his war on woke & unofficially running for President he didn't even notice this move Disney made.

A comedy where two brand new news anchors are hired by a NY TV station at the same time and at first don't get along and try to throw each other under the bus (almost like when they write jokes or news reports for each other) but end up realizing they are best friends. Someone on a Reddit thread about this episode was at the live taping. Apparently Michael Che came into the lounge where audience members are seated before they go into the actual studio for the show and told them not to laugh at any of Colin's jokes as part of the prank.
That has to be one of the best April fools.
I am both impressed and terrified with the way Che's brain works 😂. Gotta love Jost for always being a good sport. Even here, where he's clearly rethinking his life decisions because of that prank lol.
4:06 Jost booing was hilarious 🤣 like a kid
This is one of those memorable SNL moments.
Poor Collin, it will be hard to top this as his best snl moment.
I thought Colin's honesty and humor, on the spot, about what that was like for him was brilliant, courageous, funny and creative. Amazing really.
Omg Jost being unable to recover from that has me laughing harder than the entirety of the sketch. What a great prank!
Jost laugh weeping, "that's the meanest thing you've ever done to me" hints so much at the depth of their friendship.
One of the best updates ever. Weekend update really, really needs it’s own show.
Been saying it for awhile. These 2 can take over The Daily Show
Didn't realize SNL was still around
A Che x Colin comedy special would sell Peacock Subscriptions
Didn't they try that?
I feel bad for u
OMG this is probably my fav weekend update of ALL time. These guys are SOOOO good, will be sad if either of them leave
That was an amazing move by Disney's lawyers.
Just shows that corporations will always have better lawyers than state governments.
At least this time Disney’s lawyers are pointed in the right direction instead of closing down daycares for having Mickey Mouse painted on the wall.
Gain ownership of the board or the entire corporation?
Disney is winning the fight to allow the mutilation of confused children's genitals to continue another day. Great.
Jost's face at 1:30 when he's trying to keep it moving but you can see he's like, "REALLY?! I can't drag out a laugh but you'll give it up for the Six Flags Guy joke? That's fine..."
That has to be THE MOST out of control Weekend Update segment in SNL history 😂
THE BEST WEEKEND UPDATE that snl has ever had. Colin and Che are literally a match made in heaven. And their support for each other is nothing short of amazing brotherly love. This will definitely be a classic show...Crowd was quiet and im used to watching on youtube, had me like oh guess they didnt ut in the laugh tracks...then che goes and they roar, im like huh? And then....DEAD....lololol colins face, dat boy was shook..like his wife told him she dated a 7ft black basketball player in college...I love these 2...
It helps that Colin is a cutie pie and Che is wickedly funny.
It was a cruel prank. I didn't like it at all☹
@@SquirtleHK I'm sure his very beautiful and talented wife will kiss all the booboos away.
@@SquirtleHK His consolation prize is sleeping with Scarjo.... he will be fine.
He doesn't have to worry, his wife just dated *checks notes* Ryan Reynolds. Nothing to be intimidated about there.
Now that was funny. It’s funny and touching how Colin and Che enjoy working together. Thank you!
I like how well Colin can keep it together when he thought he was bombing, but on the inside he was dying, lol.
Che and Colin are LITERALLY the team we all needed.. Everytime I watch them I cry from laughing so dam hard😂😂
Literally funniest part of the WHOLE show, i didn’t even care about any of the jokes after that prank 😂🤣🤣Che had Colin sweating through his suit 😂😂😂
This duo has to be one of the best in snl history.
Guess u haven't watch a lot of snl then.
@@truthyahweh9877 name a better duo
@@user-fo6hb2iy4b anyone from the 90s. Literally anyone
@@user-fo6hb2iy4b Chevy Chase and Emily Litelda-but that was in the early days of SNL.
Best part of the week... watching Jost fight his fear of being cancelled for a joke Che wrote.
I've always thought they should make a movie with Jost and Che based on Weekend Update. A comedy where two brand new news anchors are hired by a NY TV station at the same time and at first don't get along and try to throw each other under the bus (almost like when they write jokes or news reports for each other) but end up realizing they are best friends. I think it would be huge.
Copyright it now before someone else steals the idea.
Fuckin brilliant!
Anchorman
@@eclectica1 Agreed. Get the rights to this idea asap!! That's some shit that Will Ferrell would eat up.
@@cndcotton4116 That movie is actually not that same idea or premise if you've actually seen it. That's like saying "Bruce Almight" is the same thing because Jim Carrey played a reporter. Completely different. Even if it were..which it's not...there can be more than one movie about a subject or idea. How many racing movies, war movies, martial arts movies, cop movies, "killer wearing masks" movies etc are there?
These two guys are amazing, they deserve an award for those sketches, such a great team!! Loved it!!
SNL wins best writing every year practically and they are both lead writers
This was the best April fools joke ever. Honest reactions from honest friends. My dad and I talk about SNL (I was born in 1971) every Sunday over coffee or tea. I know we will be laughing about this. I think I can put this in my top 25-30 moments of the show that i have enjoyed. (Landshark is in my top 10, and i had to change the position because of all the years, multiple times) funny joke, great reaction, continuing to enjoy all of you for these many years. No joke, lol. Thank you for the good and joy you bring to the world.
👍🏻
It's so sweet that you and your dad bond over coffee or tea while you laugh about the show!
Best weekend update ever. I couldn’t even hear the jokes after the prank I was laughing so hard
Everyone on Twitter: "Let's skip April Fools, the world is devastating enough right now."
Che: "Nah."
If you go back and watch it again you can see Che trying not to laugh as they’re starting the show and constantly looking over at Colin
Yes. That side eye!
When the dude yells "You stink!", he just loses it and starts laughing uncontrollably, it couldn't have gone better.
The MOST amount of emotion I’ve seen from Colin 😆😆
lmao the one guy that yelled "YOU STINK!" 🤣
I thought he was yelling “Deep State”
@@PowerGlove79 oh it's definitely you stink. he dropped his head down in shame 😂
One of the best most hilarious segments they’ve ever done
That was the funniest thing ever there. I was like wow, not a Colin crowd here. And the “you suck” before Che saying April fools was too great. Now that is how you do an April fools.
I heard someone yell for Colin t,o "Be safe" but I didn't hear the, "You suck" maybe I have crappy ear buds.
It sounded like Michael Longfellow (featured player who plays David later in WU) saying “You stink!” Then Che responds after so I would bet that was preplanned with Che and Longfellow.
I love the chemistry between these two, the duo does a fantastic job & have fun.
The jump in laughter from Colin to Che the first time is hilarious 😂
2:20 “YOU STINK” was like out of SpongeBob lol
One of the best. I love the chemistry between Michael and Coin.
🪙
I was wondering why they weren’t laughing 💀💀💀 He played it off good tho lol 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Oh this is going to be a classic moment. Che and Colin are amazing together.
Jeez, this was savage! You could practically see him start to come undone by the third joke that only gets a moderate chuckle. I kind of hope those two never leave the desk.
jost ran with that beautifully, norm is smiling down from wherever he ended up
I see your best moments reactions, but just gotta say that this will forever and always be one of Jost's best, most memorable Weekend Updates, bar none. Hilarious
I'm grateful for RUclips because weekend update is all I watch.
The whole show was worth this week.
I legit in tears watching this weeks SNL. Kudos to everyone. Season has been amazing.
I can't not replay that over and over😅😂 All I know is that Colin's revenge is going to go down as a top moment in SNL history and I can't wait to see what it is😂
the way he was biting his pencil when they were laughing HARD at Che's jokes, but nothing for him... man I felt that LOL
Historic Weekend Update. Che and Colin need their own show doing the nightly news. I don't watch the news anymore, but I'd watch them.
My only sanity. Plus if Monday and Tuesday the big story again was bad and concerning.. All channels play it over and over and add too it. We have been in this mess since 2016. I AM tired of it all. Especially by end of week.THEN WEEKEND UPDATE JUST TELLS IT IN A WAY WE ALL PROBABLY FEEL AND with truth. I fell dumbed down with too many of the same story always a concern, but Che and Colon get away with telling it on a way we can laugh. IF not, we are all going to loose it. I thought this of the cold open today too..
.....over the years, Weekend Update has been consistently worthwhile. Jost and Che are top shelf.
Jost's side-eye at the camera at 3:13 is just perfect.
Che laughing at the"You stink!"... pure joy.
I was on the same track with Collin at first, thinking that why the audience was cold about his jokes. I felt so relieved when Che revealed🤣That was SO MEAN!!! Collin was breaking down there thinking he ruined WU, let alone especially in April Fools🤣
