I tried to stay in cool mode while making an attempt at making it sound like a freestyle but each phrase for each button command is only 2 presses and thats why it may have not sounded as good too

The criteria for what counts as a line good enough is wonky. Iirc, you can see why it didn't register as such by watching the meters at the bottom. All three are supposed to be + rather than neutral or -.
