Look, I tried two weeks ago this technique and its works wonders ! I tried polygel/acrygel and VSP, gel X, many others and damn this technique with duals forms and biab is the most strong and long-term for my nails. I don't apply VSP or gel UV color over this, I apply classic nail polish so I can change the color wtih ease (I get tired of color really fast) and yup, it works !
OMG! I’m so glad I found you, this has been a game changer starting with the lamp upside down trick. I have small nail beds too so the method you use is phenomenal. Well done 👏🏻 I’m using ibd too! All I have to do now is find my dual forms. Your using coffin shape I think but you could file into an almond or stiletto. That’s what I do if I use coffin or square tips. After overlay, I file a shape I want 🤷🏻♀️ You’re a 🌟 and I have subscribed. Wish me luck 🍀💅🏻🇬🇧
Same!🤣🤣 You don't know until you know!! This is going to be my practice from now on for BG! I can't believe how much time it saves and how much nicer they are! I am excited for you to try!!!!!!
You are prob 200% correct lol I am whipping and dipping that brush around like I'm whisking eggs 😂 I appreciate the comment because I would love to wear these clear!!
@@BrittsDipsit happened to mine too, I stirred mine in the pot. After a while the bubbles were gone though. Just brush slowly and pop any bubbles before curing and you should be good!
AMAZING JOB!! 👍🏾👍🏾 I have the Triple D dual forms and will definitely be giving this a try!! I might also give it a try using Triple D’s Acrygel (the milky white one). I’m curious to see how it would work as well. I also have the pink Cupcake flash cure lamp by Triple D and I love using it when I apply my full cover gel tips, but I think it would be perfect for this as well. However, I think the way you use your nail lamp to flash cure is genius….just need to keep a pair of shades 😎 close by!! 😉
😂yep I need to put on sunglasses!!! Lmk how it goes with the acrygel!! I love this practice! It has cut down a hung amount of time, and I am getting way better results! So happy to share it with you 😀
idk if it's the form I'm using but when I file the form the edge is sooo raggedy with the way the plastic fuzzes up, it's completely fuzzy on the sides and no amount of filing can make it smooth. I have the ModelOnes plastic forms. please help!
At start you mention you will be placing the form much further down from cuticle but then you placed it much further up towards the cuticle!? I’m confused lol can you explain please 🙏
Hi! Did you watch the whole video? The first finger I did, the 5th finger, was a little closer to the cuticle than I should of, but the thumb and index were at a perfect spot for what I was trying to achieve, about half a cm from the cuticle. You could have great results with putting it up by your cuticle. I've always had issues flooding my cuticles since day 1 of doing my nails, so I try to stay away. I'm kinda messy! Lol sorry I know this isn't a clear answer at all! 🫠
This is AWESOME! What about under the tip? To make it smooth and “level”? I LOVE my dual forms, for a break, but curious about the underneath of your tip?
Before you pur it in the lamp, you can flip your hand over and take your brush and smooth any bulk that gunked up. Then cure. When I do this, I mess the whole thing up. Lol. So if I need to, I can take my fine sand bit (perfect size) and file underneath to get that smooth rounded shape , but honestly, the underneath is great without me doing that! I think I am putting thin enough layers than it's not getting bulked up there! Did I answer your Q? I feel like maybe I didn't 🤣🤣 lmk!!!
I always thought the sticky dispersion layer occurs where on the open air which would be on the underside with the dual form. Are you sure you shouldn’t be cleansing the underside to avoid contact with uncured gel?
@@BrittsDipsinteresting. I wonder why. I’ve had allergies in the past and am very careful with the brand I use and keeping it off my skin. I definitely want to try this idea and I absolutely love the upside down lamp idea to get the curing started without having to clip the form to your finger
@taftag69 I never used the clips! Lol it kept messing up if I tried. Maybe try one and see how it goes for you, to make sure you don't have a response!
also do you soak the brush with something before applying the builder gel on the nail? BTW GREAT VIDEO! i’ve watched hundreds and i think yours was the best 😁😁
@mars this made my month!!!! Thank-you! And nope I just dip the brush right in. No solution needed. Polygel has a solution to use because it is Thicker and doesn't smooth. Builder gel is more liquidy and doesn't need anything on the brush to help! I hope this answered and made sense!! Thank you for watching!!!!
@mars 🥰🥰 I love this! You've inspired me to make more! Ive been in a rut and busy with my new job and haven't made any in a really long while!!!! Lmk if there's anything specific you want to see and I'll add it to my list!
I think it might be just preference. These can last longer because you can 'fill' them. Whereas the tips just grow out and need to be changed. I prefer this method because I have flatter nail beds, and tips sometimes gap up on me and don't entirely stick. This conforms to your nail shape. Help this helps!!!
Lol it’s ok. Hard gel has to filed cannot be soaked off and there is “uve led soak off builder gel” aka soft gel. ** confusing 😅. Thankyou for getting back to me so quick.
Can we cure it using any UV led lamp? Because mine it takes more than 5 mins to get cured.... really worried. Please hive a response to why this is happening. Love from SL 🇱🇰
Hi Friend! I am so sorry on my delay of seeing your message!!! You may have a lamp that has a lower intensity, which would require more time curing. My is a 48 w LED/UV lamp. Those specs should work for you! You don't have to purchase a super expensive one, but make sure it's both LED and UV and at least 48 watts
Hi!! They lasted until I needed a fill, BUT for the last year I have been only using 'rubber base gel' , nothing else, and I haven't broken a nail, chipped polish, nothing. I do mma and I am able to keep my nails longer and healthy. I recommend looking in to the rubber base gel, it comes in clear and colors. When i do the color one, I put 2 layers of clear down first, then a few layers of color. When I do clear, I do about 4 thin layers. I have also done 2 layers of clear rubber base, a layer of GEL color, and then 2 layers of clear rubber base. I haven't broken a nail in over a year, it's insane and I highly recommend. It's stronger and tougher than gel (doesn't let your nails bend) but doesn't chip or lift like dip. Incredible. You can find some how to videos on IG for it. I love the brand moon dust dip co -clear rubber base gel. 10/10 best clear. I do not recommend madam glams rubber base, it doesn't toughen.
HOLD TF UP 😦😦 the upside down UV lamp is a Hack in itself 🙌🏼🙌🏼 Thank you ☺️

I need to have short nails for work. Would the nails end up with a square shape if I cut them to a short/extra short length? Great video!
Yes or you could taper them in and do a different shape, ballerina or coffin etc!
You should build an apex a little bigger on nails that long so they have strength and don't snap off.

The inhibition or tacky layer is underneath and needs to be cleaned. It's curing the opposite way since you have something ontop. ❤
