I have a question. I have an older AM4 socket motherboard and a R7 2700x. Should I get a R7 pro which only uses pcie gen 3 or just get a R9 5950x and get pcie gen 4. Especially with my A580 GPU.

Why is the title Ryzen pro and the thumbnail is Threadripper pro? They are unrelated designations.

Mmmh, I always thought that AMD pro line was a out out-of-band management....
Pro - for business and added security bits and pieces for remote, virtualization, etc.
