Dear TailHappy, I found your reviews last summer when due to unfortunate circumstances, I lost most of my vision. I can no longer cycle in nature and have been reduced to a stationary bike experience - which is still glorious to those of us who cannot see well. Your honest, detailed reviews and comparisons of bikes, as well as rowing machines, have been a blessing to me for which I am extremely grateful. On some of your comparison videos you included crank arm length and "Q factor." Please include these measurements in all your bike reviews as I feel I am not the only viewer who rates these measurements as vital information. Further, as a low vision person, it is now very difficult for me to rapidly, and easily, search for these measurements. Again, I thank you for your dedication to ensuring the superb quality of your product.
I’m grateful these videos have been a blessing for you, and I’m happy to hear you’re still able to enjoy your indoor rides! The Q factor of this bike is 204mm, I’m not sure what the crank arm length is off the top of my head, but it feels standard. Hope this helps!
I've watched quite a few of your reviews now, which have all been amazingly detailed, on-point and very helpful, TY so much! The GT+ was our choice, after lots of research and deliberation. (I clicked on your link and it took me took the UK site, so not sure if it'll work for you, affiliate payment-wise, but I do hope so!) Either way, I've ordered it and without your informative reviews I would probably have purchased a much less suitable bike, without realising the GT+ has features that'll make a real difference to both me and my kids, who will certainly want to enjoy it too. Thanks again for taking the time to make these videos, we really appreciate your knowledge and clear explanations as complete newbies to the stationary bike world ! :)
I appreciate the reviews you give. I have been looking to get something to exercise on at home but don’t want to pay too much. And you cover everything!! No questions left! Thank you.
Thanks so very much for all your fantastic reviews. They are greatly appreciated. Being around your height, I'm wondering if you might someday do a "roundup" of the "Best Bikes for Tall Riders," (top 5 or so) running the gamut in terms of price. I would absolutely love to see that video. Thanks again!
Thank you so much for this review; I've been researching a Peleton alternative and this seems like a perfect fit for me. I will use your link to purchase as soon as I move in 2 months!
I ended up buying the Keiser M3i based on your videos and had my first two rides on it today. It is such a sturdy piece of equipment and I enjoy the ride - your review was spot on. I was so tempted by some of the Sunny bikes but just worried about quality over the span of a few years and figured the Keiser would be a 'buy once, cry once' type purchase (hopefully). Still, even though I am in no way in the market to buy another bike, I enjoyed this video and will keep watching your reviews and insights you upload. Thank you!!
Great review. With multi-tasking on the iPad, it’s now really easy to have two apps open at the same time. You can even choose to have your metrics floating, in a 2nd app, on top of your instructor-led session.
Thank you for this review! Your reviews are very useful. Just ordered this one after having to return two Sunny Fitness Magnetic Smart SF B1 Bikes because the pedal crank started shifting after one ride.
Can't wait to see your review of the echelon ex8! Just ordered it as a gift to myself. Excited to get it and hope your review is a good one. I am a beginner as I use to be a runner but now my knees are not having it. Also my doc who is an avid cyclist really wanted me to take up cycling. I started at physical therapy and really enjoyed cycling. Plan on having lots of questions in the future! Thank you so much for your videos
@@davidthibault7683 I love it so far but like I stated I'm a beginner. Do wish the speakers on it were better but there's so much to love I can't complain. They do offer a sound bar I may purchase
Great review thank you! Would you mind comparing this to the EX-4s+ that Costco has on sale for $799 and now comes with a 15” screen. Thanks for your great videos and comparisons.
I've been appreciating your indoor bike reviews and was curious if you think the better handlebars, fore/aft adjustment, wider seat, and weight rack are worth $300 more than the regular GT?
Lately it’s been the Echelon GT+ for quick ten minute rides in the morning and evening while watching RUclips vids, but my favorite bike is my outdoor bike :)
I just bought one of these yesterday because I'm tired of watching videos and being undecided. Time to start riding. I have 120-in home theater so I'm trying to figure out the best way to use that and integrate it so that I'm riding somewhere cool and different each day. I really wanted to avoid any bike with a built-in screen as I have a nice tab S7 and don't want to be locked into anything. I just wish they sold this bike at Costco.
@@ebonywinn50 The bike itself is great but I am having a heck of a time connecting my Android devices. A free month of service in the app wasted because I still haven't been able to log in. I hear apple devices are less problematic. The bike itself is great though so I am considering just buying an iPad at Costco or something.
Just a quick follow-up ...echelon's customer service was very helpful and everything got reset so I'm now able to get on with my note 9 and my Galaxy tab S3 without issue. Been working well ever since. Great bike.
I'm loving all your reviews, I have a chance to buy a used Echelon X5 Connect for $500 or Echelon EX-4s for $300. I don't see a review for the X5 on your channel, your thoughts? Thanks
Thank you for all the great information. I am wondering if you did a comparison with this and the Schwinn IC4. Debating between the two. Also 6'3" so that may be the deciding factor.
Hi @TailHappyTV, I was curious if you would you be willing to see if the tablet holder from the GT/GT+ would work on the Amazon bike? I have the Connect Sport, and would love to have the tablet straight ahead rather than looking down during rides. I know I can just buy a third party holder...but always like OG integrated offerings when possible.
Just got one and was quite disappointed to see that the usb charger pass through will not work with my ipad Mini 6, and I assume with the newer ipads with higher energy requirements. It just says "Not Charging". Works with my older Pixel 2XL phone though. Buyer beware if this is aspect of a Bring Your Own Tablet type bike is meaningful to you. So maybe I'll do a phone plugged in like this with a mount and just use the ipad for classes or entertainment when I know it is charged.
Great review! Wish it wasn’t manual resistance. Can you tell me if the EX4/EX5 has auto resistance functionality within the Echelon App? I know they are motorized resistance but you didn’t make the comparison when you reviewed EX4S to other bikes. Thanks!
Is the GT+ model more durable than the cheaper Connect Sport/Smart model in terms of its cadence sensor? On Amazon and Reddit, there are a lot of reports of broken cadence sensors on the cheaper Connect Sport model. Does the GT+ have the same durability issue with its cadence sensor?
What a great review! I was looking at their website and it seems like they are requiring purchasing a membership. Is that really the only option to purchase it at the moment?
Thank you, perhaps, so I have not really been keeping up, but it does seem that the revenue model of these companies is aiming to keep people on automatic recurring payments
@@TailHappyTV thanks for the reply! That’s unfortunate :( because of your review I was heavily leaning towards the GT+ but may likely settle for the GT or the EX3 from target. If the GT+ was going to be my number one, which would you put as second between the GT and EX3? But your point about the seat size has me hesitant on either. Any suggestions on how to resolve the seat?
From a quality perspective how do you feel about this bike up against the Stryde? I've seen in your videos the Styde goes on sale but whats the sale price? I always see it at around $1495. Debating these two bikes, I like the attached tablet on the Styde but I could always just use my Ipad.
Because you seem responsive to comments. I did end up getting this bike, yay! But I am curious does the handle bars on yours have a slight wobble when it is fully tightened? Like a side to side movement when you put pressure on one side of the handle bars?
I'm really torn between the GT+ or the Stryde bike. Is the GT+ as sturdy as the Stryde? I think that might be my biggest question. I plan to do about 45 minute rides with good cardio burn. I love that you can flip the screen adaptor on the GT+ which you can't get on the Stryde.
Just curious if you saw that the Walmart Echelon Connect Sport is currently $200! Extremely great price for a really nice bike. Do you think they’ll discontinue this one now that they have the GT and GT+.
I can't reach the GT handlebars because they don't adjust fore/aft. Would the GT+ be any closer? Of all the bikes, which bike is best for someone 5'2"?
Hold on. How in the world did you just recently do a GT review then this one weeks after?!?!?! 😂😂😩I’m just gonna stick to the GT even though you make the GT+ seems so amazing. I’m being good and not wasting money switching 😩but I really want to know is there really a super difference? 👀
