I discovered in the last couple of days as I’ve played with my new bike, that cadence doesn’t matter. At my age and at my out of shape physical condition, simply getting the pedals around in a circle is an accomplishment!
The 1805 continues to be a great bike. It is such a smooth ride and can offer a good challenge. I don't need the metrics to ride and enjoy a chance to do different spin programs. The 1805 is a solid bike. Really good video. As a non Peloton bike owner but a user of the app, your chart is helpful. Thanks Matt. Keep em coming. Happy riding.
Thanks to your reviews I bought an 1805 and received it today via Amazon. I’m a thorough shopper and finally pulled the trigger. I set it up in an hour and did my first 30 min ride. I couldn’t be happier. I can’t believe how smooth and quiet it is! Build quality is excellent and so is the finish. I’m one happy 70 year old spinner.
I just upgraded my Yosuda to the Sunny Bike 1805. Wow - what a difference! I watched a bunch of your videos and settled on the 1805. It’s only been about a week, but I love riding it. Thanks for all of the info!
@@nag617 yes, it’s been a great bike! I use both the Peleton and the iFIT apps with it and have been very happy with how the bike performs. A huge improvement over my first spin bike.
Awesome videos man. I purchased the 1805 a few days ago through your link. Rides really smooth! And I appreciate the amount of inside knowledge you share in your reviews.
Thank you so much for your review! I purchased the Sunny SF-B1805 based on your review and it's exactly what I was looking for. A solid bike with magnetic resistance and a super smooth ride. If you need more resistance this bike has that as well. I was riding in our living room and my wife could not even hear me riding. I'm so glad I found your review! I didn't want to buy a super expensive bike, but also didn't want a bike that was cheaply made that was no fun to ride and just sat around. This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you again!
And...you sold me! Thanks. I've watched a bunch of your videos and decided to go for Sunny 1805. Thank you. Followed links for bike and Wahoo. Now I'm off to figure out if I have everything for a DIY Peleton experience. Hopefully I can assemble it ok. Saw your unpacking. I'm challenged in that department but I'm going to give it a try. UPDATE / They raised the price to $770! I'm glad I grabbed it at $600. That's waaayyy too much. Oh, and it was easy to set up! Package arrived beat up and the bike was fine.
I just bought a Sunny 1805 at a garage sale for $40. Best money I ever spent. When I looked up the price for a new one and found out it is $600 new I was amazed that it was priced so cheap at the sale. It is a great exercise bike for anyone who doesn’t need a lot of bells and whistles.
This channel persuaded me to buy the Sunny 1805 and I love it. It is built to be very sturdy. I use zero video applications/classes/programs, etc. to work out but do have the Wahoo software to track speed and cadence. I read instead. Plus I don't come close to using its maximum resistance. But magnetic resistance was important to me in addition to having a belt drive too. Great bike! Many thanks TrailHappy TV!
You can't beat Sunny Health and Fitness for the pricepoint and application. I would never buy a Peloton even if I had the budget. I also have a Sunny Health Row n Ride, which was super affordable and offers a great work out. Nice review.
Are you planning on giving the Sunny 1805 a TailHappy score? It just seems like you've made so many videos on it already that I'm wondering if a score is coming lol.
I just took the risk and bought the Sunny 1805. This will be my first indoor bike, but after watching many reviews I'm confident this is the one. it cost me 640$ on amazon.
Quick check my bike is put together correctly. At max resistance on the 1805 there is about a fingers width of space above the wheel between the leather brake?
Love your videos thank you. Couldn’t bring myself to spending the $2500 on the Peleton, even if I could afford it 😜 I opted for the Sunny, due to not being obligated to subscriptions and great price however the one that you reviewed was out, the B1805 so I bought Sunny synergy pro magnetic B1851 since specs were similar with the option that I could use my spin shoes. Do you know if there any other major difference or have you done reviews.
Hello! First of all that you so much for such a great source of information for us! I do cycle with clip on shoes but my husband just does the cage. Do you recommend any specific brand for pedals that would serve to both of us? Thank you so much!
I’m interested in purchasing a spin bike. Am going thru your videos I pick one then I see another one I like. In your opinion, with all the bikes you’ve reviewed, which one of these is the closest to the peloton bike? Thank you for your videos you are very thorough.
It depends on what kind of pedals the bike comes with. The Sunny bike here has cage pedals so you can wear any type of athletic shoe. You can switch out the pedals for SPD or Delta if you prefer. Peleton has cage and delta, but I’ve seen many people online switch the pedals out for SPD
What parts of these open flywheel bikes get hot, and how hot? We have toddlers and wanna make sure they don't touch something after we ride that burns them.
Any chance of the sole sb700 or 900 being reviewed? Very few reviews exist on RUclips. Would love to hear your opinion on the sole sb700 or sb900. I purchase the sb900 recently. Still waiting to receive it. To keep me occupied till then I have been watching many of your excellent reviews!!
Based on your previous reviews, I got the 1805 a couple weeks back. This video definitely doesnt give me buyers remorse and either does the quality of the bike as I have experienced. Just wish you guys would have told this new spinner that this type of exercise is a huge test on the quads.
You could get power meter pedals... expensive I know especially when they cost more than most of those bikes there. But you could put them on every bike there and get a more accurate power output and compare better to the Peloton. It would give you a lot more video content to test all bikes and you could start a website and get a crap ton of traffic. Or not lol
I use the Favero Assiomo Uno power meter pedals on my 1805 , combined with mpaceline app which integrates nicely with peloton app for half the price of Peloton bike+. Can now do the powerzone workouts with more accurate power measurement than the Peloton bike.
Any ideas how I can display my cadence and / or my heart rate with an android smartphone? Do I need to open like two different apps at the same time (wahoo fitness app & the peloton app)?
I’ve been debating which bike! And I may go with the sunny 1805. Have $900 max for a bike. Any other bike that would beat sunny 1805 for just a bit more or nah
I know it’s a diff bike and you have me sold on the Sunny brand. So I’m wanting to purchase a nice bike and my wife is wanting the electronics. We’re goin to be first time riders and we are looking at the Sunny Synergy Pro for 674.00 on Amazon Bc it has the electronics There are no reviews on it that I can find. Would love your opinion on this bike being a good purchase for beginners without sinking any more money in it. Thanks!
@Natalie Yes it is difficult when first clipping in. It takes a little practice. Sometimes your cleat tension is to tight and it's really hard to clip in (In Matt's video on changing pedals he shows you how to change the tension). But keep practicing. It gets better and it makes a difference in your ride. Happy riding.
chapters are listed per usual, please click like! 1805 to peloton conversion chart linked in community post

Likewise, I bought the 1805 when Amazon dropped it back to $600 (based on TailHappyTV reviews!) and am loving it!

I've turned my 1805 into a Peleton bike and it's great! Smooth ride :)
This man is really getting a full workout to give us this comparison.

The sunny 1805 should have magnetic resistance.
No leather brake pad.
Maybe you have a different model ?
Is there a way to increase the resistance?
The 1805 does have a leather pad for braking but magnetic resistance for riding.

If all I care about is heart rate then will my FitBit be sufficient?

Is the Sunny quiet?
$440 on amazon
Peloton flywheel weight is 35 pounds.
check out the sunny bike training cycle performance- SF-B121021 it is the better version of the 1805 but it has metrics and its only $349
