@@gohanpcgamer you don't download cores bro. Just load a video by clicking on load content. I just tried it. Sorry but yeah don't create a playlist. It doesn't work that way.
flac is supported in FFmpeg, and the best I can find, next to nothing supports superaudio, outside of some high end sony stuff you can convert superaudio to flac without loss
Omg, this is perfect! This is exactly what i wanted! could you do a video on how to put a ver filter on movies/series? This is perfect for watching low res anime and tv shows that will probably never get a proper remaster, to mask the compression artifacts
@@Libretro Thanks for reply...is there a "trick" to play...say an Mp3album from start to finish without manually starting each song every other minute...maybe putting it in an iso/chd and load it...it's ok if not...as you say....it's not a mediaplayer but it would have been nice;) ......and thank you for all your great work to the LibRetro-Team!
It's because Retroarch just comes with it now, so you don't need to download that core anymore. I can't actually get it to work though, it's still asking for a core. Edit: Got it to work you have to go to import content and then scan then scan the file.
How can I download the FFmpeg core? It already apprears in my info folder, but not in the Core Downloader :( Uptade: Nevermind, I discovered that came by default in Retroarch when you put a mp4 file.
I didn't have to download a core, I can play the videos, but they lag bad with the shaders. I can emulate up to dreamcast with the ambilight immersive filter (koko aoi), is there a faster core or settings I can change?
I would use this if it was a little less intense on the CPU. I can't get smooth playback because it just uses too much resources. In contrast mpv is smooth sailing.
@@Libretro Hey, if you could add RUclips-dl plus option to choose 720p@60fps it would be my go to streaming platform. Most players want max res + 60fps, or 30fps and 720p.
Over the past year significant improvements have been made to it though. I haven't encountereda any crash during skip. There is hardware video codec support now, and in the case your GPU doesn't support many codecs in hardware, you can also do software multithreaded decoding.
@@Libretro Dunno. I'm trying to watch long play videos (these run at 60fps). I have more than 300 of such videos on my PC and at least half of them will crash RA after a couple of times i press the seek button. Also, how can you even go to the end of a video? I can only skip a few seconds every time. Unless you can do more if you keep pressing it but it crashes for me so i never managed that. Finally, some videos lose sync and stutter. In other players they play smoothly, only ffmpeg does that. I tried every codec, every option. So i gave up and now watch those videos with other players. I wanted to use shaders but the player is pretty much unusable for me. Also, yes, i updated the core yesterday and tested it. Still crashes, still stutters (in some videos, not all of them). Oh my god. Now I wanna watch anime with a CRT filter.
Watching old movies with CRT Shader is the next big thing!

RetroArch is like a swiss army knife.
Swiss army emulator
They just use it to play military training games lol
Getting the madVR Video Renderer on RetroArch would be epic.
Hi there. I haven't been able to find the ffmpeg core in the AppImage of retroarch (I'm on linux).

why was this core removed??
because its now built-in, just create a playlist

Awesome! That VHS shader was so cool... I was hoping this core would do that exact thing!
Amazing! Maybe future integration with Kodi or Plex possible?
@Dazer12 Thanks! I've looked up online and I got it working. I'm watching old 480i episodes on CRT shaders it's awesome.

There is no way to download this core from Retroarch. What am I missing?
I can't seem to get subtitles to work at all on pc
hmmm i wonder what shaders would be good with this!
You can try with CRT presets to see if it's nice.
Can I make my rom game list with image and video?

It has software render option if you have low performance gpu.

"FFmpeg is a Video/music" is technically true, but if that is all you're using it for, then why not just use mplayer or mpv?
You can’t use mplayer on PlayStation Classic, Genesis Mini or Switch. I haven’t used Mplayer but not sure it supports shaders.
