I am a big fan of flash. However in the examples shown in the video the flash was much to bright. In my understanding fill-in flash requires to underexpose the ambient light in order to allow the flash to fill in. I liked the photos without flash better than your images with flash.
this is yungins style...there is no logic... the whole point of new gens style it seem is to create a new trend or look thats different than the mainstream look of the previous gen( meaning the trend from previous-previous gen would work)... blurriness, added grain, vhs look etc
Mostly it's all about syncing the clips Cameras don't really matter people rn are using old VHS with a Fisheye lens. Record everything depending on the project or concept so it makes sense. For me a very important thing to sell the reels is music selection and further sound design to sell the effects you use example he used for the snaps on this tutorial the simple use of a camera shutter haha. But there's loads of tutorials around learn when to use the effects and how to make it flow and make it dynamic. End goal is replay value :)
Using flash during sunny time is really cool ! That's depend on wich point & shoot you have, i got the Yashica T4 & you got a flash with sun mode that works so well !
I love this style but i think a little plastic diffuser on the flash goes a long way, the images you took look good but a little softening with the diffuser would make all the difference. still a great video and a beautiful scene you shot in.
nice tuto but I expected more details on settings. did you use manual expo mode on a7 camera to expose for daily light (or use a ND filter) with shutter speed
i do of course, but reason why i look videos is to see how pro make things, to spare time,... kind of rule of thumbs. Also not obvious to experiment during a wedding...

Just clicked on this video by accident. To me your overexposed on both in the examples during shoot. You're not setting your ambient exposure first and using the flash to fill in. If you look at your shots without the flash the sky is overexposed.
hi ! how did you get the Nikon sb-600 flash (or the other one) on your Sony a7iii? did you use a hot shoe adapter?? I can't seem to get my Nikon flash on my Sony and don't want to dish out a couple hundreds! thanks man :)
If I'm not mistaken, you don't need an adapter at all, it will trigger just fine as long as you're using the manual mode. However, you will not be able to use the TTL mode.
Keep working. The composition needs some changes. Having that tree come out of his head is an awful distraction as is the slouching pose. You have some wonderful trees in the background that would make a beautiful backdrop. The flash is very harsh. Try decreasing your exposure by about a stop to a stop and a third. Keep practicing though!
Shoutout Peace for assisting the vid: ruclips.net/user/PeaceGates 🤝

I think the photos looked great its all preference really, there is no right way to shoot we all have a different vision.
I liked it quite a bit. I think it was just the right amount of flash

Thanks for sharing! I needed a quick reminder video and this was perfect examples 👌🏻
Shoutout to you for wearing a Kaizer Chiefs jersey ❤🔥
We need a full tutorial on how you make your instagram reels, like from the cameras (and settings) to how you edit and how you export! Thank you

I think examples with flash are overexposed, but i know the concept and you are right for using flash on daylight.
I imagine both images are straight from camera, pre-grade, so the highlights can be brought down a bit.
My fav youtube channel rn your videos are insane 😩😩
Definitely a sick use of flash!!!
Don't see it enough 🤯
haha
Best photography style for me personaly
That Kaizer Chiefs jersey got you a new sub ❤&✌
Have you used TTL or Manual mode? Have you flash compensation for avoiding strong light?
This was very helpful! Thanks!
Gaku dropping some bombs recently ✨
Great content!! Love the photos.
Question though - can the Contax flash be connected to the Sony body directly?
I love this style but i think a little plastic diffuser on the flash goes a long way, the images you took look good but a little softening with the diffuser would make all the difference. still a great video and a beautiful scene you shot in.
Really like the yellow T-shirt you wearing, it for our local soccer team here in South Africa
To me, fill flash is used to improve the shadow areas and you shouldn’t really notice it
Damn that Kaizer Chiefs jersey made it around the world ! Rad video dude, super helpful ✌🏼
😅
A real inspiration love your work dude

you asking all these technical questions that you seem to have a grasp on...then why not got try out your own questions

Wowie so underrated! I’m gonna try it out :)
yes please ❤️
Thanks so much for this video ! Is it possible to recreate this kind of almost overexposed lighting for the video, to be shot outside as well ?
Can you make a video about stabilisation on camera? I often wonder if you use a gimbal or just your camera to film
amazing
Biggest inspiration

What’s wrong with overexposed sky and keeping the faces beautifully exposed? I think the photos look great.
Bro 😂 where did you get a Kaizer Chiefs football jersey??

Did you ever figure this out? I got the same issue! Been stuck on it for months smh 🤦🏽♂️
nice tree
let's goooo first comment!!!!
what hotshoe adapter do you use for the nikon flash to work with sony?

@@shazleysnnryecs1044 okok thxx!
Did you ever figure this one out bro? I’ve been stuck with the same issue!
Fill flash is what it is , FILL, your image is showing he was FLASHED…too much…blend it better, a kiss of the flash is sufficient.
Phil Phlash
Which lens did you use ?
^^

Good video but horrible title, you dont actually show us how you set the flash settings etc. Just show us the difference between with or without
I don’t like this obvious flash look.
sorry but you shouldn't try to teach anyone anything about flash
Very shity way to use flash. It brings amators to my mind.
you have no idea what you are doing...the pictures are totally ALL over exposed....
This is not tutorial and it didnt help me
