this vid is from the Universe 'Warhammer 40K', and there's 4 vids from Bricky that has almost become a tradition for new Warhammer 40K viewers, and they are, in order most watch them, "What is Warhammer 40,000? | Timeline of 40k Lore", then "Every single Warhammer 40k (WH40k) Faction Explained | Part 1" and 2, and last "Every Single Warhammer Space Marine Legion in a Nutshell"... cant wait for u to react to them!
OK This video Astartes is set in universe of Warhammer 40k. The big guys in armor are Adeptus Astartes/Space Marines, 8 feet tall genetically enhanced super soldiers in power armor that enhances their already enhanced strength and speed. They are the specialised Super soldiers of the Imperium of Man, the Imperium is the main empire of Humanity in Warhammer 40k. The Space Marines were created by the Emperor of Mankind. The Imperium has over a millions human worlds. The people their fighting are rebels/Traitors and they two with spines coming out the backs are Pyskers, Pyskers are people who can do basically Space magic and the Emperor of Mankind is also a Pysker he is the most powerful human Pysker in Warhammer 40k. The golden spheres are alien entity's with Pysker powers. The guy in the red hood is an Inquisitor an agent of the Imperium, 11:03 the Inquisitor got possessed by the Sphere and he was killed by it could control him. 12:41 those metal studs above his eye are Service Studs they represents the number of years a Space Marine has served also to tell their age. Silver studs are 50 years and golden studs are 100 years. This Space Marine has two silver studs and one golden one meaning he's 200 years old, yeah Space Marines live for a very long time. Also Demons and Dark gods exists in Warhammer 40k.
The Sphere was (probably) a C'tan, one of the 'Star Gods', or at least a part of one. The golden body was a shell that the C'tan used before they were 'broken' by the Necrons (like the 'Heart of Darkness' - Nightbringer (40K Novel) by Graham McNeill) I think the things they stabbed into the Sphere allowed the Imperium to teleport (drag something through the warp (the warp is a hell dimension used to travel interstellar)) it to the Imperium's ship, where the Psyker tried and failed to control it. After failing, it teleported its self back to the other ship.
@@tb1271 Not a C'Tan. The C'Tan were not warp entities and the spheres look nothing like Necron tech. The things in the sphere's were warp entities, most likely chaos demons. Also, there were two spheres. The Inquisition psycher was eavesdropping on their conversation. There is a transcript of what they were saying since it's very hard to make it out.
@@tb1271 Idk about some of that... the entity in the sphere clearly was preyed upon and devoured by another warp entity, which ceased holding onto the marines, flinging them to where they ended up, unceremoniously. I believe the psychic spikes they used to stab the sphere with were conduits, or anchors used to send back psychic energy to the Inquisitor, allowing them to psychically eavesdrop on what the spheres were communicating with each other about. Once the first sphere already in Imperium captivity told the second sphere to "Take them" the first and second spheres 'released their seals' The first ones possibly being the actual prison its in, and the second being its 'shell', both trying to coordinate break outs, but the one in captivity failed its possession of the psyker, and the second being preyed upon in the warp.
Who is there? I’ve failed Brother, we have ALL failed. The Astartes deny our touch. You must return. Break your shield. Impossible, (I) will never survive. You must! Take them!
Astartes is the High Gothic (language) term for the Space Marines. They are Human Super Soldiers like captain America and Master Chief from Halo except more extreme to the point that they are considered as Demi-Gods and monsters who serve the God Emperor of Mankind. The silver studs you saw on that one’s forehead equates to 50 years of service, meaning that Space Marine you saw at the end has been in service and has been fighting Mankind’s enemies (both alien, Human, and demonic) for over 150 years. This is just a metaphorically one page in the tome that is Warhammer 40k which is a whole can of worms that is a MUST for you all to watch.
Sorry about the 720P! its been weird finding videos that have been compresed and whatnot but hey we at least still have them :) Thanks for the love. What other 40K lore should we dive into? and...What exactly is warhammer 40k?
Watch Helsreach by Richard Boylan. It is a fanmade movie based on a published Warhammer Novel. It will show a glimpse of the universe and the people who fight in it from the perspective of a Space Marine
Try all "total warhammer 3 trailers " totally worth it especially if u like lord of the ring type settings. Warhammer 40k is the star war on steroids version of that
As for the title I would definitely put Astartes in it. The video is called Astartes project or something like that so people searching specifically for it should see your faces in the list as well.
"Is this based of a videogame?" Yes, the game is called Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War. In fact, the game was so popular that the tabletop game been developed based on it together with whole fictional universe.
It's almost always cringe to hear people who don't know 40k speculate on what they are watching. Although I think you are the first people I have seen react to a video who have never even heard of Warhammer.
So...turns out they are more than just "Space Robots" haha. A couple of yall have suggested Bricky Videos! Will be reacting to those soon

Brother, we have ALL failed. The Astartes deny our touch. You must return. Break your shield.
Impossible, (I) will never survive.
You must! Take them!
40k Has been around since 87. There is a lot of deep lore, and it's described as grim dark. It's kind of like eldritch horror in space.
I think these are the bad guys.
Team Human is having a rough day.
Guy understands decades of lore and the meta in 5 seconds.
"Good guys" .... about that....
Welcome to the nightmare guardsmen. Pick up that lasguns and go to sector bravo. We got heretics inbound. FOE THE EMPEROR!
"Foe the emperor"??? SOUNDS LIKE SOME HERESY!!!

Well, well, well, finally one of my favourite reaction channels FINALLY reacts to this video. Next will be the Bricky one, details to follow

Ahaha another channel beginning the dive down the rabbit hole. Welcome! lol
I highly recommend Brickys Vids, they are a great start to the franchise and give a solid overview.
OH and LOL good guys in Warhammer 40,000
Sup Steven

Don't miss out Brother, get into WH40K
There are no good guys in 40k
No good guys, just shades of bad.
As for the title I would definitely put Astartes in it. The video is called Astartes project or something like that so people searching specifically for it should see your faces in the list as well.
Oh hello. Welcome
Ain’t y’all seen this already?
wrong from the getgo, team human IS winning
Team human is the one in the armor, the rest are heretics
"Is this based of a videogame?"

I don't know if it's a joke, but if it is then it's a good one

Kinda our mission in this channel. Uninformed dummies guess what they’re watching until they become so informed it becomes their personality 😂
Luetin videos are better for beginners. Bricky videos good for react content but full of not explained memes and full with mistakes
This not for you Normies, marvel is over there 👉💩.
lolol
