No, Space Marines in Warhammer 40,000 are not allowed to have romantic relationships: Genetic modifications Space Marines are sterile due to genetic modifications, so they cannot procreate sexually like humans. Combat orientation Space Marines are so combat-oriented that they don't think about romantic relationships. Relationship to the Emperor The only relationship they can have is to the Emperor and love for their battle brothers. However, there are some scenarios where a Space Marine could have had a family before becoming an astarte warrior
Yeah, the Space Marines, AKA "Adeptus Astartes" are specially designed shock-troops that are basically trans-humanist walking tanks. They're stuffed full of crazy implants that make them like 7 foot tall, they have 2 hearts and 3 lungs, no need to sleep, they hardly age, and to top it all off, they're basically encased in an armor-plated refrigerator. Also, touching the "they look like Zerg" yeah, but I actually like that GW has remained consistent in their designs since the 80's. The retro-future aesthetic of 40k is part of what gives it its charm, IMO. Oh, and the "Roided-out mommy-nuns" official name is the "Adeptus Sororitas". There are so many factions in 40k with their own complex lore, there's really a place for everyone in the "grim-dark future of the 41's millenium".

It's called Power Armour for a reason, they don't just wear it, it augments their strength with motor servos so that they don't have to actually use their muscles to move it, that's why they have a big backpack, it's a power unit/heat pump for the armour. Also, Space Marines can sprint upwards of 55mph. It has been said of them that "nothing that big should move that fast", yet they do. Imagine a half-ton of enraged superhuman barrelling down on you at highway speeds wearing what is effectively a tank. I'd shit myself, you'd shit myself, everyone would just collectively shit themselves in terror. And if the Adepta Sororitas (the Nuns with Guns) could be summed up in one word, it'd be... FIRE. What does the guy who did this do now? I hear he is no longer working for Games Workshop because supposedly GW didn't do anything with him, not putting his skills to use, just kind of owning him and the 40k things he could do, so that any 40k stuff he makes would only be made with their approval(at least if he'd like to make a profit off of it). The Main Faction in Warhammer is the Imperium a super massive empire that spans approximately 3 million worlds across the milky way Galaxy, which was once Led by the Emperor of Mankind a super big and near godlike being who reunited mankind with its lost colonies with the help of 'The Brotherhood' as you called them who are in universe known as the Space Marines or in High Gothic the Adeptus Astartes. Originally there were 20 legions of them which half would go 'traitor' during an event called the Horus Heresy in the 30th millennia, which after that the remaining loyalist legions would be divided into individual chapters set to guard or patrol their assigned area of space in part to ensure such devastation as the Horus Heresy could never happen again. 10 thousand years have passed since then with more chapters being made or lost over the eons with the Imperium once the last hope of mankind slowly deteriorating to a uber grimdark hellhole which it has only in lore recently begun to reverse with the return of two of the Loyalist Primarchs (the Emperor's sons and the Leaders and Genetic Fathers of their individual Legions) and the rediscovery of ancient tech that has once again been given to its armies to use to bring hope back into the galaxy. A good couple Videos to watch to get a slightly better understanding of the setting would be Bricky's series on Every Warhammer 40k Faction Explain Parts 1 and 2, and then his Timeline Vid.

So they gave the creator of Astartes a job and killed his project at the same time. Oh yeah, the guys in the armor are called Space Marines. Isn't it the case that Games Workshop only have a problem with you making passion projects of 40k if you profit from it without Games Workshop getting a cut? I heard that's how it works, and that they don't have a problem with it if you are not getting money for it. Is that actually the case? Let's say I make a drawing of any of the Primarchs and uploads it on my social media. Does Games Workshop want me to stop doing that again if I profit from it, or do they want a cut regardless if I make a profit from it or not? Let's say I make a cinematic of 40k, whatever it is, and not profiting from it, would they want me to take it down unless they get a cut? How does it actually work? Can anything like Astartes be made, let's say without profiting from it(even if one would want to as an independent artist, without being forced to work for GW), without GW coming to assert their claims? Can anything like the Astartes project be made independently from GW, if it's not made to profit from it independently from the direct influence and permission of GW?
