Great video. I’ll be doing the exact repair on my sisters car tomorrow. Thanks!

My dad will be doing this repair on my 2007 Mustang, thanks for the detailed video. Firestone had recommended this repair previously due to a small crack but one of those things that I was going to get around to. I was driving the other day and happened to notice a sound and checked my coolant level. It was completely empty, because of the small leak I had I kept distilled water in my car as a just in case and filled it up and drove it the mile home. In your opinion, would a cracked housing cause all the coolant to leak out? My heat stopped working this winter, would a damaged thermostat housing cause that?

Their are two coolant lines going from the heater core at the year of the engine. One is extremely difficult to replace as it is completely behind the intake. I would check both hoses for leaks.

LOL, I don't sell parts. My guess you tried to order the part from Autozone and did not get it yet. I would call them and complain.

Is the car drivable again the next day after changing the thermostat housing? Is it normal for smoke to come out a bit after the change? Thank you

It was driven the same day. Smoke could come out for a minute, but it should clear up quickly. If you still have smoke, I would do a compression or head gasket test.
