98 to 2011 Ford Ranger Standard Cab Roof Drip Molding Replacement
In this video, I replace the roof drip molding on a 2008 Ford Ranger Standard cab. These instructions work on Rangers between 98 and 2011. Only Standard cab model have this roof molding part. I recommend watching the video completely before starting.

Ok. Ive replaced these items plus fuel pump/filter/regulator and tps and maf. New ccrm and pcm. Vacuum line repairs to manifold and wipers and charcoal canister. Replaced throttle body after cleaning old one still same symptoms. Chased electrical shorts to no avail. Tested each fuse multiple times. Replaced ignition key assembly. Replaced and retimed dizzy and new wires/plugs/coil and tpi. Replaced both O2 sensors and foam cleaned cats while I had access. Oh and cleaned fuel tank while I had it out to install new fuel pump. Compression test while weak is consistent around 90-100 lbs per cylinder. 180+k miles on original 1994 gt 5.0 engine. Aode tranny. Original symtpoms was bouncing speedo then it failed fully then eventually died suddenly left me stranded. After replacing dizzy etc. Ran ok for a little while. Now bad inconsistent stumble at idle. Also judders and nearly stalls when close to full stop while driving. I'm at my wits end. Cant get a reading from odbii either sensor. I have a fully rebuilt engine ready to install but want to be sure the electrical bug is fixed before I bother. What stone have I not yet over turned? Where nexy should I look? Ty
Oh and I replaced the tranny sending unit and the wireloom end at end of aode. Also new alternator and hot/cold leads to it with new 200 amp fuse. Fresh ground cables to frame from block and alternator body. Also new starter/solenoid. And egr valve.
So 94 and 95 Mustangs were known to have electrical fires for the cooling fan. In fact, a recall was issues which installed a fuse box on the fan. If the car ever had the fire (even a minor one), it will cause issues CCRM wiring and the ignition module wires issues. If you don't have the mini fuse block on the fan, then you probably need to pull back the wiring bundle for the electric fan, and check for damage in the area the bundle intersect with other bundles. I have seen this a lot on 94, 95 Mustangs with higher miles.

for the slide pins does it matter which one goes back? i looked and they are different
@bryan-th3xf they should be the same. If not, pull the other side and see which one goes where.

Not usually, uneven tire ware will be biggest sign.
i’ve replaced my wheel bearings , brakes and rotors and still had the wheel bearings fail and cause the whole system to fail, what do you recommend me to check ? i also have a spongey break pedal feeling thanks
Did you grease the wheel bearings when installing ? Did you use Ford grease? Ford uses a different grease.

My wife owns a car/truck rental company and the video was made when one of the trucks was repaired. We don't offer repair services. If you don't have frame damage, self repair is not hard. If you have frame damage, then you will have get a certified shop involve. My damage was not structural.
@chasingmustangs Thank you. The truck only has minor damage, just a bent bumper and broken parts. I was in an accident with a deer, but they are just broken parts. The chassis is fine and the airbags are intact. Thank you for answering. I found your video interesting and very precise, since it shows all the damaged parts and their names so that one can order them, whether at a dealership or online.

you just need the aluminum ends, found on ebay or amazon. That replacement cable will break again. Repair what came with the factory setup and you're good to go for the duration. Cost is minimal. Dry lube is a better choice than dirt attracting WD40 or PB Blaster. If you want to make it slide good, use a lithium or axle grease on the rolling steel the steel roller glides along.

Yes, the compression gauge is just validating accuracy of the crank pulley.

I have the spacer in my aftermarket one but the brake light stays on and if you pull the pedal 9:32 towards you with your hand you can see the brake lights turn off, any ideas how to solve that
So you might have to adjust your backup light bracket. On you brake pedal you will have a bracket for you bracket light sensor. Make sure it is not bent or out of alignment.
Hello, I have a 2013 F150 which I have replaced the brake booster and master cylinder. I have installed with the spacer in and like you mentioned, the pedal was in the incorrect spot and caused pressure on the master cylinder. Removed the spacer and now the studs are too long and the nuts don't reach the fire wall. Am I missing something? Edit: I figured out what the problem was, and it turns out, my new booster (Motorcraft) was bad from the rip. Had a hell of a time trying to figure that one out.
So what engine do you have? The spacer is only used on the V6 trucks.

My mustang had a clicking noise on the drivers side and i looked into videos on youtube and they said it was the passenger side and i took them off and the actuator on the driver side would still click so then i removed it and replaced it ( i dont know if i reset the actuators or not) but when i was installed it i just had to move the black lever to match the actuators lever and i tried to put it on the front vents and it would still make clicking noises so i just decided to flip the black lever manually to the front vents but i want to fix it since it is getting colder now do you have any idea what it could be? Also the actuator when i installed it just kept spinning repeatedly and went in a couple of circles before stopping could this be an issue too?
I think the clicking came from the actuator wanting to spin in circles but the black lever didnt let it so it would click
I'd say this is a good mod for any climate, I'm up in Canada and this issue is pretty obvious in the summer and is just really loud in general

Yes, before you replace it you can touch it to see if it is the one clicking.

Thanks for making this video. My links on my 2010 must have just taken a crap because suddenly I started hearing rattling. The car has over 110,00 miles on it and when I looked the bushings are clearly eaten away on both sides. Mine new links arrive today with red poly bushings and they were inexpensive. I wonder what difference other than not hearing rattling they will make.

The Cleveland did not come out until 1970
The engine is from a 1968 Fairlane and has Windsor style heads and block made in the Cleveland factory. So its not the Boss 302 Cleveland engine offered in the 69 and 70 Mustang. The Boss 302 Cleveland heads were different as well. So it is not a Cleveland performance engine.

@@chasingmustangs I checked using water and starter fluid and couldn’t find anything. I’m trying to see if it’s something with timing. Not sure why only one bank is being affected
@@Dyllanman So I had the bank 2 lean state issues on my 2003 Ranger and it never went away. I tested fuel pressure, had the injectors cleaned, put in new vacuum lines. Replaced the purge and vent solenoid. Then I replaced the O2 sensors and installed new pigtails. I ended up replacing the fuel pump even though pressure showed within spec. The problem would go away for 30 days and then come back. What ended up fixing my truck was replacing the computer. After replacing the computer the problem never came back. I recommend testing fuel pressure next.
