The fact that Yoko Shimomura is able to take a song she composed back in 2002 and is still able to improve upon it with unique takes will never cease to amaze me.
Agreed, although the Missing-Link version was actually not Shimomura's doing. The arrangement and orchestration was handled entirely by Tomomichi Takeoka, who previously did orchestrations for a few of Yuko Komiyama's arrangements in 0.2 and Re Mind.

Man...usually Dearly Beloved is soft and slow almost like it's telling a sad story between two people, but this feels like it's a joyous occasion between lots of people, like it's the peak of keyblade wielding.
In a way, it is; Barring the early days of Daybreak Town, this city is basically the end to a society of Keyblade wielders. (Something that has been nearly impossible to recover from even by the time of Birth by Sleep and Re-Mind.)
It sounds like a celebration of a Silver Age of Keyblade Wielders.
A triumphant march of an era brought forth by Ephemer never giving up and rebuilding on a ruins of a sunken city... Accomplishing a task seemingly impossible but succeding in spite of it all.
Last horray for a time before Scala Ad Caelum's Dark Road times where it feels already stagnant, its glory fading away.
The keyblade wielders are basically Jedi. The union members were child soldiers in a time of conflict/war. The remnants created a society that was more devoted to keeping the peace/study, and in the present day there are very few remaining
With this version I can almost imagine a bunch of keyblade weilders in like a big dining hall in a castle banging cups and clapping as they sing it

Good gravy. This version is quite a new spin. Most of the time this song is more like a quiet lullaby but now? It just became something triumphant and epic…Yoko, you mad composing genius!!!

I didn't think there would be a better rendition than the melody of memory one but THIS ONE HITS DIFFERENT
I honestly didnt love the Melody of Memory as much! Probs just the jazz major in me, I wish they had gotten some real jazz musicians, or a big band, instead of a classical orchestra trying to imitate jazz.
This one is up there with II and III for me

Kingdom Hearts amazes me on how beautiful one song can be I swear it so emotional but this version has that joyful youth main character vibe

Given even the Book of Prophecies doesn't know what happened here, we're very much in the dark on what's going on; However, we know the player survives as they last all the way until the start of Dark Road.

This feels like an anthem, like this is the theme of Scala ad Caelum as a nation of Keyblade Wielders. It fits the idea of an city entirely made up of what would effectively be a standing army of powerful magic knights.

I have a feeling that by the end of this game I’m going to be crying. This just sounds so amazing and victorious almost like a cheer or a victory cry. But then I remember this is about an era that is lost to time. So it makes me think that by the end of the game that’s all going to come crashing down. And maybe we will get a sad, more longing and nostalgic, version of Dearly Beloved to counter this victorious rally. In remembrance of a bygone era that is doomed to be forgotten.

Watch KH4's version be this dramatic, epic rendition that factors in as much of Somnus from FFXV that it can get away with. I don't know how Yoko Shimomura keeps topping herself but can we all agree that she's one of THE girl bosses of video game music? That lady just keeps slaying us like we were the Heartless all along.
The KH4 trailer already played a new theme, though I cannot remember what it was called. (It was played at the Second Breath concert.)
