In our video today, we will look closely at the HSK Level 1 Chinese word - 看Kan.
看Kan in Chinese has a few meanings other than to look/or see in English. We will look at 6 different usages of 看kan in this video. We will also talk about 看kan, 看见kan jian and 看到 kan dao. Are they interchangeable or are they totally different in meaning?
Before going into the usages and differences of kan, let us first learn the pinyin, which is pronunciation, and how this word 看kan can be used as a noun, an adjective and a verb.
Kan has 2 pronunciations - Kàn in the 4th tone and kān in the 1st tone.
