Today, we will learn how to duplicate adjectives in Chinese. How to change 好 to 好好 and 安静 to 安安静静.

So, we should not use 很 if the adjective is duplicated. But I suppose it's okay to use 是.
So, we could say:
婴儿的皮肤嫩嫩的
or
婴儿的皮肤是嫩嫩的
but should not say:
婴儿的皮肤很嫩嫩
老师，您好。我对您想问一个问题。May i know what is the function of reduplication of adjective in Chinese sentence? I just only know the function of reduplication of verb in Chinese sentence for to say the action is an attempt (the duration of that verb is short time, i.e a little bit). 谢谢您！
In my opinion is to soften the tone and sometimes to emphasize the adjective. 😁
