Very helpful👍 Oh to be younger again. I think back to the days when I could carry an 8 iron 150 yds. Now being 70 yrs old, I hit the same club maybe 125 yds. Obviously losing this amount of distance, puts a lot of pressure on me to hit the ball straight. This is where your video’s have really helped me. I got into a bad habit of bending my lead arm during my backswing about 3-4 yrs ago. This resulted in very inconsistent ball striking with my irons. I bottomed out my swing to soon and or to late. Didn’t often get that buttery feel of a perfect strike. Anyhow by keeping my lead arm straight, my low point was incredibly consistent. Ball struck first and than turf. The funny thing is that this shortened my swing but produced more distance and straighter shots. Go figure! Many thanks for your help!

not trying to be a smart ass but i am 76, small and a cancer patient. i have increased my 8 iron to 150 carry and roll at sea level. partially due to jacked lofts on newer clubs, better ball technology, constant flexibility exercise and newer ball tech. But impact and technique is key and i practice contact with footspray every day and use a Mevo. also my iron swing is shorter so i remain connected. Not much loss of speed with proper sequencing. just know it takes work, a lot of it. monitor speed ,impact and attack angle. No reason you cannot get more distance than me.
