- Welcome to our first-time reaction to The Flash movie. Come into the Speed Force with us on this thrilling journey as we share our genuine reactions to the iconic superhero's big-screen adventure. This was a high-speed cinematic experience filled with action, excitement, and the exploration of time-bending abilities. The only thing missing in our opinion was some more Supergirl!
Watch as we witness the legendary speedster, The Flash, portrayed by Ezra Miller, Michael Keaton playing the iconic version of Batman from the 1989 film and Sasha Calle as the fantastic Supergirl.

They will eventually put Bart Allen in the new universe played by a different actor. I think the new universe will get all new superman(duh), Wonder Woman, flash, cyborg, and Batman. Aquaman might be the same actor but I doubt it. All the other weird suicide squad type characters should be the same minus (joker/harlequin).
I have a lot of issues with this film but the grocery store scene with his mother broke me and I wasn't even emotionally attached 😭

This was a really good film. It didn't deserve its fate. Ezra messed up in real life, but he did an excellent job in the film. Lots of actors have made terrible mistakes but he is trying to change. He deserves a chance to try.
Eric Stolz was originally cast as Marty McFly in Back To The Future. He shot scenes for almost month until Robert Zemeckis, Bob Gale, and Steven Spielberg decided to replace him with Michael J. Fox.
But wasn’t Michael j fox originally the first pick for Marty but too busy and Eric was second pick

First Michael Keaton as Batman then seeing Nick Cage as Superman now we got George Clooney back as Batman WHAT! this was pretty good to me can't wait to see what they gonna do next whatever direction they'll go.
Kara left Krypton as a teen, the same time as baby Kal-El, but she got stuck in the phantom zone which kept her young while Kal-El grew up normally on earth. By the time she gets free from the phantom zone, Kal-EL is over 32 years old and has been Superman for at least 3 years. the math is speculation of course because this is all fake haha but Kal-El was a newborn baby when he left Krypton and when he arrived on Earth and the Kents found him he was around 2 years old I'd guess Kara was about 16 years old when she left krypton what would make her age when she arrives at the earth around 17-18 years old. but she was born before Kal-EL therefore she's his older cousin.
It’s crazy how time works once you get the phantom zone involved! Glad we got to see Supergirl in this! We wish we could’ve gotten more of her!

The sound design when Flash boots lifted up and he started to run at the title card was cool. Sounded like a clock ticking
Some of the sound design used in this film is brilliant! It really gives us that sense of raw power.

i think people in general, were to harsh on this movie. Yeah, probably wasn't the masterpiece "best superhero movie" they pitched, it had clumsy CGI but honestly, i had a GREAT time watching it in theaters.
At this point i think The Flash is done for a sequel but im hoping they give it another try. Learning from the mistakes made, i think Muschietti can make a sick ass sequel with Reverse Flash involved.

It’s sad the movie didn’t do well because it was actually a really good movie and deserved better.
15:30 “Why do they look like cartoons of themselves?” While most of the film’s CGI is more indefensible, the Chrono-Bowl was purposefully meant to look watery, like it was being distorted via Barry’s perception of time.
I think the CGI for the speed force was made that way because of the time distortion. I actually liked it. It was creepy lol
Yeah that's the excuse the director gave but the thing is, in movies the aesthetic aspect of things should be more of a priority than trying to mimic reality, especially in scenarios where it's something people have never seen before therefore have nothing to compare it to and ends up just looking like bad, poorly made CGI.

For the sake of this movie, they should have done something more familiar with people, which is, cgi that doesn't look like a game cutscene.

All things considered, I did like this movie.. It has many flaws obviously, but it's not the disaster people online made it out to be.
I especially enjoyed the Barry/Barry dynamic.
1st vid of ya'll I've seen. Respect for giving The Flash a chance. So many people last month were like can't afford the movies, it's DC, Ezra, this that and the 3rd when it GENUINELY was a good movie. Times we live in these days. I LOVED this movie! Lol. I saw it in the theaters 2x. Every audience was into. It was funny. It was emotional. The CGI stuff seemed minor. They did it cause no way they were going to pay all those actors. Lmao. The cameos from other universe's was an homage to me not disrespectful like some said. I'm just happy to see people catching on and giving it love.
Best part of this movie was Ezra. He is a fantastic actor. He knocked it out of the park playing 2 different Barry's
The best part of the movie for me was the ending. Barry already accepted that he can't save his mother, but he can save his dad and he did it.

Well he could've saved his mother at the expense of messing up the universe. Then after supposedly learning that lesson that he needs to leave things as they were he goes and does the exact same thing again.
Something really impactful was seeing alternate Barry freak out when our Barry tries to get his powers back. The first time our Barry had to force alt Barry to get his powers and costed himself his own powers. Now is going through danger and incredible pain to get his powers back not knowing if it’ll work. The duality of both is super cool
The parallels used for storytelling in this film were actually super cool! Barry and young Barry, Bruce and Barry, Keaton and Barry, Supergirl and how she’s different to our Superman. Neatly done!
Cameos were awesome in this movie. The CGI was done that way on purpose to tell what was in the blur and what wasn’t. I loved this movie. Saw it three times in the cinema 😎 Ezra Miller was amazing in this movie 🎥

I really liked the movie. I know there’s controversy surrounding Ezra but his acting was good. It really does feel like we watching two different people. I seen it a few times as well.

I grew up with no cgi, only animation and stop motion, so I'm not spoiled by cgi.
Honestly, it makes us happy to read comments that state they enjoyed the film! What matters is that a film entertains, and if people feel it did that, they're so entitled to it! People are allowed to just like what they like!
@OfficialMediaKnights I loved the movie. I think that, what is wrong today. People can't just enjoy a movie anymore. It has to be picked apart. I mean, I thought Clash of the Titans was epic when I was little. By today's standards the effect are horrible, but I still will watch it over and over and not be critical of it.

The movie was ok but their is no denying the visual effects are bad, the surprise villain is underwhelming, and by the end of the film all of it happened for nothing, especially since the outcome is not going to affect the upcoming projects in any way shape or form. This movie is overall carried by the cameos Michael Keaton’s Batman and Michael Shannon’s Zod, which they ended up wasting. Only pluses in my opinion was that we got a few more good scenes of Batfleck in action, and it did genuinely make me laugh at some scenes. Especially the microwaved baby which was honestly concerning and funny to look at with Ezra Miller in frame.

@@dingleberryman1498 giving us George Clooney explains that some things change and others are fixed point in time when Berry changes things in timelines and by giving us Aquaman it explains and confirms that the multiverse exists ( where Aquaman in most timelines is always the same )
amazing, no dull moments, very entertaining, good acting from ezra miller. 8/10. Dont care about some of the cgi scenes like with the babies, cgi seemed bad, but I kinda liked it, it was so over the top unrealistic.

I understand every complaint about this film. Legitimately feels like a film that started production years and years ago. Dammit I still love it. I've seen it 3 times and I still love it.
It's like a live-action cartoon. With a window so small it's the size of my palm, the graphics and special effects still feel like Mortal Kombat Annihilation, but at least it's fun.

i loved the scene where batman was talking to flash about time travel and batman talks about scars and ect... i think Ben was genuinely talking to Ezra about not letting your past define you.
Micheal Keaton was the best part of this whole thing for me & I did love the beginning even with the bad CGI, & the ending was good it all comes full circle you can’t change everything. The animated film is still better tho

Great movie Overall! I have never really jumped on the bandwagon with the amount of money a movie makes or the reviews from critics. I like to make judgement on my own accord. It was a REALLY GOOD MOVIE. So great to see the GOAT Batman (Michael Keaton) as well as Ben Afflecks Batman (who I firmly feel deserved his own Batman movie) Awesome to see all the cameos and the surprise from George Clooney. Sahsa Calle was phenomenal as Supergirl. Along side of her physicality and presence as Supergirl, you can feel her rage. Hope to see her in the future DCU. Cant leave out Ezra Miller. Despite his issues off the screne, he did a really good job as the Flash...Both Flashes. All in all it was a great movie! I dont understand the business aspect of what and why movies are "flops" or not but this is definitely worth watching.

Some of the deep cuts in this movie I really enjoyed, but other people might not have understood the references. Eric Stoltz was originally casted as Marty McFly and even filmed a good portion of the movie before being replaced by Michael J Fox. And then the Nicholas Cage playing Superman is another reference to the long forgotten Tim Burton Superman movie that never got made, including the giant spider that was in the script.
Yup! The guy writing the script was obsessed with having Superman fight a giant spider 😂

I got my OG Superman from the 1950's, the reruns were still playing on TV every afternoon after school in the 60's and 70's here in Australia... I screamed when he came on and scared the kids, they're so soft these days :)
According to Chris Gore of Film Threat, during the test screening the post credit scene of Barry and Aquaman was longer and Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill were in it. I guess the scene was them contacting Barry when him and Aquaman get to Barry’s apartment. Batman says “Barry what have you done? You’re in the wrong universe” and then it cut to black. I’m assuming that part of the post credit scene was cut because Gunn didn’t want the DCEU to continue and to start his own universe.
No wayyy, they should have kept it in!! We already know that this is the end of the DCEU, and the beginning of DCU, so they may as well have just kept it as is! What a shame!
@@OfficialMediaKnights I’m very curious on what the future DCEU would’ve been if Gunn didn’t take over. I know the original ending of The Flash was going to set up a Man of Steel 2, Wonder Woman 3, and The Flash 2. Also Ben Affleck shot some scenes for Aquaman 2 so I guess he was going to return as Batman too until Gunn reset the universe. Ben Affleck is still on the Aquaman 2 cast list on IMDb but I bet Gunn will cut out his scenes in the theatrical release.
Andy said himself that the reason the CGI is the way it is due to it being from Barry’s perspective everything looks blurry when he is running as the flash
I mean…I think it’s great he found a way to justify it so they wouldn’t have to spend too much time on the cgi but if things are purposefully done visually they normally have a sentence or two in the script so that the audience is aware that it is in fact on purpose. I don’t know man…kinda seems like the kind of thing you say to get away with the heat
So I think moving forward that Barry stays in that new reality and learns to accept the changes while we start a new in a different reality leaving behind the current casts and stuff
In case you guys are interested in watching another crazy Flash time travel story, then I can really recommend reacting to the animated DC 'Flashpoint' movie. It's a pretty dark one and I like it. It's way shorter than the 'Flashpoint' comics though.
OK GO's "This Too Shall Pass" is the perfect song choice for the end credits honestly, and I was singing my heart out to it in the theatre, because I was just that excited when I first heard it :D
Despite all the Ezra BAD BEHAVIOR and CRIMES.
This movie is REALLY ENTERTAINING 😁. I really enjoyed this movie, and Ezra played the smart nerdy with a dry sense of humor Barry Allen really well (And he is not exagerated his acting).

Everyone seems to have missed the significance of the creation of the Dark Flash. First appearance we see him push Barry out of the speed force so as to create himself, how is this possible? This means that the audience (we) came in the middle of this story and you would need a second if not a third movie to explain it. When you think about, and it does mess with your head, its quite brilliant. :)
Never had any desire to see this film. But your reaction to it? Now that's a different story.

Despite this bombing and the negative reviews I actually enjoyed it and didn't think it was as bad as a lot of reviewers were saying. When I originally saw the flash/batman suit I was wondering if they were going to do a red death flash version in the movie.

I saw this movie in theaters and had a fun time. I am legitimately flabbergasted that it did so poorly at the box office. Not because it's so bad or because it's so good, but because it's so... okay. There's nothing particularly awful about it (except for the CGI), and I can't really think of anything repellent in the film. Maybe it's because the main star is so problematic, but usually that tends to attract an audience, not turn it away.
That's an excellent point! This movie is definitely not terrible, and manages to be entertaining while still tugging at the heartstrings. Even WB expected it to do significantly better than it did at the box office!

I love how Barry is his own bad guy. It makes it a character-centric storyline rather than a plot-centric story line (the difference is that the protagonist causes the main problem of the story, and it isn't caused by an antagonist or an unstoppable force. Woody's problem in Toy Story comes from his jealosy and pushing Buzz out the window; it accentuates the need for a character change in order to solve the problem, not just defeating the bad guy).
I love the metaphor with the sauce and the spaghetti. I love the character arc he undergoes. I love how they take the comic relief character from the Justic League and avoid the issue of making the main character the comic relief by splitting him in two and giving Barry a younger Barry. OG Barry undergoes the character arc, young Barry is the funny one. Very smart (movies where the comic relief become the main charcter can lead to something like Cars 2).
I love how because the problem is caused by Barry and is solved by Barry, we not only realize that the problem can't and shouldn't be solved by defeating a bad guy, but they smartly don't introduce a new villain that would otherwise deimphasize the point. If we got a new bad guy, he'd be the focus. So using Zodd is genius because we already know him, and plotwise it helps deliver higher stakes that demonstrate that changing the past led to a worse timeline without Superman or the rest of the Justice League.
But there are some dumb things. The whole beginning is about him needing energy from food, but the rest of the movie doesn't reference it once. And if you do need food, the lady doesn't have to throw you the candy, your power is super speed, just run over and grab it. And after she throws it, pick it up and super speed eat it while running.
The whole food thing was probably adder afterward because the original beginning wasn't funny, and whoever wrote it wasn't thinking.
It was also disappointing that the two Batmans didn't share screen time. Sure, it makes perfect sense how it was done, but the trailer made it look like there was more timeline-hopping madness.
Over all, 4 out of 5. At the very least, it is more rewatchable than half the DCEU movies.
Really enjoyed The Flash. Could the CGI have been better? Yeah for sure but still, I don't get why this movie got so much hatred.
It had a lot of things against it. A lot of people just couldn't let go of Snyder's vision. And after the Snyder cut who could blame them. Aside from that all the trouble with Ezra and once the film released all the talk about the cgi ended up killing this movie before it had a chance to succeed. We will see how Blue Beetle does in the box office but I think they might have issues in the box office until we officially start our next big storyline. This is what happens when the audience loses trust completely. The people who know it's getting rebooted anyway and soon rather not watch a movie that'll just be a standalone in a way and the people who don't know what is going on are just confused.
Tbh the only thing i thought during the scene with a bunch of cameos was "Wait Supergirl is canon now? Damn it."😂😂😂😂
Fun Fact, Eric Stolz WAS going to play Marty McFly. He was replace because he was a more epic tragedy McFly. The director wanted the more comedic McFly.

I'll be honest, I only watched it for Michael Keatons batman. I was 9 when he took the mantel. He was and will always be batman to me.
I wish people would go to the movies to support these movies. It was a great movie.
We're pretty certain Ezra Miller was a huge factor as to why this bombed. Even if you're not a fan of The Flash Michael Keaton's Batman has a gigantic audience willing to go see him.

This movie was great despite some bad CGI moments. But guys you should go to Theaters and watch it there. This movies are made for the big screen. No wonder they fail at the box office

The Jay Garrick we see is NOT played by the actor from The Flash TV series.. he is 100% AI created.
The bad CGI when Barry is in the "Chrono-bowl" (which I think is a MUCH better idea than the Cosmic Treadmill from the comics) is deliberate. Barry isn't seeing the past "as it happens" he's seeing echoes of the past... when he sticks his face into the echo of where he wants to be, everything becomes normal because he's stepping out of the speed force and back into "reality". They can't explain away the "baby shower" cgi.. *I* could do better that that shit!
When flash runs he is running so fast that with every stride he is running 50 miles and that's why he looks like he is skating
This movie has alot of callbacks and references and I love it! One of which being when barry phases through the wall behind the poster that Dufraine (bet I butchered that name) used to hide his escape tunnel in Shawshank. ❤

Seeing Michael Keaton as Batman again is something we'd never thought we would see again. He was awesome!
I love the movie felt little rushed but some people definitely behave like it's a bad movie

Why is everyone this shocked whenever they see Flash picking his head on the baby sequence? “He can rewind time?” He did that in the BatmanVSuperman too, when he appears in the batcave. I had fun with the movie regardless of all the bad CGI.

If you guys didnt know, the one who actually killed Nora is actually a villain Barry will have in the future called Reverse-Flash. He basically uses time travel and goes back and murders Nora to get at Barry.

In the comics, there are many things Barry Allen and Bruce Wayne have in common. Batman is The World's Greatest Detective.. Barry Allen is arguably a very close second. They have a few personality traits that are similar.
Batman has even said that Barry Allen is the type of man he would have wanted to become if his parents were never killed.
Their relationship in the comics is great! The ending of Flashpoint and The Flash bringing a little something for Batman was wholesome as hell!

Barry allen is the type of person he would've become if his parents didn't die and he sees dick grayson as the better version of batman. Both of them are my favs and I really hope they're given importance in the dcu.

first reactors on youtube glad its people who can enjoy a movie lol. i really loved this movie idc about the cgi not being ultra realistic. just wish Grant made an apperence the movie would have done much better probably purely because people wanted that.
Great reaction guys . I watch it 2 x on imax , great enjoyable film , cgi really dont bother me , cameos are great , only wished grant flash appears in the chronobowl scene , this time Grant is confused where he , that be cool.
the reporter at the end asking a question after the court scene is the same body double throughout the whole movie..
I saw the ending as Barry looking at camera thinking: "I wish I could do something..." - and as he goes back to the future everything changes 'cause of fact that he stopped his mom for a minute. Also his 9 year old self may have seen him.
Barry even swears to Bruce that he put everything back. You can't lie to Batman χD
