Whenever I hear Tom talking about his sobriety, I remember the interview he did during the pandemic, maybe...6 months before he started his sobriety journey? He was doing the interview via zoom at home, and he literally left screen to grab and open a beer mid-interview saying 'it's 5 o clock somewhere', and you can literally see this expression on his face, this awkward thought of not knowing how to not have it? I always think of that, and I'm glad he finally found recognition of that behavior. Super admirable and humbling to hear his voice and journey

If you watch his body language, Tom was still guarded as the conversation began (arms crossed, hands constantly soothing himself with touch). By the 20 minute mark he is leaning in and opening his arms wide and truly allowing himself to just tell it like it is and not mince words or protect himself with his words. Great interview!
Oh man. I was an alcoholic for a decade, now 3 years sober, and when Rich expressed the same fear that was going through my head in regards to tasting a beer again, I can't even explain the reaction, like a comfort in knowing I'm not alone, but deeper in so many ways. Thank you, Rich. I appreciate your openness and honesty. I hope it helps many.

Tom is really a person i go to watch interviews, when i have a relapse with alcohol. I had one these couple months because of my regular existential crises, as i am from country fighting not to be genocided and am a refugee alone in foreign country, i came to a moment that depression, burnout and uncertainty in whether my nation will be alive next year caused me to have those days where i just need to forget and I relapsed Now i am back on track, but i need such people like Tom to remind myself what is important
I’ve never watched a single movie with Tom Holland. Not yet. But i have watched several mini interviews and two podcasts. As an English learner I find his speech not only interesting but also understandable.

What an inspiring conversation, it felt natural as if sitting there in a living room. Tom is so mature and thoughtful, super cool to hear about her life and transformation into this young man. Her journey of sobriety has developed more interesting facets of his personality, one we can all admire. Thank you for this 💕
I am 41, been sober for the last two years, and it has been invigorating journey. Sobriety is powerful n totally agree with Tom you need to have a good support system if you have a serious alcohol addiction.
The “more confident when acting” quip is so true. I’ve only did a little bit of acting in my early 20s, but that’s exactly why I did it. It gave me the chance to explore characters who were confident. It was a break from my nervous self.
I like that more actors are on podcasts because they are more real with everything they feel comfortable talking about. That's why I love Inside of you because the actors on there feel more comfortable compared to a live audience watching you and clapping and all that. It is less superficial.
I’m laughing about Londoners not speaking to people on the street. I’m from Sydney and when I got married and moved to San Fran, I went out for a walk one morning. At least 5 people said “hello”! I had no idea what to do, so I kind of nodded and smiled. I came home and I said to my husband “the weirdest thing happened. All these strangers said ‘hello’ to me.” He’s American and he thought my reaction was hilarious.
This is how you mature in Hollywood. Taking time to reflect instead of going on a downwards spiral and making controversy just to say, "Hey, im6a grownup now i can twerk, etc etc"
If I were his parent, I would be extremely proud of what a fine and grounded adult he has become in a business that makes it hard. Well done, young man. You’re setting up yourself up for a continued healthy and successful future.
Watching this as I drink a beer. But being sober for a few months felt amazing but does get a bit difficult sometimes because it has become such a norm in our society. Much respect to Tom glad to see he is doing better mentally I know Hollywood is a scary place when you're deep in it.
49;00 nothing makes me more happy than seeing your creation come to life. 58:00 same, starting with a month, then taking it to longer time, proving to myself and forever changing my lifestyle for the better and enjoying the benefits which are much more worth it than few mins of bad habits, helps enjoy life which is looooong time much better. 1:04:00 maturity

Wow!!! Cannot tell you how excited I am to watch this, as a marvel fan and big fan of Tom Holland himself, always found his acting so sincere, lovely to get to hear a conversation between the two of you!!
That was a fascinating conversation. Tom's journey is to be admired, and shows that talent and creativity goes beyond the stage or screen. But learning to take care of yourself, and finding balance.
On a similar track. I'm in my 30's and alcohol just doesn't hit the way that it used to. It makes me tired more than anything else. I feel a lot more grounded sober and like myself more ❤ Also, my intuition has really become more heightened.
Yes agree ! Feeling the same thing makes me tired and a sore head after only a few. Really enjoying going to parties sober and actually interacting with people then going at a reasonable hour !
I’m 25 and having a nonalcoholic wedding (even though my spouse will be drinking). When she asked if i would have just one drink with her i said “i want to take in the wedding for everything that it is, i don’t want to be blind to any of it”. Not an alcoholic, just realized how terrible it is for you.
I’ve never told her but i get easy memory loss when I drink, sometimes I’m fine but I can be like one drink away from a black out sometimes. I don’t even remember my first kiss with my girlfriend on our first date. That’s like one of the best things you can experience in life and I can’t remember because I was chasing a different feeling that’s not even worth it
I wish Tom all the Best - best of luck with his off screen life . I admire his conviction and that he is putting his creativity and his fame into something ( beero) that can help people .
What an awesome conversation. Tom is such a genuine, charming man who is also so wise and talented. Well done to the host, Rich. I’m going to have to listen to more episodes now ☺️
Thank goodness Tom lives in London and not Hollywood. Though he does stay with Z when he's in the USA. Plus his parents are a steadying influence as well.
I absolutely adore Tom Holland. He has helped me a lot through my own struggle with alcohol just by being authentic and speaking about his own struggle. No shame, all grace and perseverance. Such a well rounded young man.
as soon as they cracked open the brewskis and they just started vibing different! I totally get that, and it put a smile on my face. It doesn't have to be alcohol, its the social aspect.
Aside from all the humanity in this interview, after the MCU films, and indeed the Uncharted film. I really thought I'd never be able to see Tom Holland as a mature CHARACTER in a film. Seeing him more grown, both mentally and physically, I would love to see him take on more mature roles. Both when it comes to the obvious spider-man ocnnection, i.e: a more grown up spiderman, dealing with grown up and mature issues, not just teenage boy issues. But also in wider roles, showing deeper and more realistically deep, mature roles. I have so much confidence in his longevity now that he's grown up. He doesn't look like a boy anymore, he looks like a real young man.

So much to like about this dude. Genuine guy.
What a quality bloke - comes across incredibly grounded :)
I guarantee this interview is going to help people struggling with alcohol addiction. I appreciate Tom sharing this story.

I loved listening to this chat. Tom was spot on about London. People don't make eye contact or talk to one another.
It's just the same in big cities. It's the same in New York.
Not true
Tom is one amazing human being.... and so is Rich... I am so thankful and greatful for this episode. Thank you.
The idea of just living with best friends is so unheard of from where i live. I wish to have that life
He really is a wise and grounded person! It’s fantastic that his Marvel fame allows him be a role model for so many young people
Get in there Tom. I met your dad back in 2016, he was so proud of you. I can see why 👍
i can’t tell you how proud I am of this man, he’s truly so genuine and so deserving
I could listen to this MAN speaking all day.
This is how you mature in Hollywood. Taking time to reflect instead of going on a downwards spiral and making controversy just to say, "Hey, im6a grownup now i can twerk, etc etc"
Thank you for such an amazing, growth-inspiring podcast! I already feel happier and healthier seeing and listening to you both. I am grateful!
If I were his parent, I would be extremely proud of what a fine and grounded adult he has become in a business that makes it hard.
Well done, young man. You’re setting up yourself up for a continued healthy and successful future.
One of my favourite actors and I absolutely love his portrayal of Spiderman, he nailed the role in my opinion.
Watching this as I drink a beer. But being sober for a few months felt amazing but does get a bit difficult sometimes because it has become such a norm in our society. Much respect to Tom glad to see he is doing better mentally I know Hollywood is a scary place when you're deep in it.
I love Tom Holland, he seems like such a good, down-to-earth guy.
It wasn’t lost on me that Downey trusted Tom with confidential information.
One of the best people who are famous. Not BECAUSE he is famous. Someone I think we all would love to be mates with and would feel enriched after spending time him. 10/10
Wow!!! Cannot tell you how excited I am to watch this, as a marvel fan and big fan of Tom Holland himself, always found his acting so sincere, lovely to get to hear a conversation between the two of you!!
What a beautiful chat! It really changed my perspective on a lot of things. I’d love to see more guests like Tom Holland!
We have to protect this man at all costs. He's just such a likeable guy!
What a wonderful young man! I liked him as an actor and now I like him even more. He’s a wonderful example for people of all ages.
Tom seems like such a genuine and grounded guy.
What an amazing guy. Grounded, kind, loving, authentic, wise, self aware
and talented!
What a great mind Tom has! I love how he thinks
That was a fascinating conversation. Tom's journey is to be admired, and shows that talent and creativity goes beyond the stage or screen. But learning to take care of yourself, and finding balance.
he's a piece of sunshine
On a similar track. I'm in my 30's and alcohol just doesn't hit the way that it used to. It makes me tired more than anything else. I feel a lot more grounded sober and like myself more ❤ Also, my intuition has really become more heightened.
Yes agree ! Feeling the same thing makes me tired and a sore head after only a few. Really enjoying going to parties sober and actually interacting with people then going at a reasonable hour !
Absolutely excellent interview with a solid young man. As a sober person I love how he has conquered alcohol & moved forward with his life.
That's beautiful. To remember a beautiful day instead of getting wasted should be the way to go.
I’ve never told her but i get easy memory loss when I drink, sometimes I’m fine but I can be like one drink away from a black out sometimes. I don’t even remember my first kiss with my girlfriend on our first date. That’s like one of the best things you can experience in life and I can’t remember because I was chasing a different feeling that’s not even worth it
What a beautiful conversation, 2 beautiful souls.
I wish Tom all the Best - best of luck with his off screen life . I admire his conviction and that he is putting his creativity and his fame into something ( beero) that can help people .
As a person who is interested in Tom's life, I love that he's doing podcasts now.
Rich....you are a gem of a person. Beautiful soul. Tom....you're cool too man. I didn't know you were this down to earth. Gives me hope for the future
I'm currently on the journey of not vibing with alcohol anymore. For me, not drinking is one of the steps to the next level
A journey begins with one step !.
Tom has SUCH wisdom.
Respect for Tom using his fame to help his brother and friends with their goals. Seems like he has a smart group of people around him.
What an awesome conversation. Tom is such a genuine, charming man who is also so wise and talented. Well done to the host, Rich. I’m going to have to listen to more episodes now ☺️
Amazing to see someone like him do so well amongst the pitfalls of being in his industry
Hollywood needs more people like Tom, he’s a real role model
Thank goodness Tom lives in London and not Hollywood. Though he does stay with Z when he's in the USA. Plus his parents are a steadying influence as well.
I absolutely adore Tom Holland. He has helped me a lot through my own struggle with alcohol just by being authentic and speaking about his own struggle. No shame, all grace and perseverance. Such a well rounded young man.
as soon as they cracked open the brewskis and they just started vibing different! I totally get that, and it put a smile on my face. It doesn't have to be alcohol, its the social aspect.
He is one of the kindest humans. God bless him.
I love Tom Holland. He is so down to earth.
Mad mature for his age, a product of good parenting
