The best part of the model F isn't its sound, although the sound is intriguing. It's in the construction and feel, both unsurpassed. Definitely worth the price btw.

I personally really like all of them, even the Cherry MX Blue. I don't know why so many people hate on that switch type as I think the sound is actually quite nice.

They're scratchy, they lack tactility, and they sound plasticky and dead, is my reasoning.

I'm trying to find a good sound comparison between M and F77 - I have Model M and want to order F77. On this video it sounds like M is nice and subtle, then F77 is noisy like typing in a can.
Is F88 better in feel/sound than M, like people say?

Hi, sorry for late reply. The difference between Model M and Model F is that the M has rubber membrane and it's essentially plastic hitting rubber if you will, which leads to a softer sound, whereas the Model F is basically flippers hitting metal. So it's a much more metallic ringing sound. It's noticeably noisier and more like a "machine gun" sort of sound.
Personally I like the feel of Model F better than Model M. Model F has a more "sharper" feel, it's more mechanical whereas Model M feels quite a bit squishier. I also prefer the metallic sound of Model F.
At 5:38 of the video there is a direct comparison between the sounds. As you can tell by the video the Model M is more muted and less metallic than Model F.
Yes F77 does sound like typing in a can (because it's literally encased in a metal box) but a lot of people do like that aspect. It's all what you prefer.

They're not as far appart as you'd think. The model f is just higher pitched and way pingier which is its signature sound and more in your face than the more subtle ping paired with a thocc of the M

Just by looking at what keyboards you're putting up against blues.... yes. Yes they do. Inherently.
