Testing for the people, without predudice. Great 'to the point' testing. My GD will, in time I hope, be pleased that her old Pappy decided to give her a Double Score for Chrimbo. Cheers Mike👍
@@IffySignals I’m doing the exact same set up as you with my Legend, but I can’t get mine to hit even with the 6” coil. I guess I should say it doesn’t hit as well. My nails are old hand forged colonial nails. A little bigger than yours tho. Would that make that much of a difference? I adjust the IF ST & RS. Just like you do & start low & raise until it won’t hit anymore. I’ve been hunting with it for well over 2 years. Am I missing something? It does well in my test garden. My test garden is about 3 years old so I feel it’s had some time to stabilize & has probably dropped a 1/8” by now. Any thoughts?
Love this video but I have to ask, I don’t know much about the Iron Filter, why would you want it so high to cancel out objects next to the iron? If you have a video explaining this already, can you please point me to it.
Hi, you definitely want to run it as low as possible, you also want some to avoid nails that pop and false, on some machines will also help with large iron.
I bought a double score to test and the volume is not very loud even at highest setting. Is this common or do i have faulty machine. It is not even half as loud as my legend.
No one seems to get a simple thing with the Legend. It's all about balance. If you find the right balance with settings it works great. It's when you take extreme setting changes up or down are when things go to hell in a hand basket. Sensitivity is another one of those things. You don't gain anything but instability, falses, and dirty noise when you take the sensitivity up too high. How can you expect find anything when the machine is chattering away with every swing. That is a good way to lose confidence in a machine fast because of improper settings. I've learned this detector likes happy mediums when it comes to settings. Test it, take small increments in setting. Like Iron Filter, don't go from 1 to 7. Take it one digit at a time like he is showing here. You WILL find that sweet spot for your conditions if you just be patient. M2 for me hits harder than M1 or M3 also. Happy Hunting!
Another great test. But I didn't realize the double score didn't have an iron volume. Were you in all metal mode and I assume that you can turn the iron off if you choose? What other $400 detector could pass that test? None that I know of.
Not having the ability to adjust the iron volume is a pretty big deal. I’m sure they will fix that in updates. Also it’s about $500 not $400. The score is around $449 I believe.
Hello Mike, I think you are honest, I have already used more than one device, but not branded ones, I am very hesitant to take heavy soil, and the river is on my side, I want a stable device that detects targets well and multi-frequency up to $550
Thanks Bob! Good time for Multi in that price range. Machines i would recommend Vanquish 540 (Control head is not waterproof) Nokta Legend, Nokta Double Score. Might want to also check online for an ML Equinox 600 they have been selling cheap now that the 700/900 are out.
Definitely true for depth but with separation this is best case scenario. If its not going to do it here its not going to in the ground where the conditions are worse.
Great demonstration Mike,
Very similar to my machine with the iron bais, almost identical
Thx Jim
Nokta has finally made a detector (Double Score) that doesn't hurt my ears - Awesome.
I wasn’t a fan of the simplex tones either. These are much better and align with the Legend.
very nice one that double score is killing it.
Thanks

Great video. Definitely considering the Double. Thank you! 😊

This is what I’ve been waiting for. Haven’t watched it yet.

Hey Kody, any difference in nails or spacing can make a difference. Send me an email and i will send you close up pictures.
Thanks for that demonstration, thanks for your time and vid.

Love my Double Score, always finds something on my beat out parks
It unmasks very well
im thinking of getting into and trying metal detecting which one would be the best the legend or the double score
Triple Score. Great bundle deal right now. 2 coils and headphones for $479

Humm. Mine is plenty loud.

Que frecuencia usa en la multi?
I tried all three and singles. For iron tests Multi 2 is a good way to go.

One of the best posts I’ve read in a long time! 👍
Good vid…have both machines and your vids certainly help.
Thanks for the feedback 👍
Nice video Iffy.
Thanks for sharing.
Welcome TN 👍
Great video Mike. How do they compare weight wise please?
Its a light machine. Nicely balanced. The small DD23 is the way that i would roll. Nice size coil.
Good morning sir.Very nice video. Can you please tell me,
which is better for large objects in great depth?
Hi, the Legend. It has the settings to slow down recovery allot for depth.
I can get great depth with the DS on high recovery speed, might separate better than my legend
Which one is better?
Legend is better, Double Score is a simplified Legend but you can many more options/features with the Legend.
Zdravim
Chcem kúpiť detektor. Stačí Score 2, alebo radšej Legend ? Ďakujem.
Look at the Triple Score or Minelab Elite. Both have packages that come with headphones and 2 coils.
Iffy , how do they perform on the same targets in single frequency ?
Hey Lewis, the DS only offers 15khz. In 15khz they perform similar with the Legend having more adjustments in recovery speed.
@@IffySignals Nokta's site states both Score and DS have Multi, in addition to 15khz
@@ihikebc2295 correct. 👍
@@IffySignals Would you say DS is easier to operate for beginners than Legend, and that the detection abilities are not much different?
Yes its easier, but you get allot more room for growth with the Legend.
Great video Mike!!!
Thanks Bill
Great demo
Thx Pelon!
Awesome video Mike thank you.
Thanks Jimmy

Yes for a depth test.
Thank you very much

Thanks, I think I will get the double Score.
Welcome
Mike they seem to be doing better that the Nox 800!
Doing really good Jerry!
Ok... Try the M3 or the beach... You will have nice surprises!
M2 hits better on these tests for me. M3 is good and M1 the worst.
Показательный тест Майк 🤗🔥👍👍🤝🤝🤝
Thank you
Great info thanks!!!!!

Double score sounds better
Like louder and clear
Thanks.. you can make the Legend volume sound anyway you would like per tone bin.. These are just factory presets.
Score is multifrecvetial vlf, legend online 15kh

These tests show nothing when it's in the ground It's a different ball game different fields different situations
