Liam, Yes, the dt does help bring out iron masked targets. Because the Legend is already so good at same plane/2D unmasking you don't really see the improvement from dt until you elevate the nail to a 3D test. dt 3 seems to be a sweet spot, but there is no disadvantage to use even dt6, other than some audio distortion. If a user has mineralized ground, the dt feature is also especially helpful in bringing targets masked by the Ground up to a good audio report. It doesn't seem to help on TID, only on the Audio tone ID. I have done a couple of videos on this. Overall dt is a significant improvement for the Legend.
be/Beast mode also works well in cleaner ground but not in Iron trash. I will be using the dt on a regular basis.
Yes I do like the setting sure to give that edge in the field , I will never use beast mode , I like all the features in the standard modes to much . Good fortune 🧑🦯

I can’t help but think this news of the new beast mode was first talked about to me what seems like ages ago. I tend to think it was a marketing ploy to entice more people to the legend. I appreciate all updates do come with Niggles. But we have all overcome the hurdle either stayed on a lower update or updated. But I feel this new beast mode and DT has become a bit of a spiked turd and no amount of polishing is going to remedy the update. Like you said earlier I think Nokta have over engineered this. I have tried DT and beast but don’t feel confident in the signal and have to flick between old trusty profiles to confirm targets. Also not sure if this is a general problem but the pinpointing on target b4 hole digging isn’t as accurate as it used to be. I’m finding I digging wide holes. Anyway I’m will do some more tests in my garden, dirt box, air tests and field. But brilliant videos mate your are the testing legend😝👍🏻

Arrowheads and spears are mostly made of iron and personally I like to chase everything, I usually don't go to trashy area so I liked beast mode, but I'm interested in the penetration, more precisely the depth of beast mode itself compared to version 1.13, because I primarily chase others antiques and coins?
I always use goldfield in custom due to the noise from all metal.. I'd personally use beast mode in custom if it was recommended but otherwise far too noisy for detecting for long periods on most farm land. Lou xx

@@HistoryRevisiteduk I am pretty new to the Legend but had it pretty much in tune with my finds less junk every time am out now until the update, think it has put a lot out of whack even in the normal modes, what have you found the most stable and workable firmware to be so far?

I tried this today Liam...... Truth is I just can't get on with this update... Being honest when I use my D2 I can pretty much predict what I'm about to dig 80-90% of time ... With new legend update I literally have zero confidence in what it is. Today it was giving decent 360 Vdi tones and I was digging big iron deep .... So maybe it's back to 1.11
I too have went back with 1.11 from 1.15 and 1.13
To me the 1.15 made the Legend not as stable/predictable also. In addition to that the tones seemed weaker and more dodgy in 1.15
Although some may like this 1.15 update to me it makes the Legend less useful and flat out erratic at times.Maybe there are different variables in play that are unique to certain Legends vs others. I primarily use the LG24 coil.
@@RobNC-OG totally agree... All in all I think the Legend has been pushed and over engineered rather like putting a twin turbo and nitro on a Toyota Aygo

Is it ready for the less experienced?
Yes all settings are there for when you feel comfortable to use them. Don’t have to use them but will give you that edge when applied correctly, if not applied correctly then could have the adverse effect . Good luck 🧑🦯

@@HistoryRevisitedukthanks for going thru this setting. It's hard for us Americans to understand the British accent. Your 100% correct, just use the subtitles. I just got the version 1.15 from a 1.11? Anyways, trying to set it up a little bit.
