- This wasn't a job I wanted to do at all, but it's a good mates van, and the 2nd side was a lot easier so I suppose you need to start somewhere! Why they are designed the same as a sprinter we will never know....
Thanks for watching.
Take care. Авто/Мото
Thank you very much for this video, and as you were closing, you said "I hope this helps" Yes, it does. I was about to embark on this job, and you have definitely helped....... change my mind and take it to a garage! 😂
Thanks for the video. It made it clear what to get ready tool and part wise. I did it and wasnt that bad a job once I got started.
Really glad I could help mate. Not sure I could find a video when I had to do the job. Take care.
Thanks for doing this, really gave me a good idea of what I need to do the job 👌
those screws on the front are tight with pozydrive screwdriver .... supposedly to hold higher torque than phillips headscrewdriver without damaging but by saying that nothing is easy at Ford engeneering.... like the bolt used to hold the brake 65mm with a massive torque... everything geared to charge the poor coustmer! Anyway you doing a very good job ...the first I have done was like an adventure for me !!! thanks for the video. Other way is to buy all the parts already assembled so there is not much of the hardyak involved . thanks for your video cheers
I'm now wondering if I want to undergo this ordeal... your video definitely helped 🙏🏽
Top video sir think I’ll be bring the iPad out to the road for this job garage said £400 +vat+ parts 👍👍👍
Holy socket woah!
Great video, such a pig to do, ford need to get there shit together
Thank you glad it helped. Doing the front discs is as stupider design. Your right they do!
Thank for video done front and back fun eh top tip worked for me to remove abs ring me and mate two garden pick axes under aposing side and a bit of heat blow torch sorted just a bad back its a pain job from bend in down for so long
Great vid. Excellent work
Thanks so much !!!
Really glad it helped! Thanks for watching.
Merry Xmas and Happy mechanicing New Year to you and your family 🥳🥳🎉🎉🔧🔧☃☃🍻🍻
Just had a first year mechanic do this for me no heat used or press and had it done in about 5 minutes
Thanks for such a detailed video. Ill do this soon. I need to replace a bearing on the left hand side, do I need a puller for the inner bearing or do they both just slide out easily? Regards!
lol @ 1:22 i sniggered before have a good laugh, honestly needed that after being beaten by a stubborn bolt today,
o/s rear caliper carrier bolt (upper) seized on solid on fwd 2.2 it wants to round off....
need it for work tomorrow at 17.00pm gunna try using a bottle jack to solid bar and apply heat...
Did you manage? got mine to do at the weekend and need to shift the bearing and don't have a 20-ton hydraulic press. The video appears to show the bearing came out about at the 1-ton pressure mark and pops out at 22:24
@@gazsto yeah It was an pain, i did have to apply quite a bit of heat, if your callipers look like their shot it's worth just replacing them too, I had to do it all twice...
@@gazsto AHH I misread, okay before you start go buy the strongest (tx50) deep reach impact bits you can find, they are thread locked, you need heat and an impact driver. Halfords pro line set of torx worked when all others failed... the black ones in the glass case. Deep reach...
Also go to tyre fitters and have them use their impact gun on the 36mm hub nuts loosen off and re hand tighten, drive home slow and safe, else you will have a bad few days
@@labrat3687 Thanks mate, very helpful. I know they can be a pain, as most things are on the Transit it seems. Going to inspect it thoroughly and then go from there and expecting it to not be easy. Will pop to Halfords and get those tx50 you mentioned.
@@gazsto no worries mate glad I can help, yeah I'm selling mine, they just rust too fast man, have fun 😂
Hi!! Thanks for you video!! What size is the socket wrench? 65mm?
Are the rear bearings pressed in
The engineers have made this extremely difficult to change the rotor.
Did you not have to top up the diff oil after this?
Does anyone know what size the wedge he used was??
You didn't put the torque settings up ?
You should tidy up a bit !
Jesus fucking christ, there's nothing easy on those bloody vans.
Wow big thanks for this video! I can see the pain in the ass I have to do soon 🥲.
Is it possible to do it without a press? ( I guess yes but hell)
And I guess the diff need to be refill?
