    Ouch! It’s sure a balancing act to what it’s worth to repair or replace the parts. As things gets older and fewer parts is around the demand for repair gets more important. Sometime even these engines will become vintage. So replace today and save the junk that can become gold for someone else in the future. 😉

    Good call! If it were any one of those things, then it would be worth repair But 2 or more in different sections of the motor it's full replacement time

      you got it. now in another 30 years that can all change. just look at the 47 knuckle motor i am finishing. at some point the dollars make since.

      @@TatroMachine Like you said you can swap different year parts to keep that one going. But the cost over the cost of a new replacement motor for a rider not a restoration is not worth it A restoration on the other hand cost is no object

    I have a 92 softail springer with the exact same crack lol. Now I dont think I will attempt to weld it.

    I got ridd of my harlys they are junk...the piss por engineers fucked up. They were cool in the day...but costs way more that they are worth in my feelings. ❤❤❤❤

    Rider's senses failed him. Sound and feel would've prewarned. Maintenance would've saved thousands of debt notes.
    But hey! It kept starting and getting to the destination... until it didn't.

    Time for a 120 in Taiwan Teddy motor but save the old motor and rebuild .
