Just managed to find a moment of peace and enjoy your reaction 😊 Much appreciated that you continue learning more about Dimash and diving deeper into his personality, which is so multifaceted and far from shallow. His voice, his talent and his art are the main attraction, yet many of his fans (including me) are people who have never been - and would never normally become - fans of anyone (I don't mean as 'listeners', but in the sense of 'active supporters'), had it not been for his personality and his career choices.

I work with kids too, I can say that is exhausting, also that I love it and that they make me a better person, I've learned a lot with them (most important thing, as is said in Doctor Who: there's no point being grown-up if you can't be childish sometimes!).
Yes, it can be exhausting - but well worth it. Remembering the child in us can be very helpful. 🙂

Over 30 years ago, Kazakhstan was part of the USSR.
They lived more or less under Russian rule since the mid-18th century and then became part of the Soviet Union in 1936. That's why almost all Kazakhs still speak Russian fluently today. During this time, as far as I know, the Kazakh language as well as the Kazakh tradition was officially banned, so that today many Kazakhs have to learn their native language again.
Kazakhstan has always been troubled. During the First World War many Kazakhs were forced to fight for Russia. From 1928 to 1933, 1.3 to 1.5 million (that was more than 30 percent of the population at the time) Kazakhs died in a famine catastrophe that had several causes such as forced expropriations and mass deportations. At the end of the Cold War, Kazakhstan finally became independent on December 16, 1991. I hope from the bottom of my heart that this will continue to be the case in the near future💕

@@rjjsreactions-rk7zh I think I saw it (I'll check it out just in case), just wanted to point that this is what the song was about, ai think the lyrics were found on the body of one of the young soldiers, so sad...and we havent learnt a thing since WWI...
Dimash is not naïve. Its much easier to make war than to embrace peace. In the former one can immerse oneself in self-righteousness indignation, justifying the damage to property and loss of lives. It’s much easier to see the enemy and write her off, basking in one’s own superiority. Dimash is not doing the easy thing. Unlike many people, he does not take refuge in his superiority and accomplishments. Thinking, without deep analysis, that oneself has the deeper and correct understanding is cowardly. Consider Jesus Christ, the Dalai Lama, Desmond Tutu. Looking down on Dimash does not, in my view, elevate one in the quest for truth. Finding the truth of one’s own life is hard, painful and often humiliating. It is more fun to diminish Dimash. I believe we make war because we dare not look at ourselves objectively. Saying the situation is too complex lets us off the hook, free to enjoy our own considerable achievements.
Who is looking down on Dimash? Not I. I am pleased that he is thinking and has opinions that deserve to be heard. he is an amazing performer and he knows his craft. He is not always correct (and why would he be in this area) - no one is. The analogy with children does not really work logically, although it is appealing. (I work with children all the time - they are not always peaceful left to their own devices.) I, too, would love to have peace in the world; however, just saying it won't make it happen. Saying the situation is complex does not let us off the hook. Saying it is simple does appear to let you off the hook (but of course, it doesn't when they invade your space and take what you have worked hard for- will you simply let them?) It is not cowardly to think, although I agree that it is arrogant to think that you have all the answers in their entirety. As I said, it is more complex than that. Deep analysis is complex. I don't presume to have the answers. I wish I did - or that somebody did, but that will be a long time coming, if ever. I truly hope that we can move forward in a more peaceful manner. It doesn't look too promising at the moment, but I still have hope. That, in itself, could be considered fairly naive - but there you go. Have an amazing, and peaceful, day! 🙂
