Dimash has his degree in Opera, a Master's in Composition and working on his doctoral thesis in Musicology - he is the most educated singer on the planet, the most humble and then there's that voice - you can soon call him 'Professor' - His speech was given just prior to his performance of WAR AND PEACE which he wrote at the age of 22 - he said it at his concerts in the Arab Emirates, Dusseldorf, Kiev and Prague - his love for his Mom is evident after his performance at Slavanski Bazaar of LOVE IS LIKE A DREAM - he's stranded on stage with the flowers so wait, wait, wait - Denis Ten, the figure skater featured at the beginning of this video, was best friends with Dimash - he was murdered several years ago and Dimash payed tribute to him and his parents at his concert in London - so emotional~ Dimash's love for children and they for him is legendary - several years ago, in Turkey, at an outdoor celebration of Igor Krutoy's birthday, he was talking to a child about 4 maybe five - he said....."when I get around children, I want to get married and have children and when I get away from children, my brain starts to work" -

I can see how much you love Dimash, you want to tell everything about him in one breath 😄 But let me correct you a little. Dimash does not have a degree in opera, but in jazz and contemporary music (pop). He started singing bel canto (classical music - not opera) with Marat, when he was 15. Dennis Ten's tribute was in Nur Sultan, his Arnau concert in 2019. Maybe you are referring to what happened in London when he sang SOS ? It was a very emotional moment (I was there) as it had only been a couple of months since Dennis had been murdered 😢

The song you asked about is "War and Peace." Dimash wrote the music, and it's included the album he released in China. The lyrics are in Chinese. You should definitely react to it; you'll love it. I recommend you watch the version on his channel from his Digital Show because it has English subtitles. His Digital Show was amazing, and all the songs are on his channel in their own playlist. It was a concert he filmed live during the COVID shutdown era, therefore there is no audience. Tickets were sold online at a very reasonable price, for charity, and we all watched it as it aired. He also performed the song during his concert in Kiev, which was obviously before the Russian invasion. That performance is amazing too, and sadly so prophetic, but make sure to watch one with English subtitles as someone referred you to below.

John, Dimash has said that he makes the structure of each song and composes certain lines or parts (or as it is called in parlance musical) and then his arranger (Erlan Bechurin) makes the song "exactly" how Dimash wants.

Dimash says he is just a singer. He is an excellent pianist, but he says that he is not a piano man, a great dombra player and he also says that he is not a dombrist. He plays the drums very well but he says he is not a drummer. He has been arranging music since he was a child and says he's not an arranger either. So I could continue more and more. Dimash has complete musical academic training and is about to obtain his PhD. Many great musicians and arrangers from various countries have worked with him, but one thing is certain, in all the arrangements of the songs that Dimash has sung, his hand, his mind, his skills ang his crativity is in it. He is a perfectionist and nothing he sings can fail his taste or not meet his approval.

You are correct. We are shamed while the same things happened all over the world. We need to be proud of our country. I feel like Dimash's family have instilled in him a great pride in his heritage and it is beautiful. Please do Dudarai by Dimash soon. As far as Dimash being stubborn... lol. He said that he writes all the arrangements to his songs, then he gives it to Erlan to do his magic and finish it. We don't have to wonder. That's why he uses people he knows to write for him. Great reaction John. I appreciate that you esteem Dimash not only as an artist but as a humble person. The problem you mention about how most US citizens are not giving enough value to their freedom and the history behind is not only a phenomenon exclusively in the US, there is a huge cultural gap in many nations around the world, in part thanks to the social media rush, which has fabricated a massive commercial opportunity around the globe (that's great), setting aside other important factors to preserve cultures. Hopefully, we wake up in time and don't let it escape through our hands.

When he talked about war and peace in the middle of his concert it was just after thr Russia/Ukraine war broke out. He was devastated as he had Russian and Ukrainian people on his team. They were difficult times for him as passion was running high in everyone around him and team members were falling out. He even had to let his Ukrainian stage manager go because of it. Dimash has not worked in Russia since the invasion and he also had to stop working with Igor, whom he is great friends with. I love these guides too, they're so well done ❤🙏

Yes please! You must see his song "War and Peace"! Dimas composed this very powerful song when he was very young, and the lyrics were written by a Chinese songwriter at Dimas's request.
I asked Marat about his statement about his falsetto. He didn't want to go into the subject too much in this interview. He said that he discouraged Dimash to sing in his falsetto until his vocal technique was well established so that he wouldn't hurt his chords. His technique wasn't sound enough yet when he started with him, so he needed to train in his tenor voice. Crawl before you walk, before you sprint. It's as simple as that. Due to this short clip, many people have misinterpreted what Marat's motivation really was. We shouldn't be so hasty to jump to conclusions and judge people. He is after all the man whom Dimash credits as being the teacher who taught him all he knows about singing

Dimash’s public stance against war has caused issues, to the extent of death threats . The speech that was made during a concert was shortly after the start of the war in Ukraine, a concert in Belarus was cancelled, for obvious reasons, but at the following concerts he gave that speech and performed the song War and Peace, that he composed, the lyrics are in Mandarin, ironically the live concert version found on RUclips is from the Kiev Ukraine concert of 2019, I believe. War and Peace from the Digital Concert is amazing as well. I do love how much insight these videos give people about Dimash because they show so much about the person behind the voice and I think these videos help people understand why the Dears feel so strongly about Dimash ❤. Dimash does not sing in falsetto, he has had voice coaches that help him to sing those high notes in his natural voice. This came from one of the Chinese voice coaches. If you listen to someone singing falsetto and listen to Dimash, you can hear the difference! 😊
There are two definitions of the concept of falsetto . One is the colloquial one, when a man sings in a high, grotesque voice, often unpleasant to the ear. Most people know this term and think that is the only meaning. And everyone thinks that when a voice coach talks about falsetto, that's what that sound means. But there is a MUSICAL DEFINITION in which falsetto is a certain way of singing by women and men, specially learned and related to the positioning of the vocal cords. This is what they teach in music schools and has nothing to do with common understanding. This method is often used to evoke emotions, sometimes it gives the song character and singers use it for interpretation, like all techniques. There is nothing to be offended when a professional uses this term, and when an ordinary person says it, it means that he does not know musical terminology, only colloquial terminology. Yes, Dimash often uses a musical technique called falsetto and it has nothing to do with high, unpleasant sounds as people outside the music industry think
Dimash never lost his high notes like most boys do during puberty! That’s why his notes are considered natural. Whether natural or falsetto, his notes are the most beautiful and seems easily reached. There are people who sing in falsetto that are not awful sounding. They do make pleasant sounds when they sing! 😄
