To the gentleman who dreams of singing like those he mentioned. Be yourself, give music your style and ways of singing, create your own interpretation of music, practice and you will see that there will be people for whom you will become an idol. The most important thing in art is to be yourself.

I agree. It’s no different than someone who is Chinese or Japanese singing in English. I am pretty sure you would not pronounce every English letter and consonant correctly either. Dimash also sings in English and I find his slight accent charming. It’s that uniqueness that adds to the song.

It would be more fair to review the singing rather than language. Japanese is obviously not Dimash's first language, so he is not taking an language exam here, but singing a beautiful cover of the original song.

🤣You guys are a hoot! Very obvious newbies to a world class artist using masterclass vocals and musical arrangement. No, there are no sound engineers changing the dynamics of Dimash's voice. This is all Dimash varying breathy, soft, loud and everything in between as he chooses even in a single phrase. Everything he sings is intentional in vocal design. He is a master of vocal dynamics which adds tremendous variation and interest in every note he sings. Koji Tamaki and Goro Matsuri, composer and writer, praised Dimash's version of their song. Dimash sang this song for the Tokyo Jazz Festival 2021 to honor and celebrate Koji's 30th anniversary in the music industry.
This performance of Ikanaide was recorded in studio (during the Japanese quarantine) for the online concert Tokyo Jazz Festival. Koji adores Dimash as Dimash has been singing the Mandarin version of the song, Autumn Strong, for 7 years and sings it at each of his huge solo concerts around the world. You really need to hear many more songs of Dimash as he sings in Kazakh, Russian, Mandarin, English, etc. etc. (about 15/16 languages so far). Nobody in the world has Dimash's mastery of breath and vocal control and just about every musical style. Grammy winning composers who have worked with him have stated Dimash has the most beautiful voice they have ever heard.
To compare the Mandarin version, Autumn Strong (Late Autumn), watch an exerpt from his Arnau concert in 2020 in Kiev Ukraine: ruclips.net/video/437IEsDIZfE/видео.html (this is on Dimash's RUclips channel).

Thank you for the comment and taking the time to share. He is obviously world-class top-tier and I don't his doubt his ability to control the dynamics whatsoever. When he was introduced to China at first, he was described as a world wonder, and I totally agree. But the engineer did nothing? I'm not sure. How do you know? Did he request so? For me it is very hard to tell as all such official videos are carefully produced to sound the best. Even people's phone recordings may not reveal what his actual dynamics are, as phone's recorders have compressors that even out the dynamics. This is purely to discuss what actually happened. No matter what, it doesn't take away Dimash's credit. But some people seem to take it the other way.
I'm so surprised he performed the Chinese version in Kiev. So much to find out about him.

You can see how he moves a lot getting closer and then back. That is how he controls the "volume"... There are interviews of people who had worked with him saying that they had to do almost nothing on his recording videos because Dimash is so used to sing live in concerts that he does most of the adjustments by himself while singing...

Dimash can sing all genres and 13 plus languages.
IKANAIDE has deep ties between Japan and China around WW2. Please research and find out about Yoshiko Yamaguchi Chinese born Japanese actress in China. This song is about her.

Honestly, different cultures have different ways of keeping things light, and joking with one another.
I know it’s always a good sign that someone can learn from a great vocalist.
I don’t especially like Dimash’s earlier performance of Queens’ songs,
but, I really enjoyed “I Lose Control,” with Chante’ Moore, the English was excellent, the performance was FIRE, and his composition of the mv “When I’ve Got You,”
his English is so good and mysterious, perfect for a vampire themed mv, also “You Raise Me Up,” on stage performing with the children.
    Dimash singing Lionel Ritchie’s song,”Hello,”
    “Stranger,” is an awesome performance,
And so is “Across Endless Dimensions.”
He has some new songs, in English from his latest concert, that I would like to find a better fan cam on, to hear better.
Those are the songs performed in English, that I enjoy, because his pronunciation is well done.
As an American hearing Dimash sing English songs and seeing that he continues to get better in them, is wonderful, to me, because he is always trying and growing and making connections with those of us in the western world.
I enjoy that he is trying to reach other countries.
Why not reach out, and make connections with others, I believe it makes us a lot more culturally rich, and intelligent.

Sorry guys really you paused so much that the essence of the lyrics was lost Goro Matsui in a short interview to the Japanese fan club DJFC was full of praise he said: “I happened to see Dimash singing “ikanaide” by chance, the first thing that surprised me was his crystal clear tone and his expressiveness, which conveys the lyrics of the song. I have heard other Asian singers sing 'Ikanaide' in their native language several times. But even though they all sing great, none of them seemed to fully capture the sound/reverb and meaning of the original lyrics/words, and perceive the emotions between the lines. In this song, the phrase ~ Ah, ikanaide ~ is repeated several times in the chorus. Although they are exactly the same words, each line has a different meaning. I have a feeling that Dimash seems to know-Goro Matsui wrote “Ikanaide” together with Koji Tamaki in 1989, Goro Matsui also mentioned that he would be happy to hear Dimash perform some more songs that he composed together with Koji Tamaki, for example “Anokoro- really boy the name of Dimash’s praying movement at the end of the song which was about saying goodbye was after all what the song was about, greetings from the Netherland

I felt in your reaction that you still have a long way to go to grow musically, nothing that you can't achieve with a lot of study and work before speaking so lightly about any artist whose life and voice is dedicated to a continuous and wonderful growth of their vocal identity. In this case, to speak and analyze Dimash, you will first have to study his entire musical trajectory and who knows, you will be inspired in the right way so that you can also have a big role in the music scene and big audiences and success like a great singer as Dimash who is highly respected others as well as himself.

Actually, due to Covid, Dimash was forced to do a Livestream to the Jazz Festival. Therefore, it was LIVE not mixed. He has the most amazing voice I've ever heard and I'm a rock and roll chick. ha You guys have a long way to go to watch all of his OMV catalog, but it's so worth the journey. I am a little taken back by the fact that as famous as he is in Asia, that you both haven't heard him before. BUT that just makes it so much more fun to watch your Reaction. Keep going. I just subscribed.
One thing I have to add: Dimash learned breath control by utilizing the underwater technique used by military.

    • @siomonn_musique
      @siomonn_musique  Месяц назад

      Much appreciated!❤ It's almost sci-fi to have military-level breath control. 😂
To share with you, there are two possibilities with live streaming as far as I know. Firstly, the audios of singing and instruments will be mixed live, or else the volume balance will be all over the place. For singing especially, it can be easily covered by other instruments, not just because of volume, but also frequency masking. Secondly, the videos released might be mixed again to sound better. All of this is to present a good song, and by no means proof that the musician is incompetent or anything.
I knew Dimash, and had reacted to him before. I am confused why people thought we know nothing of him or the song. In fact, I first listened to this song about 12 years ago, probably longer than how long a lot of people were fans of Dimash.

Guys this is Dimash's interpretation cannot compare to the original. To start with what Dimash can do with his voice, I doubt there will be anyone out there who can match him, he is a genius, the original song is sung by a very famous singer, but technically and voice there are no comparisons, who can you compare Dimash talent too? not many out there. He changes the tones, highs and lows to give the song more character, more feeling in his own way, as one of you said, if you sing the same part the same way it would be very boring, so Dimash uses his voice dynamics to give the song the feeling and sentiment he feels in asking her not to go away. I've heard both versions, the original very nice and powerful, Dimash's version very impressive, something only he could do, no-one else out there could take this song and make it better, but he has.

On 2021, December 9, Dimash Qudaibergen’s fan club in Japan presented an interview with the famous Japanese lyricist, author of the text “Ikanaide” Goro Matsui. The Japanese poet first heard “Ikanaide” performed by Dimash at the Jubilee of the Tokyo Jazz Festival, which was held on November 28, 2021. On his official Twitter account, Goro Matsui wrote: “I’ve heard ‘Ikanaide’ sung by foreign singers in their native language many times, but this is the first time anyone has sung it so beautifully in Japanese.”

Koji Tamaki and Goro Matsuri, composer and writer, praised Dimash's version of their song. This was the 1st time Dimash sang in Japanese. It is extremely beautiful. Dimash has sung the Chinese version (with different lyrics because it is 2 sides of the same true story). By adding more dynamic to the voice in range it adds interests, feelings, depth to the repetitive meaning and theme of the song, Ikanaide, entreating a lover not to depart. Dimash is a universal singer. Holding the hands together at the end is symbolic of peace, respect, wishfulness globally. The song is sung from the perspective of a forlorn lover or symbolic of wishing for the return of the loved one. It's good to know about meaning of body gestures in enhancing performances certainly. Undoubtedly, exciting, creative and awe-inspiring Dimash has revolutionized the music industry...Love Dear

You two are a hoot, you sound like my boyfriend and me. Just saying. I enjoy that you show both skepticism and appreciation. Dimash interprets to his own designs, and those seem to be growing into a more international framework as his career has taken him to many cultures. I think that's why the hands in prayer at the end. From a musical standpoint to me as an American music fan, this performance is exemplary.
I'd love to hear you react together to his music video The Story of One Sky (before you hear his live performances of same.) ruclips.net/video/1Psjws97FoA/видео.html
