Dimash sings very emotional, he always said that his range it is just his tools, the most important for him it is to deliver the story in the form he created and his range is helping him to do so. Dimash is a genius in music!!!

I’ve listened to Dimash since his Singer days and really, anytime I think ok he’s done everything, there he comes with a new thing and shocks me. And just how humble he is how he cares what his teachers will think when he sings, how he keeps practicing and training to learn more when he’s already the best it’s what truly makes him a masterpiece

Dimash is the most talented in the world, no one surpasses his technical prowess, his control in breathing, in octaves, in textures, colors and in nailing notes from low to high and high to low.
The purity of each individual note. His runs are all so easy, that we don’t realize the technical difficulty involved.
He sings covers, but orchestrates how he wants the instruments to come in, he composes, he a multi instrumentalist,
And famous talents such as Maestro Placido Domingo requests to sing with him.

I'll agree with you on everything but the singing covers part because Dimash hasn't really sung covers for years apart from Teddy Swims Lose Control which probably wasn't his song choice given that he was only there to support Chante Moore in that show.

Well, I’m thinking that this song here in this reaction is a cover, maybe not quite a reinterpretation, but the early days of Dimash in, “I am Singer,” “Hello,” originally by Lionel Ritchie is a cover, “Sinful Passion,” originally done by Group A Studio, is a reinterpreted cover, the journey as starting out with SOS, SOS is a cover, a reinterpretation of the rock opera, so it’s a cover, and then this song here is a cover.
“ Love is Like a Dream,” a great song written by Igor Krutoy, is a song that an older vocalist had made famous in Russia, that Dimash covered, pretty much a reinterpretation done with the composer.
It doesn’t really matter, it only matters
to me if Dimash does covers or not, but that Dimash becomes more well known in the west. Ha, I actually would love to hear Dimash do some Steve Perry/Journey covers, and more R&B.

I’ve been following Dimash for nearly 8 years & you don’t get better than him & I’ve seen the best of the best in concerts. Check out the top vocal coach reactions to him and they all end up saying the same. You say that he doesn’t need to ‘practice’ but he practices (meticulous exercises) for at least 3-4 hours per day! BTW he is also an incredible human being - Goodwill Ambassador for the UN IOM & Goodwill Ambassador for the Congress for Leaders of the World Religions and Faiths. People from 80 different countries travelled to his last two concerts!

It's funny that you should use the word Virtuosos so much as Dimash is actually a judge for a classical music TV show here in Europe called Virtuosos along with his childhood idol Placido Domingo who he did a duet with last year.
And please don't feel dismayed, Dimash is known quite literally as the best in the world as on top of his extreme vocal range, he can also sing in any genre from Opera to Rap.
And that Virtuosos Show shows us a bunch of children, that are so good at playing various classical instruments, that it’s a whole other source for envy. 😂 They are incredible! 😊

Dimash takes his gift very seriously. This is his life's work. I've been a die-hard Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers fan for over 40 years. When he died I was devastated. I saw Dimash by chance on a Facebook reel singing SOS and my mind was blown. Six months after that I flew to Hong Kong to see him live. He is amazing live. Then I went to Budapest, Istanbul, and Kazakhstan to see him in concert. I live in Southern California. Next month I will go to see him in Prague and Germany. He is an amazing talent with a heart of gold and a passion for world peace. He loves his country and his family and he is extremely grateful for his fans (Dears). He seems too good to be true but I promise, he is the real deal.

Dimash is a phenomenal, once-in-a-lifetime artist who leaves us astounded with every performance. You have to look at more of his work. He does have perfect pitch, recognised when he was a child. He has been studying music for 25 years, has 2 degrees, with honours, in music & a Masters in music composition. Yes, he practices every day & still sees his teachers when he can. He truly is the best. Most of his videos you see on YT are live performances & he will blow you away!

You have no idea the amazing journey you have opened yourself to en route to music nirvana. I would say that whatever you listen to next will not disappoint. Maybe, Sinful Passion, Love Is Like A Dream, Your Love, The Show Must Go On. Of course, SOS is an absolute must. It is his signature song. It was the first song I ever heard him perform. He was in a singing competition in China, as the youngest, and first non-professional foreigner in the show's history. He was only 22 and the others were 12- 39 years his senior. He only spoke Kazakh, his native language, and Russian. His first four songs were in French (SOS), Russian (Opera 2), English (The Show Must Go On), and Mandarin (Autumn Strong)...with only one week to learn each song before the performance. So anxious to see more of your reactions to the Best singer in the world today. BTW, speaking of vocal range, listen to Dimash sing an opera all by himself...Olympico. Ava Maria is another must.
He has a lovely rich warm lower register--you don't hear much of it here, but his range IS amazing. And every bit of his range is wonderful.
Dimash practices constantly, with teachers. He is always amazing and humble. Imagine listening to this song live in a concert. I have. A concert is much more difficult since it’s long and he sings about 25 + songs. He’s also a very charismatic performer 😊

Love your reaction. I am 72 years old and I have never been touched by a singer as Dimash touches my soul when he sings. You talked about him sustaining notes for a long period of time. I would recommend, Ave Maria, for his higher register and Stranger, for a better idea of his wide vocal register. In both songs he holds a note for a long time, in Ave Maria it doesn't even sound possible. He has said that he swims under water to help him sing and hold notes longer on one breath. Subscribed hoping for more Dimash. You have only seen a small sample of what he can do with his voice. Even after following him since 2017, he still surprises me with new things.

With a 7 1/2 octave range and a voice of perfection, with passion in every note, there is a reason why he is considered the best of our current generation. Just when you think you've heard the best of Dimash, he'll blow you away with another one. I've heard this song hundreds of times and I'm still absolutely amazed every time.

Absolutely true. Perfection appears easy to us mere mortals, but the actual amount of work to make something look effortless is something most of us couldn't imagine dedicating ourselves to. Kudos to Dimash for a lifetime of hardwork. He deserves all the praise he is showered with.

Those notes are clearly possible for a guy with a documented 7.7 vocal range. He frequently goes much lower--and higher--than anything you heard in this song.

@@JustMyOpinion1010 Actually those who are more qualified than either you or I have a very good idea of his vocal range because it has been determined that Dimash's lowest tone is a G0 and the highest is a D8. I should have been clearer in my original comment so that no one would suggest that "we have no idea what his range is."

Oh, Dimash practices, hours a day. He keeps getting **better**. There are classical singers with bigger voices, and other singers that were the greatest at what specifically they did, but this guy's the best singer overall I've ever heard, no contest. Unmatched expressive palette and quality all the way. It's great to be alive when he is.
It's not your fault Dimash makes you feel the way you do about your singing haha, I think anyone who listens to him will get that feeling. If you do end up listening to more of him you'll realize just how bottomless his talent really is and will show you things you didn't think were possible or haven't heard of. Some get discouraged and get some sort of inferiority complex, but you can learn SOOO much from just watching his stage presence, mic control, theatrics, etc. Dimash is literally in his own league!

Once you have heard him, you will develop a NEED to have to listen to him more and more. There is no bad song from Dimash. Whether it’s his own composition or a cover, he takes it to the ultimate level of performance and makes you FEEL the music. You can’t put him in a box or try to categorize him into any one genre, because he can sing anything and EVERYTHING. Credits to his parents and grandparents for raising him right. He literally has music in his DNA. His parents are both singers. Dad is a pop singer with crooner smooth voice. Mom is an opera soprano. So yes. He is GIFTED. But he also work very hard at perfecting his techniques and skills. He trains every day for about 3 hours of voice practice. Always trying to improve himself. Like really?!😮 but yes. Beside listening and watching EVERYTHING he has on his RUclips channel, I would also recommend checking out LiLaSi’s Ultimate Dimash Guide (12 parts) to really get to know Dimash as an artist, and most of all, as a genuine humble human being. This was Dimash’s first time singing in Japanese - a language he doesn’t speak.
His mother tongue is Kazakh, and he also speaks fluent Russian, reasonable English, and a small amount of Mandarin - however, so far he’s sung in more than 12 languages! (Be sure to activate the CC for subtitles, if you’re watching videos from his own YT channel - the lyrics are always worth understanding.)
His name is Dimash Qudaibergen - Dimash has a long ‘aaa’ sound - and it would be nice if you could give the link to the original video on his channel; he’s an independent singer, not signed to a label in order to retain creative control.

First-time Dimash (Dee MOSH) reactions are always so much fun. I have literally watched at least a thousand in the six years since I first heard Dimash. You have seriously only scratched the surface of his talent. He is currently 30 years old (maybe 27 or 28 in this video) and started music school at 5. He practices every day. Both parents are singers. Keep doing Dimash!

Our Dimash is a stand alone stand out from all musical artists although he would say he’s just a singer. You will never meet a more humble beautiful human being. His talent is of course natural however he has dedicated all his life to perfect his talent. He still to this day trains at least 3 hours a day and before a concert a lot more. He is dedicated to his craft and to humanity.
