But this one did. 😅 They were talking about unimportant stuff like talent shows in general or how not hearing his whole range in one song might mean, that he doesn’t have more range or some very inappropriate comments about accents. 😮 All the time they were missing how incredibly difficult this was to sing and how no one else could do this. Kazakhstan is not in the Middle East (no judgement, when I first heard him, I had to look it up), it is in Central Asia, between Russia and China. Since then, I have travelled twice to Kazakhstan to attend Dimash’s concerts and tour the country. Dimash does sing in English too if that’s what you like. He sings in just about every genre. So, if you do not like this particular style, you can try his other genres which run from opera, to folk, to pop, to rock, jazz, and rap. You haven’t heard yet his highest notes nor his lowest ones. You (the lady) seem to have enjoyed it more. I would encourage you to check out more of his talent.
I don’t think by saying he has a 7-octave range that it was implied you would hear it all in one song! He was 22 here; by now, at age 30, he has, I believe, over 7 octaves. Listen to a variety of his work and you will begin to appreciate: the Fifth Element, Olimpico, Stranger, Omir, and Love is Like a Dream would be a good sampling. This song was only 4 octaves. You would have to hear a number of songs to get a fuller understanding of his range. But I doubt you would be interested. French is not a fluent language for him. The audience in this performance are industry experts.After this performance he became so popular overnight that he required full security detail in China the very next day. He is an international superstar. Bocelli and Pavarotti both performed with him and acknowledged his superiority. The billionaire Russian composer came out of retirement to write for him. If you don't understand music why react to it. I don't think you guys know how octaves work. 😅 Most people can only sing in 1 or maybe 2 octaves during a song. Regardless, I think you should hold back on assumptions about artists you watch. People will be upset and correct you and then you'll think everyone is attacking you for no reason.

Dimash is a 30-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. Kazakhstan is located in Central Asia. Broadly speaking, it borders Russia to the northwest and north, China to the east, and Kyrgyztan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly anyway, but it does happen sometimes😅). However, if you include the notes he has sung live in his concerts so far, you get almost 8 octaves (7.7 from vocal fry C1 (B0) to the whistle register D8; this note is no longer on the piano). At least that's what he's shown us so far. And this in all registers (chest, mixed and head voice up to the whistle register). The transitions from one register to the other are so fluid that they are sometimes not recognized even by vocal coaches or professional singers. His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of hard daily training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads, RnB and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 15 languages. Every time you think you know him and his art, that you've seen the best and that it's impossible for it to get any better, you realize you're so wrong. He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills. He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He is constantly his biggest competitior to get better and better. He is a real perfectionist. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is and likes to try new things. You can't compare him to any other singer on this planet. He has so many different music genres and styles. This song in 2017 was about 3.5 octaves. It went into some baritone and went up near the top coloratura soprano opera range. Dimash has grown his lower range since then and can now do one more note higher in his falsetto to reach the top soprano opera note of F6. He has also been recorded doing subharmonics to get very low and whistle tones to get almost 2 octaves higher than falsetto. So his low chest voice to top falsetto is a little over 4 octaves. Some might not consider subharmonics and whistle as the "real" range. Apply your own standards.

Dimash doesn’t sing his highest or lowest notes in this song. This performance was seven years ago. He improves all the time. Sings everything from opera to rap, Try Stranger, from New Wave 2021. which is in English and like a Game of Throne film score.
This song does not have that low of notes. It is the 5th hardest French song to sing. He is not Asian he is Kazakhstan he was invited onto the show as a wild card. Dimash has been training his voice since he was 5 years old, he was the youngest admitted into the music university. His Grandmother took him he never missed 1 day. All his life he was preparing to sing. He turned down a prestigious offer from an Opera group, because he wanted to go out on his own. He mixes genera’s with in songs, he also brings folk vocal techniques into songs. As in SOS a mix of Opera & Pop. Some songs have Opera, Pop jazz & rock. You never know also none of his songs are the same, each time he may sing a song over but he makes it very different. His SOS 2021 in his digital show because of the pandemic this song is different.

for most of his range you should watch his song "stranger" but for the whistle notes you should watch i think "daybreak" at Gakku where he used a D8 but thats just a frequency not singing anymore. At other occasions he used G7. He did not sign with a lable but is on tour with the team only, maybe thats why he is not in the radio. He had been in USA and europe already. Dimash has greatly expanded his range over the years and you'll see that if you continue reacting to him‼ Additionally, he keeps learning, growing, training with great voice coaches, acquiring new vocal skills and techniques, earning university degrees in music, etc. There are many musically trained reactors and musicians who have explained much better the genius of Dimash's music and artistry. For most of us, his music is not just about his range...it's the way he uses different techniques, registers, genres, styles, etc to convey the emotions behind each of his songs. And however good or bad the singing competitions are, we have to admit that they have springboarded many artists forward to fame. Kazakhstan is not in the Middle East (no judgement, when I first heard him, I had to look it up), it is in Central Asia, between Russia and China. Since then, I have travelled twice to Kazakhstan to attend Dimash’s concerts and tour the country.
Dimash does sing in English too if that’s what you like. He sings in just about every genre. So, if you do not like this particular style, you can try his other genres which run from opera, to folk, to pop, to rock, jazz, and rap. You haven’t heard yet his highest notes nor his lowest ones.

Listen to a variety of his work and you will begin to appreciate: the Fifth Element, Olimpico, Stranger, Omir, and Love is Like a Dream would be a good sampling. Dimash is a 30-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world.
Kazakhstan is located in Central Asia. Broadly speaking, it borders Russia to the northwest and north, China to the east, and Kyrgyztan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly anyway, but it does happen sometimes😅). However, if you include the notes he has sung live in his concerts so far, you get almost 8 octaves (7.7 from vocal fry C1 (B0) to the whistle register D8; this note is no longer on the piano). At least that's what he's shown us so far. And this in all registers (chest, mixed and head voice up to the whistle register). The transitions from one register to the other are so fluid that they are sometimes not recognized even by vocal coaches or professional singers.
His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of hard daily training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads, RnB and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 15 languages. And at his concert in Almaty, Kazakhstan on September 23, 2022 he sang in 7 languages in one concert!
He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how.
Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, intelligent, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. At his concerts he tells the audience that he has given concerts in many countries and repeatedly emphasizes that he loves everyone in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this.
His concert in September 23, 2022 was in Almaty, Kazakhstan. It was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, that you've seen the best and that it's impossible for it to get any better, you realize you're so wrong.
He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills.
He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He is constantly his biggest competitior to get better and better. He is a real perfectionist. He's a singer you can't put in any box.
He sings almost every genre there is and likes to try new things. You can't compare him to any other singer on this planet. He has so many different music genres and styles. He loves Freddie Mercury, but also Michael Jackson, Lara Fabian, Luciano Pavarotti and Eminem and you can also hear that one or the other has an influence on some of his songs.
Every time you watch a new video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione.
SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. He was just 22 years old at the time.
I think it was very difficult for him at the beginning. You have to imagine, until this competition in China in 2017 he never was alone. Dimash, like many other Kazakhs, has the tradition of living under one roof with the whole family all together. He lives with his grandparents, parents, a sister, a brother an other relatives in the same house. And now he had to go to China alone, didn‘t know the country, didn‘t know the language, didn‘t know the traditions or livestyle and up to that point he spoke (almost) no English, except maybe „Thank you“ and „My name is Dimash“. Only one interpreter came along and that at the age of 22. He was almost a kid to me then (my son is 21 so I can imagine…). The other competitiors might not have taken Dimash seriously at first because of his age and that they didn’t know him but that quickly changed after the performance of SOS, as you can see. Through his honest, cheerful and open nature, he found friends very quickly. Contacts that still exist today.

Here you can hear a large part of his vocal range, as well as an incredibly awesome Kazakh instrument. The Qobys. The man who often plays the Qkobys in Dimash’s performances is the best on this instrument and a good friend of Dimash. His name is Olzhas Qurmanbek. Stranger is one of my absolute favorite songs. I get goosebumps every time I hear it.
Stranger was written by the famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter Igor Krutoy. His and Dimash's collaboration created true masterpieces. He writes songs that only Dimash can sing with his vocal range, such as Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. If Igor Krutoy is there, the song was also written by him. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship.
He wrote this song and others especially for Dimash’s wide vocal range. But you have to be careful with this song. It gets blocked a lot😐

This song in 2017 was about 3.5 octaves. It went into some baritone and went up near the top coloratura soprano opera range.
Dimash has grown his lower range since then and can now do one more note higher in his falsetto to reach the top soprano opera note of F6.
He has also been recorded doing subharmonics to get very low and whistle tones to get almost 2 octaves higher than falsetto.
So his low chest voice to top falsetto is a little over 4 octaves. Some might not consider subharmonics and whistle as the "real" range. Apply your own standards.

Dimash doesn’t sing his highest or lowest notes in this song. This performance was seven years ago. He improves all the time. Sings everything from opera to rap, Try Stranger, from New Wave 2021. which is in English and like a Game of Throne film score.
This song does not have that low of notes. It is the 5th hardest French song to sing. He is not Asian he is Kazakhstan he was invited onto the show as a wild card. Dimash has been training his voice since he was 5 years old, he was the youngest admitted into the music university. His Grandmother took him he never missed 1 day. All his life he was preparing to sing. He turned down a prestigious offer from an Opera group, because he wanted to go out on his own. He mixes genera’s with in songs, he also brings folk vocal techniques into songs. As in SOS a mix of Opera & Pop. Some songs have Opera, Pop jazz & rock. You never know also none of his songs are the same, each time he may sing a song over but he makes it very different.
His SOS 2021 in his digital show because of the pandemic this song is different.

Kazakhstan is next to Russia. Dimash speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian. By now he has sung in more than 15 languages (he has training in opera singing) and he has been playing piano since he was 5 years old.

If you dont know anything about music then its better for not reacting. I dont think you even understand how difficult that song is. Even the best vocalists of the world admit they dont understand how he is doing all these vocals life on stage . for most of his range you should watch his song "stranger" but for the whistle notes you should watch i think "daybreak" at Gakku where he used a D8 but thats just a frequency not singing anymore. At other occasions he used G7. He did not sign with a lable but is on tour with the team only, maybe thats why he is not in the radio. He had been in USA and europe already.
