How to fix slow loading folders green loading bar in Windows

- Does your folder load forever before your files show up? Try this!
1. Press Start and type "Folder Options"
2. Click the "View" tab
3. Click "Reset Folders"
4. Under "Advanced settings:" scroll down and
enable the box next to "Launch folder windows in a separate process".
5. Click apply and close all the folders
6. Open any folders and it should work faster now

I had some .MOV files showing as weird matrix like green thumbnails and THIS solution fixed that! I had been formating my pc, installing windows 10/11, different antiviruses, etc. THANK YOU!!!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH! Btw if the Options Menu appears grayed out on the View panel, you can access the same menu by clicking on File>Change folder and search options. Hope this helps!

Fixed my issue, thanks so much. But why is this necessary you think? I've just downloaded several gigs of iPhone videos and photos and they load like crap. When opening one file, photos will sit for 10 seconds grey with no image.

My problem is different: only folders containing HEIC or MP4 files take forever to load. The video solution unfortunately didn't work for me.
It could be an outdated codec issue.
It's working but HDD should not have much bad sectors but it's amazing anyway!

There are no folders on the left, they have vanished, all i have is the annoying green line, and no folders.
doesn't work, the green bar just keeps loading and loading and never finishes
