but I think the problem is in my download folder, file explorer keeps crashing and takes forever to load the desktop icons on startup, deleting files also takes too long, whenever I try to download something from chrome the popup dialog window freezes

Took 4 steps to work for me, and very happy it did! I think this happened because I downloaded a 30gb flight sim zip file and tried to move it from my download folder to the desktop.
holy shit. I had a problem where if i clicked on any file in file exploreer it freezes and doesnt respond anymore, because of which i couldn't open any file in my pc. I thought that this fixed my issue but the problem returns over and over..
took me some time to discover what is causing it. it is the sims 3!
as soon as i play the game and even when i quit it my explorer is slowed down, freezes.. until i restart my computer.
All other games do not slow down anything.. i think it is because sims 3 is pirated so guys do not play pirated sims
it has some viruses that ruin pc. I can't believe and antivirus cant detect anything
