- I was privileged to be onboard this spectacular LaFerrari when it attended evoMax this September.
The acceleration is completely mindblowing, even for somebody who is lucky enough to have driven and passengered in as many fast cars as I have.
Thank you to the very generous driver who did constant runs for hours and took a lot of people out.
Fantastic to see the car being used properly and shared so generously!
For those of you who know the venue, the timed portion of the runway was cut short by some 200 yards as there was a 747 parked at the end of it.
And the "Whoa!" at the end was the sight of a huge truck coming towards us on the narrow perimeter road of the run-off section, which not all the cars used!

Mclaren P1 and Porsche 918 are very impressive cars, but when Ferrari introduces their best of the best, they submit to it.
I went to a track a while ago and saw a 918 Spyder wipe the floor with a LaFerrari.

He must have gone to a tack in video games. Speaking negatively about any of the 918 Spyder, LaFerrari, or McLaren is childish because they are all impressive cars. However, Porsche is 7 seconds slower than Ferrari from 0 to 186 mph, and that is significant by any standards.

I've just timed this acceleration run and I got 0-160mph in 12.7 seconds. Maybe a little bit less, around 12.3 seconds minus reaction time of me pressing the stop button. So Ferrari claiming 0-186 in 15 seconds is very possible. God, this car is quick!

Don't use Brunthingthorpe as a reference. All the cars are much slower here than on a good straight, level road.

@@dimitariliyanov3680 3% I think. It goes over a crest just before the end. But with that bumpy rutted surface even the best cars are several seconds slow. Just being thrown around and fighting to keep the tires on the ground. The Space Shuttle runway is IMHO the best surface short of a prepped drag strip for testing.

Ferrari inbuilt speedometer is showing incorrect speeds
McLaren also claimed their P1 can do 0-186 in 15 seconds 😂 but no it was actually 20.9 seconds which is absolutely shame on these car companies
Whereas Porsche said Thier 918 Spyder can do 214 mph and it literally did 214 mph on GPS and they also said that GT2RS can do 217 mph with than huge wing and it just literally hit 217 mph on GPS only Porsche is the manufacturer which gives true numbers

That's the difference between Ferrari,s and Maclarens,sheer savagery,noise,and passion all in one.I respect the 7.20s greatly.It reminded me of back in the day Tyson and Eubanks.One was boringly efficient and the other was a madly aggressive beast.(just my personal op!).

Aerodynamics is the most important thing at high speeds. and Laferrari is the best technology in this too.
The acceleration is much better without launch control. This is what you must do when you go for a race against P1 and 918 and it could be faster if he revved up to red line in first and second gears. 12 sec for 160 MPH and almost 5.5 from 160 to 186 MPH. Considering the steepness of the track after hairpin it could do 160-186 MPH in less seconds that 5.5 in a level surface and yeah... 0-300 in 15 is possible
It's quite steep if even a Koenisegg one : 1 took 4-5 sec extra to reach 300. 0-300 in 15 -16 might be doable on a flat track.
I agree with you. You need to get the Launch control right. On a track surface like Fiorano in the Motor Trend video the clutch drops seamlessly while I see most owners drop it rather jaaringly on these kinds of surfaces which hurts your launch. Only Porsche has really mastered the art of blasting off the line.

I want to see this with launch control and 9000 or + rpm shifting (the guy change gear around 8700-8800rpm). Laferrari give the max nominal power at 9000rpm and can reach 9250rpm (with little extra power) according to Ferrari tech. spec.
Also the One:1 will end this debate instantly lol. If the driver can keep it on the tarmac!!!

When gearing up/down, do you have to use clutch/release the gas pedal or is it fully automatic and you just have to push or pull the lever at the perfect time?
As far as I'm aware, it's fully automatic.

You can keep pushing the gas pedal, there's also no third pedal like in a stick shift car. Pulling/pushing the lever is all it takes to change gears ;-)
You can't deny that the LaFerrari is a fantastic piece of engineering, though.
Gearbox(inside) look like manual not like automatic trans but you don't have clutch pedal because the car shift gears with computer+hydraulic quicker than you can manually
Looks like it might easily run over 400 km/h with the right tyres.
It's limited to 350, but Ferrari confirmed it can go over 400.

213 is mighty impressive, but the video's not that interesting when all we see is the speedo. Let us watch and be envious of the experience, not just the numbers!

It didn't look at it was max speed, there were quite low revs in 7th gear when the track ended.
Right, guy started 7th gear on 209 mp/h, almost 340 km/h in 6th gear, plenty more in 7th...
+Maurizzio Lateralus Theoretical top speed @redline in 7th is around 420 kmph. The theoretical top speed for the aerodynamics for 950 HP is close to 430 kmph but the tires will be a limiting factor.
I'd say it will cap around 230 mph.

Placed 6th gear 170mph and 7th 209mph, probably its maximum speed is close to the 240 factory.
