My Philosophy: I love music. I love all kinds of music. And I go into every album wanting to love it, so that’s my starting point for every review. Keep in mind, though, that music is a very personal thing. An album may hit me personally in a very different way than it hits you. That’s complexly natural and unavoidable, which is why I try to include some personal context in my reviews. It’s so you’ll have a better idea where I’m coming from. In the end, it’s still just my personal opinion, which is inherently biased, and which you may or may not agree with. Hopefully, once in a while, we’ll find common ground.

Didn't know about Tears Are Not Enough ( Do Know The ABC song ) & the line-up is impressive ! 🇨🇦 🍁
Very impressive!
Yeah eh! I haven't heard that song for years and years and years even though I live in Canada, I still like Band Aid the best though
Some added info about "Tears Are Not Enough". Aside from Eugene Levy added as Chorus background singer, Paul Shaffer (David Letterman) & Tom Cochrane (Life Is A Highway) were there too. And mega Rock Producer Bob Rock (Metallica, The Cult, Motley Crue) was one of the Engineers.
And John Candy in the chorus too!
I still have my vinyl I purchased when it first came out. I love the Prince song and that was my main reason for purchasing it. The other songs are good but it's 4 the Tears in Your Eyes is my favorite. Was good to see all the artists taking part and putting their voice to a charity record.
The Prince song is great, and to be honest, I’m glad he didn’t sing on WATW because that really wasn’t at all a “Prince” kind of track.
Enjoyed the Prince contribution.
Me too!
Kyle,The CD copy of this album goes for around 50 of your uk 🇬🇧 pounds it’s quite difficult to get.
Keep an eye open for it at used shops and maybe get lucky to get a bargain!
Cyndi Lauper's vocal is a standout on the single.
Agreed!
I like Tears Are Not Enough. A lot of great Canadian talent on the song - Joni, Neil, Geddy, Anne Murray. Plus, underrated singers like Dalbello (whose work deserves a resurgence), Carole Pope of Rough Trade, etc.
It’s maybe the best of the three songs, honestly!
What i couldnt figure out in that documentary is why Dan Akroyd was singing on We Are the World😂
What I have heard is that he had a business meeting earlier in the day with someone like one of the other participant's managers, and that person invited him to come. So I don't think he was "officially" invited, he just kind of showed up.
Poor Bob Dylan, it wasnt a good decade for him. At least he was humble enough to know he wasnt very good on the song
He looks REALLY uncomfortable to be there, too!
