These drift missions really made me hate drifting in general. I'm not even sure I'll put more effort into getting the last two to gold. I've tried for hours. This is alot harder than any of the license tests (and i mean every one, including all Super tests). Considering there isn't a single license test that teaches drifting, i feel like these missions are way too hard.
Me too. Drifting missions are way too hard relative to the other missions, especially for someone like me who loathes drifting. All drifting missions should be in their own mission set with drifting car rewards. It's complete bs all those free cars for all practical purposes are locked away from me because I'm not spending countless hours practicing something I despise.
Thank you, man. Done on my driving wheel. Couldn't have done it without your help. Started it yesterday, had to take two Valium a few hours later had to take two more. Had another go this morning after watching this. No need for Valium today. 😀
Wow! And the hits keep on coming LOL! I haven't tried that challenge yet, but because of your precise and logically practical explanation and superb demonstration of how to accomplish GOLD for this trial, I'm looking forward to doing exactly what you said and prove you right! Thank you very much!
Super License 10 with no assists is genuinely infuriating, because you're in a Porsche 917K and it has absolutely zero traction. The older F1 car passing the 3 other cars on Spa (Gone with the Wind #6 I think) is a cakewalk in comparison.
@@hmza._. They definitely nerfed the difficulty with a patch, because I went back and tried it after your comment and you get ***WAY*** more traction than you used to.
I just completed this. Took me ages. In the end I got just under 8000 pts. Your video helped me a lot, though drift tutorials always seem easy but execution is another thing. It could be the natural line I was taking was different or something may have changed in a patch but I found it easier to hold the drift in the second sector in third gear. I spent many hours doing fourth gear like in the video, but I found that I often slid off the track cause of too much speed, or when I didn't do that I would struggle to keep momentum and the drift would stop mid turn. Once I changed to dropping to third gear I probably got the gold maybe in 20 minutes of trying (obvs after many hours of getting use to the challenge), and ended up getting a large margin from the 7500 pts (though that is how these things usually go). So if others are having trouble, perhaps give third gear a shot like me. I think I got something like 5500 pts in the second sector doing that (still fishtailing in 4th/5th at the beginning like the video, then drop to 3rd as executing the main drift) so there are plenty of points available to get the gold even in third gear speeds. I think your video could emphasis how you use the brake as you enter sector 2, it is pretty important. The main theme of this challenge that causes a lot of pain I think, is that sector 1 is really fast and you have to wipe off a lot of speed before you do the main drift in sector 2. I didn't find the 70 mph turn in point helpful, but I've never really used speeds as an indication when to turn in when racing and other activities. It did seem that your speed in the video dropped well below 70mph which would seem to match my experience.
I tried to accomplish drift missions using my wheel at first, but I found myself struggling to get a gold medal even at the first one, with Silvia😂 Then I tried this nonsense with the controller, and realized that it’s so muuuch easier with it🤷🏼♂️ That’s probably because my wheel (T150 btw) is too slow for fast counter steering, and the joysticks aren’t😅
Thanks, for the Video Kireth knowing, seeing and hearing the explanation certainly helped. It tooked me way too long to do this, but I horribly suck at drifting and glad to move onto the non-drifting activities again.
Without this video I wouldn’t have passed this challenge 😂 the tip for the first section is spot on, I managed to get 2700 points almost every time. However I couldn’t quite get the sweet spot for drifting in 4th on the second section so I changed down gear and did it in 2nd as I found it easier to hold the drift. (p.S. it took me 4 days - I only ventured to RUclips after day 2)😂
@@Kireth I found that if you actually just go slower you end up drifting longer and earning more points with less effort, I was drifting too fast to get the 7500 i was just barely under it and got almost 8000 after slowing down and just focusing on drifting.
Kiss my 😳, like seriously. First corner ok then you get 700 points before entering the second corner by going side to side while slowing down. That was awesome. That would have saved me from doing this for days. You are gifted in this game.

Brilliant vid! I will say it’s definitely tougher, but another great way to do it is to go no higher than 4th, and it’ll give you enough power to link both turns without a monji. So I’ve been trying to do this mission for around 6 hours now over 3 sessions. If you do it in fourth on the ps4 at 60-70 it understeers off to the left unless you touch the handbrake which spins it off to the left anyway. If you do it at less than 60 it hasn’t got the torque to spin the rear wheels and make a drift

Yeah they weren't too bad. One other thing.. you'd naturally think you have to be on the power to get drift points but learning to use the handbrake - holding it whilst opposite locking especially on those sections where you're having to slow down to enter into an approaching corner is a useful technique. (that test demonstrated above, where he added that extra Scandinavian flip after the first drift section.. where instead you could just hold the handbrake to continue the power drift you'd just completed consequentially slowing down for the next tight corner)
Finally got it, thanks so much! The eureka moment for me was easing onto the throttle into the last corner, else I kept going wide. (Maybe wasn’t as bad before the physics patch?) Also had to shift down into third half way round the corner as I suck and lost too much speed. Managed it though! ✨
Scored 7785 last night. I left countersteering assist on, some recommend disabling it, I found you spin out way too easily otherwise. Also, on the second bend I don't accelerate again until the apex; otherwise I am constantly sliding out of bounds.
I ignored handbrake, did the first drift in 4th and then locked up the brakes while switching direction and entered sideways while scrubbing off a ton of speed, then regular drift to the end. Only one change of direction
I must say thank you for the reply and I just tried a drifting challenge and got gold second time, im so shocked how easy it was on a pad its ridiculous😁 keep up the good work ill sub now.
Somehow managed to get this done in about 15 minutes. The hardest drift challenge for me was the drift car at Tsukuba. Took about 1 1/2 hours to get gold.

Do you think this is possible in automatic rathe than manual? I don't want to have to learn how to drive manual in this game on controller just for a stupid challenge
Honestly, this one didn't feel as difficult as the drift mission with the Mustang, that thing would just not keep the drift consistently without either stopping completely or spining out. Eventually with this one I was able to figure out the car and the technique to get gold and managed to get up to 8000 points, but with the mustang I passed it barely and it looked really clunky, I had to stop in the middle of the apex and just do a bunch of smaller drifts to get it done. The brz mission felt harder but didn't take me as long for some reason.
interesting, i cleared it with scrubbing until my speed it alright and do 2nd in to 3rd gear on final corner but it often spin out. maybe i'll try 4th gear on BRZ Drift as it spin out easily on the left corner cuz it has 900bhp. i already got all gold but it still pain me abit cuz the last corner is quite a hardest one to get right after transition.
Honestly, all the drifting challenges to me were the easiest but maybe it’s because i have always daily driven manual FR cars? But i got gold on every drift mission before i even tried anything else just because i thought it was fun.
I struggle like crazy at this and it is because I use the wheel. I would use my controller but I paid no attention to it at the set up phase and the settings are wrong and try though I may I cannot fathom how to change them. Any advice from any kind person out there would be gratefully received. 🙏 Like deployed 👍 😎🎙🏎✅
S-10, but seeing it done doesn't help me lol. I managed this one when it was broken. But I just don't got the mindspace left for S-10 until there is a reward for it.
I tried to aim for the most points in the first section, the 2nd bit was just me trying to get lower gear and essentially flukes by me but only by a small margin. Also idk if it’s still possible on the bra(Z) drift challenge but you could fail after getting enough to earn bronze anywhere in the challenge and pass.
Eco challenge in the old Skyline, maybe its because I like drifting games that I breezed through this first try 😂.. I had more trouble with the Mustang GR4 honestly
The GR4 mission drift, what a bastard, must of spent 2hrs on it, worst of it i did get the points for gold once then fell of the track and reset to zero, at this point words were said, not to dissimilar to Ollie drifting stream.
@@Kireth I got lucky.. I kept it on track loosely like you did here and just narrowly slid by with the gold 😅 I was relieved it wasn't the Mustang all over again
I spent a few hours trying to gold the last two with a wheel. It's ridiculously difficult. I did them both in under 30 min on my first attempt with a controller: Auto transmission, BB+5, CSS +7 is all you need for them.
No that isn't correct. He doesn't use brakes in the first sector. Just a tap of the handbrake at the start. Then he uses brakes no handbrake in the second sector to slow down in addition to the fishtailing to scrub off the speed as he enters the main drift. The handbrake symbol is the (!) next to the (ABS) symbol. It only comes up once in his video. The vertical gauge on the left of the tachometer is the brake. He never goes full brake while on full gas. I used more handbrake to get this challenge done at the start of the second sector, and hence probably fishtailed more aggressively to scrub speed. Then per my other comment I used third gear for the main drift.

Could you please make a guide for doing this on a racing wheel?
Hi can you cover each of the other 2 drift challenges too im terible at drifting I use a pad i can only get bronze, gt7 needs a drift tutorial
Honestly, all the drifting challenges to me were the easiest but maybe it’s because i have always daily driven manual FR cars? But i got gold on every drift mission before i even tried anything else just because i thought it was fun.
Last S license challenge at Spa. I’m multiple seconds off gold and don’t see how I can go any quicker without going off track
The Jeep one is the only one I can’t beat. Struggled for hours just to get silver.
I struggle like crazy at this and it is because I use the wheel. I would use my controller but I paid no attention to it at the set up phase and the settings are wrong and try though I may I cannot fathom how to change them. Any advice from any kind person out there would be gratefully received. 🙏
Like deployed 👍

Try these tips Julian!
@@Kireth will do! ❤
I don’t know what was the hardest but I got all the drift missions real easy most on my first try too
Where is this challenge at on the game. Played for 100 hours and only seen menu books and missions. How do I get to drift challenge
So this is only with the handbrake then ?
S-10, but seeing it done doesn't help me lol. I managed this one when it was broken. But I just don't got the mindspace left for S-10 until there is a reward for it.
The drift challenges are so difficult with the wheel. Near on impossible
Just stay 4th gear first part then drop 3 Rd with half throttle all way round
If y’all want to know hard to pass tasks try out the super license especially S-7 and S-10 (final exam)
S-10 is easy if you cheese it by turning steering assist to strong and TC 3.
i didnt realise there was a struggle with it because i did it in a few attempts while the tyre bug was still in the game so rh tyres
Eco challenge in the old Skyline, maybe its because I like drifting games that I breezed through this first try 😂.. I had more trouble with the Mustang GR4 honestly
Check out the big dawg 😅
The GR4 mission drift, what a bastard, must of spent 2hrs on it, worst of it i did get the points for gold once then fell of the track and reset to zero, at this point words were said, not to dissimilar to Ollie drifting stream.
@@ecoterrorist1402 I saw that and had the same struggles.. idk if it was a tire bug but I nearly broke a controller that day
@@Kireth I got lucky.. I kept it on track loosely like you did here and just narrowly slid by with the gold 😅 I was relieved it wasn't the Mustang all over again
I've done this first try😂 no cap, probably because I was listening to music while doing it😂
Try with a wheel , I just won’t bother thumb twiddling
I had good hour on it and got 🏆 that do 👍
I spent a few hours trying to gold the last two with a wheel. It's ridiculously difficult. I did them both in under 30 min on my first attempt with a controller: Auto transmission, BB+5, CSS +7 is all you need for them.
what settings?
No assists I believe
Is he holding handbrake while on full gas?
So you never touch the brake just use handbrake?
Is that righr
I golded this with RH tyres when the tyre glitch was a thing...
you star👍. last gold to get in those missions. Looks like you are using controller ?
Yep 👍
Hey buddy I have almost lobbed my controller through the tv doing this can u screen share for me pppppplease lol great vid will give it a try soon thank u also love ur page how’s things looking with fanatec now if u know buddy thanks rob
IA 8 has been my bugaboo
Meanwhile I did it with the broken bf update Racing hard tires lol good job tho
Can u please teach us how to do all of the drag races, cause for the love of god, it wants to spin out every single time I push the god damn gas, thanks lol?
If you can spare the money 💴 get the tomahawk.. it will smash everything.. try up shifts a little early, try not to hit rev limit until 4th and 5th gear ..
Just make sure you buy the right one ( SRT Tomahawk X VGT 2,568 BHP ) it will get you the top speed trophies 🏆 600 plus kmh
