I was so disappointed to not find any apartment style 55 plus communities in this video. My husband and I live in a 55 plus community in florida, and want to escape the heat. But we are long past the stage where we want a home, or even a cottage home. Are there any 55 plus apartment buildings in Richmond that are not income restricted? We'd like a single floor flat, with very nice amenities. Anything between 700 to 1,000 sq ft
Unfortunately not. I just went through MLS to see what fits your criteria and within the 55+ communities there aren't any apartment style condos fitting the bill. Every single level condo I found was pretty much a single level townhome where that particular unit was attached to 1-3 other units so they all felt much more like townhomes. I couldn't find any true 55+ condo buildings with multiple levels like an apartment building. The keyword to the last sentence is 55+. There are a bunch of condos & condo buildings that would match what you are looking for, just not age restricted. Send me your email address, and budget and I can send you some examples. This is a great video! My question is what are usually the HOA rules in the 55+ communities? I heard they could be really strict.
You are absolutely correct. The HOAs within 55+ communities tend to be very strict.
