That's a nice auction house. I've done government, cattle, estate and industrial equipment auctions but next week is my first delinquent tax auction. I narrowed the list of 591 properties to 24 vacant wooded properties I'm interested in. Thanks for the video!
@@chrisbarrett2250 I got one. Picked up a lake lot valued at about 15K for just under $700 bucks. I'll flip it as fast as possible to avoid racking up HOA fees.

Thanks for your message,. Please keep in mind that the average land parcel at these auctions is less that 1/2 Acre from my experience. There isn't much legal hunting or traditional farming that take place in the City of Richmond.
@@Fiveohhhh804 Thank you for this info! I was driving myself crazy trying to figure that out. Since the property is being sold with delinquent taxes, are you still responsible for any other prior financial obligations on the home, or does VAs process work as if it was a tax lien/deed auction?
@@conniegibson342 I’m sitting thinking the same. I know with tax deed auctions you don’t carry over the mortgage but I’m not sure with this form of auction. Really would like to know.

probably to keep the atmosphere reved up?... I went to one and was a nervous wreck by the time it was over. Not for the faint of heart, I can tell you. I won the bid but we were al like a train wreck afterwards. I even got insulted, twice. --- What are you doing here, you don't have any money? bc I always look poor. --- in not so many words; and, "Is this check good"?, plus lied to about property so we would change our minds about buying. Overall, an experience to forget. Funny now, but not then.
If cases of tax sale foreclosures then auctions, suppose there still is a mortgage lien, where is the bank in all of this? Wouldn't the bank have foreclosed on the property before it even went to tax sales? I would imagine the county/town would have informed the bank of the delinquency.. Thanks
You don't have to pay speeding tickets or any tickets in Virginia but if you miss a property tax they are taking your shit. It's not balanced everyone should pay if you break the law. taxes must be paid and tickets too.

How often do Motleys do the tax lien auctions
How much does raw rec land get run up to? Tracts that aren’t good for much more than rec/hunting and maybe a little farming?

Great question. We don't have tax lien / deed auctions in Virginia. This auction was for actual real estate that was tax delinquent.
