Good job splicing the Jann Werner intro (Rock & Roll's a mighty river......) and the crowd response to him introducing RUSH (all he said was "and from Toronto" and we went wild) from the 2013 RRHOF induction ceremony with a portion of the 2014 ceremony.
His intro wasn't in the 2013 HBO edited version so many people may not know this came from, but for those of us who were in Los Angeles at the Nokia Center, we know that was from 2013.

Gene and Paul are always going on and on about the fans. I hope they honor the fans' wishes and make nice and play together with Ace and Peter for the induction ceremony. That is what the fans want. They are the ones that voted and screamed and helped get the band into the Hall of Fame!

Wow the grandfathers of metal and this version of Beth is really good. Being a drummer Peter Kriss had some big kits and one more note I thank Kiss for giving my all time favorites RUSH the American publicity opening for the band in the mid 70's. Gene is in Rush's doc. Beyond The Lighted Stage and they became great friends too. ROCK ON!

Everyone involved as a member of KISS should be a part of the induction, The "Four" horsemen, Ace Peter Paul and Gene are the core foundation of the band. Without the success of the original line up there would be no version of KISS that included Bruce or Mark or Tommy. But they all have a place in the history of the band.

I love rock n roll, but during the course of my life I've only really liked about ten bands, and the rest could go hang. With Nirvana and Kiss, all the ones I like are inducted now. Other than The Beatles, The Ramones were the only other band that I truly loved. They were inducted fairly rapidly, I'm good. Congratulations, Kiss and Nirvana. The rest of you, good luck and who cares.

You know, for as long as they've been eligible, they could have gone in and did an actual farewell tour, before the old man bickering began, who knows. The fact remains, it's a damn shame these guys aren't going to come together for this special moment. Thanks a lot rock hall, you have no one to blame but yourselves.

Kiss are one of the most influential bands ever. In the early to mid 1970's, no, late 1970's they rocked!!! better than anyone live on stage and thats where it counts. Going to see bands that on stage were so boring...but not with Kiss. its way overdue......
I became a kiss fan in 1975. Paul Lynn Halloween special... all original members should accept this honor from the fans AND their peers with humility. The honor should be extended to Bruce K. and Eric Carr in memorium. Tommy and Eric Singer? Yes.. what is sad is that this is about the fans and really not about the band. I'm sad that the fans have their day and the band f*cks it up.

if they play they should give Peter a drumkit that he's most comfortable.On the reunion tour they had him playin D.W( i dont like) they had him using zildjian rock cymbals(it was new beats back in the day) the dude had a hard time cuz he had to play kinda hard w/ heavier sticks,cymbals,etc.Give him the Alive 1 kit to use,they peaked then
It has nothing to do with the kit. It has to do with the fact that due to years of heroin abuse, Peter has destroyed his arms. Ever since 1979, he hasn't been able to play all that well. Learn your facts please.

Now, here is a little history lesson for you Junior. Peter Criss had an endorsement deal with DW several years before the reunion took place so he was used to them by the time the reunion happened. His poor drumming is due to years upon years of drug abuse............PERIOD......END OF STORY!!!!! I, unlike you, have been a musician for 34 years. I KNOW what I am talking about.
First off, I dont post in here unless I know what I am talking about so let me explain this again. It was Peter's choice to play DWs, not anyone elses. Secondly, it wouldnt matter if they gave hin the Alive kit, he still would have sucked which has been the case since 1979. Do your homework before spouting off and making yourself look like a major douche. Oh, by the way, my wife is gorgeous AND she loves girls too. I am a lucky and very happy man so your arguments dont even phase me.
Peter did not use DW during the reunion tour. He used Pearl.
Ace and Peter need to be present as they are original members and were instrumental in Kiss' success. They should reunite with them, do a proper farewell tour that would go overseas to UK, France, Germany and so on and make a proper studio album with Ace and Peter this time please Gene and don't sub them out like you did on Psycho Circus. They should have Paul produce again like he did with Sonic Boom And Monster. This time Ace, Peter, Paul And Gene should all contribute to the songs on this al
Before i make my observation I want to say, I truly love these guy's. I used to sleep with a picture of Peter and Ace inside my pillow case at age 10. NOBODY influenced me as a musician more than these two from my childhood! Bu,t as a musician I have had to deal with drugs and alcohol in my own bands. It is truly a nightmare. You are depending on the consistency of people who have NO sense of propriety. How does one do that with any integrity? The only people Peter and Ace have to blame for their fate is themselves. Drug use not only can kill you but it can steal your legacy... Peter and Ace have had to learn that the hard way! You can say what you want about it being about the money, but it is also about doing what you love the way you want to do it Gene and Paul deserve that happiness! Peter and Ace's story should serve as a warning to other aspiring musicians not only as guitarist and drummers, but as a beacon of what could be at stake if you make drugs a dominate part of you life!

I have been a KISS fan for as long as they have been a band and have seen them 44 times in almost all combinations. I am a big fan of Ace and Peter BUT when they started to screw up with the booze and the drugs....they screwed up themselves and the fans as well as the band. Tommy has had a longer time with them on and off stage and has kept them going admirably. They deserve the recognition too. And if he hadn't died, Eric Carr would still be with them and most people would have forgotten about Peter.
I think KISS should have told the Hall of Fame to take a hike. I think KISS is too good too good to be in the hall of fame.

i think its a better badge of honor not to be in rather than be in cos of some of the joke that have already made it they should just call it the Music Hall of Fame cos aint much Rock in it anyway

How hard would it be for ALL past and present members of KISS to appear on stage and receive an award. Everyone contributed to the band either by playing or writing. And please honor the Dead (Eric and Mark). Will Gene and Paul's ego not allow this? If not, don't let them in. The fan's adore the band, not the ego's.
Just watched the H.O.F last night and ACE got the loudest cheers, don't believe me watch it!!!! Eric singer and Tommy Thayer can play their instruments but they can't create hits like Ace and Pee Tah!!! Stay in denial world if you want but when you see KISS now your only seeing KI....the two SS are gone
I just heard straight from a Paul Stanley interview last week....the ONLY ones getting inducted are: Paul, Gene, Ace, Peter, Jim Davenport and Eric Carr.
i just hope gene doesnt turn into an a-hole and try an decide which kiss line up should go in, whether he likes it or not Ace n peter are the most loved and missed even tho i liked eric carr it will never be kiss until all 4 origianal members are on stage its what the Majority of fans want.

***** Guys we all KISS fans realize that if Paul's voice gets even worse (I hope it won't) , that might be the end of KISS... His voice is more important... that voice was heard all over the world in 40 years... We all hope that KISS will rock forever (not possible, though), but reality is different... If KISS has to end, I would like it to end like it started: Ace, Gene, Peter and Paul. They should forget about the bad things that happened and make us the happiest fans on Earth for the 3rd time.
Marc Opie yeah but if Paul and/or Gene leave, they will break up KISS. There will be no KISS anymore. I think Paul should give some of his songs to Eric. Eric can sing high notes. He already sings some parts of the songs... So why not?

You cannot think of the 70s or 80s without KISS. No matter what you listen to. To even put a band like Nirvana up against KISS is not even logical. Its Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Grunge was not rock. They should make it Music before the 90s as is. Music since then has never been as good as the 50s - 80s. Music then was FUN, now it has to have a message or just plain crude. And I agree, Kiss of the 70's and 80's. not the new line ups. They didn't earn it..
tabitha, you made some good points. but the new lineup did earn it as they have been on board for quite a while now and help to make the show what it is. if you induct kiss then it has to be all of kiss, the total story because that is the reality of it.
they should just bring in ALL of the members of KISS that are still liven and have been in and out of KISS, I mean shit I know gene and paul had there far sher of dislikes with peter, ace and Vinnie for the most part but there still all part of KISS, they should just call all of them up: ace, peter, Vinnie, bruce, ALL of them and put on one great big show as always and go back to there own ways, I know im not going to see it but fuck it would be awesome, oh and for all of you that are listing all of the KISS members name, a lot of you keep on forgetting MARK ST FUCK JOHN!!!!!!! The Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame is about ego, politics and everything else that's wrong with the Human Race. KISS are the Ambassadors to everything that's wrong with Rock n' Roll. It will be a match made in Heaven when they get in. I'm surprised Gene and Paul haven't tried to buy it(maybe that's not possible). KISS is about MONEY, money and More Money. I still listen to Alive 1. Their studio work never impressed me.

Well, KISS will ALWAYS BE Ace,Peter,Gene,Paul,Eric Carr,and Bruce Kulick. Tommy Thayer is just a fill in with Ace's makeup and Eric Singer is just one sad dude who talks trash every chance he gets. So, I hope the 4 originals can get together and at least play some music just for once while they are ALL alive.

People seem to forget that this is the Hall of FAME. And whether you like them or not, there's no denying that Kiss was famous, and for a stretch of years, they were arguably the world's biggest draw.
This induction was seriously overdue.
I'm glad that there is a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but it irritates the hell out of me. It irritates everyone. It destroys the Fantasy that rock n roll is "revolution" or "art", and makes it clear that it's just another crass business run by the same cadre of folks who run everything else. Look, the HOF is NOT Rolling Stone magazine, it may be okay to lard up the List with R&B and Pop in that magazine, but not here.
The kind of stupid reality is that rock n roll became mostly Young White Male (like Baseball) after The Beatles, and they're trying to disguise that fact by shoveling in every R&B artist you can imagine plus a few women (who are also mostly R&B). Very politically correct, but it looks totally stupid and dishonest. It's a ROCK AND ROLL Hall of Fame, duh.
Snobbery is bad, but Slovenliness is worse. There is a Pop Hall of Fame, there is an R&B hall of fame, there is a Rap Hall of Fame, there is even a Folk hall of fame, Mr. Dylan. Half of those artists should be there, not here. If the business guys on the committee can't distinguish Genres, they should Resign. I'm a liberal, but Enough.

It was actually from last year (2013) when they announced Rush in the beginning of the ceremony.

Jeff Bear I just watched the actual video and when he mentions N.Y. he is referring to Public Enemy. The later audience reaction is because of Rush. I suspected it wasn't about the current induction because the clip looks edited also Wenner has always looked down on KISS. It resulted as a cool video though.
You know what..... After watching this Gene and Paul could've made a statement tonight and did not. How you could show the clips of KISS....went they were KISS and not have Ace and Peter up there about does it for me. All you new people who never saw THAT band have NEVER seen KISS !

Any band inducted will tell you it's a joke. Slash from Guns n Roses when inducted said it was a joke when asked, because of bands like Deep Purple being over looked.
I agree, so many bands already in that had a minor influence on rock n roll. love em or leave em, KISS made a huge influence in the lives of many fans, to include myself.

It's still insulting that Elton John (!) and Billy Joel (!!!) and about half of those worthless cats were let in before Kiss. And it took them forever to induct Alice Cooper. And Iggy Pop is still not there and Hall and Oates (!) are. What a sham. And if Danny Fields didn't intercede for them, The Ramones might still be waiting too. Oh, but Abba and all the people we hate breezed in. Sick.

Yes, all four guys have said and done bad things to each other in the past, and the slurring and acting out of anti-semitic comments and comedy routines (on Ace's behalf) were carried out. I could ALMOST sympathize with Gene and Paul on this because, you know, it's not right, even though it was the 70's, and the boys were probably trying to get Paul and Gene's goat (can you blame them?), notwithstanding the fact that EVERYBODY from different races threw slurs at each other all the time back then (The Jeffersons, anybody?). Now I am NOT anti-semitic, but I do have to state that Paul's comments and behaviour (see attached photo link!!!) REALLY hurt the decent and honest people who happen to be of Jewish descent, and their struggle in shaking off the negative sterootypes associated with them by demonstrating the EPITOME in hypocrisy, as well as many of the other negative traits that the majority of anti-semites accuse Jews in general of being guilty of (i.e greed, treachery, corruption, lying/hypocrisy, etc.....). In all honesty who the fuck cares about the rock and roll hall of fame the dropped the ball by not inducting KISS years ago and personally if it was my band being inducted i wouldn't really get exited about it i mean its full of rappers and hip hop artists hardly rock and roll. Nothing to get exited about. They don't determine whats good and whats not the fans do.
The rock hall will only induct the original members. So that like this video is a thing of beauty. I won't have to look at two fakes dressed up like two hard rock legends.
