Great interview, Sir Xavier! I truly wish the Philippines will allocate a larger budget for its Navy and Air Force. All these years of neglect had prompted China to brazenly steal our territory and openly challenge us. As you probably know, the Philippine military was the top gun in Asia back in the 50's and 60's. That title will be reclaimed once more by the Philippines. However, this reality may come later rather than sooner if our leaders play politics, fall to corruption and greed, and do not look at the bigger strategic picture and ensure the budgets of these services are not played around with. We can only dream of what we hope to acquire, but if we don't have the financial resources, well ... as the saying goes - "no money, no talk."
