  • In the spring of 1985, a real killer from Brooklyn burst onto the scene, one of the most gifted heavyweights in history, according to many boxing fans. He very quickly made his way through the entire division of heavyweights and knocked out everyone, one by one. The fighter possessed an excellent attack style, elusive speed and ruthless killer instinct, which has no equal to this day. Iron Mike Tyson. Today we will show you the most brutal and aggressive knockouts of the legendary Iron Mike.

    I met Mike at a book signing in NY, I said “I’d like to thank you champ, the only time I can remember my entire family gathering around a tv together was for one of your fights”, he said “that’s cool man” nonchalantly as he signed my book. then I said “ ya, it was the best 30 seconds of family time ever” and he about lost it 😂

      @@raulrodriguez5073 Definitely. Some fighters in this video, had no business in the ring, let alone with Tyson. Of course this is typical when a notable up and coming fighter gets going. The powers that be certainly want to arrange fights with favourable out comes.
      Tyson was awesome though. He could hurt with a body shot like almost no other. Most people don't mention it but he could bob and weave so well and always kept his hands where they should be! The fighters that leave an opening always got their bell rung.
      I still rank Ali in his prime as tops, but I was a big Tyson fan before he went of the rails.

Hell, even a 17 year old Tyson would beat Wilder at all stages of his career, regardless of what he added to his arsenal. Mike would bully him, shorten the distance, and his rifle useless....just Fury did. There are very few years in the last 100 years, where Wilder would have been able to claim the title. He could have beat Lion Spinks, or Primo Carnera, or Buster Douglas....not many others come to mind though. There hasn't been a legit heavyweight champ for nearly all of the 21st century....not since Lennox Lewis was done in 2003. Prime Mike Tyson destroys the prime of any other fighter in their prime. He wasn't even human for a stretch there.

    There is not enough I can say about Mike Tyson without getting emotional. Boxing has been my life for over 40 years and I simply love the sport like I love my own kids. I've witnessed some of the greatest Heavyweights ever in my lifetime and what I can say is that I've never seen any Heavyweight as unique as Mike Tyson. The world has never seen anyone like him before or after him. The speed, the ferociousness, the accuracy, the athleticism, the elusiveness......no one, no one matches Tyson.
    There's a reason why the world is still so fond of Tyson even to this day and there's a reason why he was the youngest Heavyweight champion ever - Mike Tyson was unique and personally, it was an honour and a pleasure to witness him in my lifetime. What a fighter, what a legend!!
    What I always implore his critics is, never judge Tyson's place in Heavyweight history on his post-prison career when 4 long years of inactivity destroyed the most wonderful fighting machine we've ever witnessed in our lifetime.

    When Mike had that spring-loaded, constant lateral head movement, he was unbeatable -- when he got older and heavier, and was just wading in looking to blast with a loaded-up hook, bigger men could use their size. But in his prime, you just could not find your range with that guy, and he put those hook and uppercut combos together with vicious, alien demon-robot precision.
    How dare they challenged him with their somewhat primitive skills, indeed. They were just as good as dead.

    In retrospect we can all really see and witness how truly great of a boxer Tyson was. People used to say back in the day that he was just a puncher and he fought a bunch of bums. He fought guys that were way bigger and heavier than him. He was a small heavyweight, his speed power and boxing style could not be challenged. He is in my mind the best ever!!

      In retrospect he never had a big career defining victory. He cleared out an aging middle of the road division of the late 80's and is a top 10 to 15 all time heavy weight. He isn't the best and he isn't top 5. Mike needed a big win against another great fighter close to their prime. His career defining victories are over Spinks and an older Larry Holmes. Not enough. That's really the retrospective on Mike. He sure was exciting though.

      @DoggieNYC 4 года назад +1

      @@thechad3239 But I do agree an 85 to 88 Tyson was capable of beating any HW ever, I just have my doubts on whether he would have or not. Does he beat Ali, Joe Frazier, Foreman ? These are all great great fighters. Tyson never got in the ring against fighters of that ilk and when he did, he lost. It's all speculation so we can only go on what he did accomplish and the defining victory of his prime years was vs Michael Spinks.

      Yep, that's when Don King moved in and poisoned his mind and fucked up his training and coaching. After that he basically stopped boxing and tried to rush straight in on everyone which didn't work out well. He should have stuck with Kevin Rooney, he would have had another good 5 years of dominance if he did.
