      We fell in love with it! The camp hosts were amazing, and have been hosting for many years. And there are lake views from most every site in the park. We will definitely be visiting again :)

    Thanks for the campground tour. I love that it appears the sites are spaced pretty far apart. That's what we desire when we visit any campground.

      Hello, Frank! It is a beautiful campground! We visited Bond Falls the next morning...and heard about the Paulding Light in Paulding after it was too late. We didn't have time to stay another night to try to see it :) I bet the bike rides were awesome! So much to see on those country roads :)

    I love me some state park camping. This looks like a really nice place and cool you got to meet up with some friends. We have made many friends in the campgrounds. Funny how that happens a lot. lol Thank you for the great tour. Y'all have been all over Michigan. I can't wait to get back up there at some point. Seeing parks like this is why state park camping is the best way to go. Thanks for sharing with us. LOL on the 45 min to say it.

      Hey, William! RUclips has turned us into social butterflies. Lol We love the people we have become familiar with on here, and we have tried to introduce ourselves more to our campground neighbors :) We do love some State Park camping! Scotty had me cracking up trying to say Lake Gogebic! Haha

      It had been a little cloudy all day, and as we pulled in to camp the sun came out and made the changing leaf colors pop! Scotty said, We have to get this now. So we parked Big Tow and started our walk thru...it turned out really nice :) We had plenty of time to set up camp after. Lol

    Best to ya's!

      This park is so gorgeous! All of our other adventure plans got postponed or cancelled during this work vacation. But we knew the UP would be perfect, even if we had to boondock in the van. It was a great trip. I hope y'all can make it back up North next year :) There are tent sites. You could put a tent up in any site if you choose to, but most tents were along the back row farthest from the lake. Water and electric. They are not waterfront, but you still have lake views.

    Say that 3 times🤣 Man I would've butchered that lake name lol. Interesting that the site numbers are on the ground instead of on the traditional stakes. Love that campground it is beautiful! Also loved that they have separate rooms for showers and bathrooms. The boat launch area looks super easy to access and was blown away at how clean the campground was. Man we need to get to Michigan soon! Seeing the trees turn colors was gorgeous too!

    I can't get over how beautiful that blue sky is with the tree's as the backdrop! Was this a recent trip? Trying to figure out when to visit Michigan and having a hard time between Fall and Summer. The park is so big too!

    • @SL_BA
      @SL_BA  4 года назад +1

      Yes, it is recent. We did 10 days in the UP in September. Starting at Whitefish Point on the East side, we explored all the way to Lake Gogebic on the West side. I did not want to leave. Lol We were right on the leading edge of fall color. As much as you love to swim I would say summer :) BUT, the color change in the UP is one you will never forget. Not much help, am I? Lol

      Hello, Megan! We were only there for one night, and we didn't leave the campground. But, we had friends who camped the whole week, and they didn't mention anything about having issues with security. I hope you have a great time camping at Lake Gogebic!
