Mount LeConte and Downtown Gatlinburg in Tennessee

We climbed Mt. LeConte for the second time in June 2024. It was a group of 10 of us! The hike was amazing as always, and the company was even better. I only captured short parts of the hike so it is mostly beautiful video. Lol But after we got back to the campground we jumped on the free Gatlinburg Trolley and spent the evening walking around Gatlinburg.

We bumped a tree limb on the road into Gatlinburg, TN and lost half of our awning motor cover. The hardest part of the whole process was tracking down the correct cover to fit over the motor end. Warren Dunes State Park provides 1,952 acres of recreational opportunities along the beautiful shore of Lake Michigan. Its rugged dune formation, rising 260 feet above the lake, offers spectacular views and is excellent for hang gliding (permit is required). The park is home to 3 miles of shoreline, 6 miles of hiking trails and two popular campgrounds.

We went to Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg in September with a plan to continue on to Nashville. Unfortunately, my recent back injury caused us to turn and run home after Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg. We enjoyed our time in the Smokeys, but was disappointed that we didn't get to see Nashville. We loved that area.
I have the same trailer but newer I'm guessing. Deferent stove,sink,radio, but the same with everything else, you gave me some good ideas I can do to mine like the pillow top on the bed, the blue tooth rear cam, and the perfect place to hang a full size broom and dust pan and I'm going to add a mop. Thank you for the ideas. 👍🙏😃
Camped Virgin falls several times WAY BACK in early 2000’s when it was just considered a logging trail…. There is a spot on a rock ledge underneath the main waterfall with a man sized hole that you can throw a rock into and you will not hear it hit a bottom….. it’s a beautiful camping spot… highly recommended for a solo hike on a free weekend …. There’s normally a party group .. but have never come across anyone that is disrespectful or too loud after dark
My wife and I hiked there a few years ago, we were in our 60's, it was a tough hike. The hike back out is no joke, it's like 2 miles of uphill hiking and you are already tired. There was more water in the creek that you have to cross when we went, we almost turned back, we were glad we didn't. Well done and good video of it.
Nothing like climbing mountains in the back of a pickup truck!! We love their trolley system! We will not make it to Gatlinburg this fall and I am quite sad. I hope you are both well!

We went in August 2024, and they have temporarily removed the bridge for repair. Only my oldest remembers going across the bridge when she was 5 or 6.
Is there a playground at all? I have kids and was looking into this park but no playground would be a bummer

What kind of water pump did you use? Sump pump? Did you dedicate to an outlet? I’m just curious how much power is needed. I have a big display so need to know if I can power everything together
Amazon sells 550 gal per minute pump it's like 25 bucks
Scotty ordered all of the parts needed to make it awesome, but I found the link to the pump he used. 550 GPH seems pretty robust...my sump isn't even rated that high and gets pretty decent flow out of a 100' 1/2" hose. This is only going through maybe 5 feet of hose. Did you figure out anything OP?

I would rate it as easy. It is about 3 miles roundtrip from the parking area. All Trails rates it as relatively easy.

This park reminds me of the parks near ocean beaches with the sand. I don't mind water & sewer only hook ups since I bought a tank caddy that prevents me from having to hitch up the camper to hit the dump station. We loved our time in Michigan and look forward to going back in the near future. Nice review.

Any reason that you didn't remove all the bulky interior plastics including AC ducts overhead to create a larger space for a van build? It could be reinstalled if the need arises.

Lake Michigan looks like the ocean with the waves and the sand. Watching your videos makes we want to plan another trip out to Michigan. I think on my next trip I would go up the U.P. and then down through Wisconsin. Such an underrated area. PS. That sunset shot should be part of your channel intro. Nice job.

Boy does that water look fishy. You need to carry a Popiel pocket fisherman on those kayaks. This looks great.
You have no idea of the quantity and size of the fish here. My cousin caught a shovelbill catfish there over 130 pounds. I have also seen many gar over 6 feet long. We used to bowfish there.
Is St.Andrew Beach pet friendly.?
We did not have a pet. But if I remember correctly other pets were at the campground, but not allowed on the beach.
