@@ml9867 Yes; I ❤ Richard E. Roeper, too❣️ ~ American columnist, and film critic, for the Chicago Sun-Times. Co-hosted 📺 series "At the Movies", with Roger Ebert, from 2000 to 2008.
I enjoyed The Three Amigos, but I love that Roger had no problem sticking to his guns, even with Chevy sitting right behind him. I value that in a film critic, and I loved these guys. I don't think we'll ever have anyone like them again.
There was a certain appeal and atmosphere to this old talk show that you don’t see anywhere anymore. I work with customers in retail and the Baby Boomers I work with have talked about how they would stay up at night and watch Johnny Carson when they were going to college. It is something that my generation (Millennial) has a hard time grasping, because we were raised with Nickelodeon and cable. While I don’t share any nostalgia with this show nor the era it was around, it is very sad to see how good these old people were. What we have today is an embarrassment, which is why I primarily look to Japan for my entertainment.
When critics hate a movie, it's usually a good film. When they love movie it's usually a bad film. Three Amigos is a classic comedy despite what these critics think.
So sad. Both critics, Johnny, and Ed all gone. 🥺🥺😭😭 (Is it me or does Johnny genuinely seemed miffed during this episode?) And do I ever miss Johnny and this show; I grew up with it all throughout the '70s & '80s. I actually cried when he retired and had his last show in 1992.
If Ebert dislikes a film, odds are high it's an interesting, future classic with staying power. How can you watch the "plethora" scene, or even just the line "It's a Sweater!" without...... sigh. ...This guy, ...is not my kind of guy.
A Critic is a person who creates nothing, and there-by feels qualified to judge the work of creative men , there is logic in this , he is unbiased, he hates all creative people equally...
It would have been far more interesting to see Messieurs Siskel and Ebert perform an impersonation of Chevy Chase, which would have made it one of the very few instances where Chase could have ever been described as being genuine, or funny.
Wonderful seeing these three together.
Fletch is good, but family vacation is a classic, especially Christmas Vacation that I watch every year
I loved Chevy Chase in the 80s.
He's great.
Brings back great memories of a different time. These guys were the original "rotten tomatoes ".
Fletch and Vacation will always be a tie for me. Both awesome films!
Three amigos is a great movie.
My little buttercup 😂
It's so funny three amigos. The family vacations are still moving along strong!
Love Chevy!!
We lost Bob Newhart today. He made a lot of appearances on the Tonight Show.
I love the Three Amegos, and they were wrong, LOL
It's so sad that 80 percent of these guys have passed away.
100% of people do this. Are you a fuqtard?
Yes, true.
Also sad that there is no late night talent like this anymore.
Not sad at all. You were blessed to be part of that era! Nothing lasts forever.
It's unfortunate that Chevy Chase happens to be the survivor.
❤😂🎉 Fab!
This clips reminds me how we'll never know a movie critic by name again...
@@kasumiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin I liked Roper when he joined Ebert.

Went the way of the newspaper and the Bible
Siskel was handsome., talented and a comedy genius. His face should be on Mount Rushmore! Awesome!
Thumbs UP
Chase left snl in 1977 hes worth 50 million. Murphy left in 1984 and worth 150 million. Two greats. Carson was the greatest though
The Two Amigos starring Siskel & Ebert is a fantastic film and was nominated for Best Picture 1988
I believe the movie that Ebert says is also good at 1:25 is Foul play.
I watched "Bananas" and thought then that it was the last Woody Allen movie I was ever going to watch.

Deal Of The Century with Chevy, Signorney Weaver and Gregory Hines is an amazing film.
Amazingly bad
@@steveconn you're entitled to your opinion.
Three Amigos was hilarious
Back when late night shows were funny!
I actually thought 3 Amigos was a great film with Chevy Chase and Steve Martin, and very funny. Can't please everyone!
It's a classic!
Chase was funny.

Chevy Cjase is definite into his personal space.
Watch the spelling of Chevy's it counts.

The original Beavis and Butthead
Three Amigos has a poor rating on Rotton Tomatoes and IMBD. But my brother-in-law likes it.
Stopped watching when Carson retired
Three Amigos is reaching cult classic status .
Chevy Chase was always good at being a Jack ass .

Jeez, maybe if Ebert jumped on his health like he does with his opinions maybe people would of remembered him
Are all tv show stars have mobile homes/dressing rooms outside of the building they are working in and not inside of the building? If so, why
I watched the original SNL, 1st 5 yrs or so. Y’all missed some wild comedy, brilliant, goofy, silly-it was great.
SNL went downhill quickly.
The worst of SCTV was still better than the best of SNL.
In the sickle lost his mouth.
Hilarious... back when people were real.
4 of the 5 gone

I cannot stand the arrogance of Chevy Chase
Meanwhile, The Three Amigos and The Golden Child are classics, while Little Shop of Horrors is a footnote.
whhhhhat? No.
Make up your own minds. If you like to see a movie then go if you don’t, then don’t go see it. It’s not rocket science, it’s entertainment!
Chevy could be an ass and you couldn't tell if he was serious or not.
😂
Too bad Chevy wound up being a douche and ran out of funny.
Got old
That happened quite early in his "career".
But where would we be without a douche?
Chevy, very rude.
Chevy was doing his schtick from SNL days ~ humorous, at the time.
Not this time, watch it again
Finally im first !
