This was a little annoying hearing both women overlap their talking. It was stressful hearing them chatter back and forth. However, the real problem is her inability to be assertive, which seems to be affecting her parenting (i.e. kids that are "naughty"). These techniques are useful but they do not go to the root of the problem.
I think this is somehow a sort of assertiveness training. Its a a specific application of classical conditioning that targets clients anxiety, somewhat an exposure to the clients of the situation so they can learn from it
