in the sims 3 i once only did what my sim wished for and he was the happiest sim i ever had and i was shocked
in the sims 4 they just kept asking for beeboxes
or a 1x1 pool
or to have a water balloon fight lol
At some point, the Sims 4 devs stopped bothering to create new whims so they're limited and somewhat randomly based on what a given pack offered (including new items), plus unfortunately some of the whims are broken and have never been fixed. The Sim's age and to some extent their personality, skills, and relationships impact their options but it's a lot less customized and tailored towards making your Sim live their dreams than the wishes of Sims 2 and Sims 3.

When I was in college I was working in restaurant where the servers had to wear 50s themed costumes. Every year the town would have a pub crawl scavenger hunt where you would have to take pictures with different types of people. Every year us servers made the list, stupid costumes. Very strange to have groups of drunk strangers running into your restaurant to take your picture. Mortimer, Victor and Bjorn I feel your pain 😂🤣
That actually sounds like a lot of fun. I live in a dry county though, no bars and can't purchase alcohol in the stores. If I want to go to a bar or buy alcohol I have to travel to the next county over.

I feel that way every time I move a window over in the Sims. You want a nice dresser, but it doesn't fit between the windows properly? Just move the window! Problem solved.

My favorite way to play Sims 2 has always been to drop a Fortune sim in an empty lot with a box house and basically just follow their wants to the letter. They don't get a bed or a couch or anything until they want to buy one. Sometimes they get a dishwasher before they get a bed. It goes especially well when they don't want a job right away, or the first job they want doesn't come up for several days.
Vampires still visit. They added an option to the Sims front door to "disallow vampires" if you don't want them attacking your Sims in the night 🧛♂️
He didn't disallow it so that's why he came for quick drink.
I wish it was disallowed by default and you could enable it if you wanted it. I hate having to do it every single time I play in a new house
It also won’t happen if anyone in the household is awake during the specific hours it can occur during.

I know James already has a few series going but I would actually love to see more of this 😂 It was so funny to watch how random his days went. Also he and Knox definitely seem kind of cozy together so he's on his way to a relationship already 🤣

I thought this would be a video where James’ Sim tells real James what to do based on autonomous choices and actions in the game (ie Sim James makes pancakes, then Real James has to make pancakes. Sim James takes a nap, Real James takes a nap)

You should do the challenge where you spend 24 hours in real life doing exactly what your Sim does autonomously.

Whims, James. They're called Whims. And they do lead you down some strange rabbits holes sometimes, don't they? XD Lots of fun though -- and huh! Yeah, I thought the midnight visits were gone too. Maybe it's something special only Vlad can do now?
this was fun! you could do a series of these using a random number generator for the create a story. This one had a lot of "become angry" because of the mean aspiration, and then your photography scavenger hunt started when he took a photo with beuan to become friends faster. Those whim loops from skills and traits will be different for each sim.
Want to get something you can't afford or don't own, such as a bike, James? Shift click on the item and select "Set as Head", go to your lot and reset your sim, then drag the item to your inventory and bam, you got a free bike. I literally had to do this with *HOMEWORK* of all things, better that than buying a new Homework book tbh, especially if it's a Rags to Riches save or if you don't have enough money in the game and don't want to use cheats
Technically Set As Head is considered a cheat, but it's such a mild 1 that I guess it doesn't really count
I've found if you get it to your lot, go into build mode and put it in household inventory, that works too.
The team have not added whims for years.
New whims would be cool, or an overhaul "wishful thinking" love whims

The vampires can let themselves in unless on the door you disable trespassing for vampires. Also, Kelsey has a new 100 BAES challenge. Much less crying than the 100 Baby challenge.
When you live alone there is a chance Vlad will come and drink. That has always been a thing its not a glitch lol
The glitch used to be that it happened waaaay too often
Vlad came and munched on my male sim once while his pregnant wife was sleeping in the bed next to him. Every sim in the house just needs to be asleep.

i believe when whims tell u to take a photo with someone, its usually suggesting someone in the area. If you open your phone and select 'Take photo with...' the pop-up menu would have random sims who are near you, like Victor, he was probably already in the area.
Whims are so abandoned that James call them Moodlets
this is slightly how I play actually! I love whatever naturally occurs and have that be the story for my gameplay.

I picked that house on one of my save games and Vlad did the same thing to me. I think it's a lot trait or lot challenge, can't remember which. Anyway, loved it and can't wait for the next one!!

In which a crazy old spellcaster goes around SimEarth (and Batuu) randomly picking fights or taking pictures of random Sims, sometimes one right after the other. "THANK YOU FOR COMING TO MY HOME!" (starts a fight)
This is how I always played Sims 3. The wants related far more to the Sims personalities though, which is why I did it along with letting them choose their actions. Somehow I ended up with couples that took every opportunity to get it on. I had a lovely family, wife was a fairy, human husband at their toddler’s birthday party. She held the kid up to blow out the candles, their eyes met, and she put the toddler down to age up unsupervised while she and hubby went off to make kiddo number 3. Didn’t seem to matter which mix of genders, occults, whatever. They all opted for a solid, loving, LOVING, relationship. Surprised me with it being autonomous, but also kinda sweet.
The satisfied chuckle after stealing the bike. 🤣

You can also lock the door and Vampires can't get in that way. That works for front doors or you could do it as simple as the bedroom door where your Sims are sleeping. I knew the front door lock works but I was curious to see what would happen if I left the front door unlocked and locked the bedroom door (I set it for household members only) where my two sims were sleeping. Vlad got into my living room but couldn't make it inside the bedroom so he just stood there for an hour being creepy and then left. This happened in my save last night. No bitten Sims.

Fun video!! Just an FYI, vampires (and other annoyances" can be locked out by setting the no trespassing feature on the door. If you don't have that set, your door is basically unlocked.
