Like everyone else, I can't thank you enough. My husband and I are old and we felt like we were now insane. We thought we had tried everything! Then I listened to your short and simple video and 'ta da' desktop was back! Thank you so much, you fixed us too.
No kidding. I always use browser windows in 'reduced size' (not full screen), so when I couldn't adjust the size, I had no idea what was wrong. And Zoom wouldn't work properly, either!! That was the *real* headache.

I was nearly pulling my hair out!🤷🏾♀️ looking for help pages these past several days to try and remedy this issue, couldn't figure out why my desktop was suddenly covered up with tiles!..I DO use tablet mode to navigate around on my laptop - but I didn't change that particular setting at all. it was a very frustrating situation..then I realized, when you mentioned updates, that it did, indeed, change to tablet mode *right after* a recent auto update.😣 much gratitude, because I was becoming rather irritated & grouchy over that bit of added stress + a bit of insomnia that was happening anyway was NOT helping...now I feel a thousand times lighter..sooooo, for you: another thumbs up👍🌈 to add to the pile for the video + you definitely have a new subscriber!👸🏾🙂🧞♀️☮💫☯

It didn't worked for me the way you described it (Could be because of the region) however I got a nice idea that the solution was on the "additional tablet configuration" that is not even displayed like the rest of options, pitiful to see Microsoft forcing modes just so their number of users "using" (whatever) goes up, but seriously thank you so much, I am currently without a Technician and it was infuriating me to deal with such an unpractical desktop.
Thanks, I also tried a fix on the registry that didn't work either. But I remembered that I set a System Restore date on June 30th, so I did a restore and its fine now. Thought you might like to know in case anyone else runs into a roadblock like I did.
