I will never believe that Michael brown has never seen sid Roths show. From a pure common sense angle it doesn’t add up. They’re best friends, and he’s never watched his show?
Also… Michael brown has hosted the show… so you mean to tell us that he just showed up not knowing how the show works and went on and hosted? Nonsense

He is not genuine, and it is sad. I am not like Peters, but I really support his point with all of the people he brings light to. They are all selling a false Jesus, a false God. It is like the prosperity gospel. If we read the Bible, we know that's nonsense. God blesses us, but we will always lack something. Either way, something is very wrong with the charismatic church. Sad, sad.

@orangeandslinky you are right. Maybe he doesn't want it to call his friend a false teacher of the world. He thinks what he is doing is justified because he is a preacher for Jewish people. Even though the Bible says to preach no matter what, not confronting Roth is not good. Paul confronted Peter, for goodness sake. If we are to lose a friend but not the joke, how much more than rebuking a friend that is not doing right? Oh, I take it to me as well.

@@laurenmay2098 I'm 71, Mike was around when I was in the Jesus movement. I was a charismatic for 20 years. It was new back then. We all were told"God is doing a NEW thing." So we all joined a FULL GOSPEL church instead of that partial gospel church that everyone else went to for 5,000 years. We were called Jesus freaks back then. It wasn't a bad phrase to the other hippies. There are lots of ex Charismatics now, but it looks like they will still win the day on earth. I can speak in unknown tongues and all that crap. I was a kid, I believed the adults in the room and those that were called Reverend. I do wonder if Martin Luther said those super ungodly things or not. As a monk, he might have said that stuff, and grew out of it. Justin and his friend said, " sure we would label Martin a haritic if he said and did those things." That shut Mike up fast. lol

Personally, I found his RUclips confession believable (and sad). I have mixed feelings about Michael Brown's ministry in general, but I think that if we knew all the sins of all the teachers that are of a similar severity to Michael's sins, many men with beneficial ministries would be implicated. And I think there are a lot of pastors who would have fallen into similar sins except for the grace of God. Personally, I wouldn't feel comfortable rejecting his work on that basis (though there are myriad other "men of God" whose work I would reject).

It is truly bizarre to think that Jesus used a wind instrument so prized by the sinful world. A harp or trumpet would be much more likely. But what bothers me more about this image of Jesus is his long hippie hair. That would be against his own words in 1 Cor. 11:14. No, Jesus wore short hair because he inspired our apostle as he himself thought. Women should wear long hair, but never Jesus and the men who obey him! This hippie Jesus is a Catholic creation derived from famous paintings in the Vatican.

There has been far long enough history behind us. We're done "evaluating" Sid. The looney toons on Sid's show are the result of intentional choices of him and his vetting team, not mistakes that somehow got through. The complete, total failure rate of the vetting group should justify firing all of them. And removing Sid's show from broadcast.

    • @hiltonchapman4844
      @hiltonchapman4844 16 дней назад

Speaking from complete neutrality (I am not protestant (hmmm)) my point is this - Sid Roth appears to be focussing on the popularity of his show... and his show sells ONLY because he brings on all the sensational ppl who tell these angel fairy tales - like backing and forthing between earth and heaven, and having personal one-on-one encounters with God Jesus Christ in person - and the audience lap it up sheerly because it is so bizarre.
So the Sid Roth Show is definitely nowhere near the bare minimum (expected) standard for a Christian broadcast.
Bad taste, bad taste. In fact no self-respecting Christian (much less a pastor - I take it that Sid Roth does have a pastoral position?) should ever host or produce such a show that portrays such a blatantly tawdry picture of Christ and Christianity.
The big question is - OK, we can see how Sid Roth's Show cannot be called a healthy Christian show imparting solid Christian morality to the audience and viewers and participants BUT - but does that mean that Sid Roth is a FALSE teacher?
I have to say that just on the evidence presented by Justin Peters and his associate it would be beyond judicious to call Roth a false teacher.
A BAD teacher yes, but a FALSE teacher???? I think we lack the necessary evidence for that.
BUT the resistance that these two (Brown and his associate) put up to calling Roth a false teacher is itself proof that they strongly support Roth. So debating the question with them will always be fruitless.
These crazeeee pastors of the Roth ilk must be reined in. They give Christianity a bad name.

If Michael Brown seriously thinks that Sid Roth is a brother, then Michael Brown is not biblically qualified to be an elder. Titus 1 lists qualifications for elders, and one of them is being able to refute those who contradict sound doctrine. Roth teaches false doctrine; Brown doesn't rebuke or correct him. Neither of them is qualified to be a teacher in Christ's body.

FWIW, I've read the article about the accusations made, I've read the LoF Board statement, and I've read Brown's statement. I'm included to believe EXACTLY what he said. That he exercised poor judgment, treated someone as a family member that wasn't, and that there was NO sexual inappropriate behavior whatsoever.
Now, I'm curious. If it is found to be that the woman who brought the accusation turns out to have brought false accusations and false witness are you gonna be so quick to come on here and report that news? Will you support her receiving whatever punishment she was seeking for Brown? Because that's what Scripture says should happen.

We need more preachers who, like Jesus, are unafraid to stand boldly for righteousness and drive out the modern-day 'money changers' from the church, those who exploit God's house for personal gain. Just as Christ drove out all those who were selling and buying on the temple grounds, cleansing it with zeal, we need leaders with the courage to protect the sanctity of worship and restore the church to its true purpose: glorifying God and serving His people.

The fact that Michael Brown ask Jim Osman and Justin Peters the question; "how do you know?", give him away as validating the nonsense that happens on Sid Roth's program. To qualify Sid Roth's TV program as a ministry is really a stretch. I consider my faith in Jesus Christ a far greater belief than Sid Roth's program and I can say with absolute authority that I have never seen Jesus in the flesh. I can say I have seen and admire the handiwork of what God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and God the Holy Spirit throughout my life and throughout time and it is magnificent, it is wonderful and it is greatly to be praised.
Michael Brown and Sam Storms appear to trying to defend the indefensible and are playing the "believe me" card because I have a degree from some seminary. I know it still works on those who prefer to remain blind and keep their ears from hearing, but by the grace and mercy of our LORD Jesus Christ, I am not one of them. Not anymore.

Generally I agree with you. But as a Reformed type who has spent most Saturday nights over the last 3 years having fellowship with Charismatics, I think it is possible that Michael Brown is being as honest as he can be. There are layers upon layers of confusion within Charismatic/Pentecostal/Word of Faith circles, in part because most of those in these circles are more emotionally oriented, rather than being intellectually oriented. The various "men of God" who are admired by them are often "deceiving and being deceived" (2 Tim 3:13), but the typical charismatic can't see the deception because they are immersed in chaos and confusion, and because they typically aren't people with the intellectual acumen to see through the deceptions.
Michael Brown strikes me as someone who is trying to be honest without abandoning the charismatic camp entirely, which would require him to "throw the baby out with the bathwater", at least in his mind.
I think Sid Roth's show is patently ridiculous, and Michael Brown's hesitancy to reject "saxophone Jesus" is frustrating. But having spent 3 years with genuine, sold-out believers who think this way, I can see why people like Brown don't see things the way that we do.

Acts 16:9-10 "And a vision appeared to Paul in the night...",
    Acts 10:3-6 "Cornelius...saw in a vision...."
Acts 10:10-15 "Peter...fell into a trance, and saw heaven opened...."
Acts 7:55-56 Stephen, "....saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God"
Revelation 1:10-18 John's vision of Jesus
Revelation 4:1-2 John was taken to heaven and saw a (singular, not three!) throne and One (singular, not 3) sat on the (singular, not 3) throne"
Matthew 17:1-7 the Transfiguration of Christ as seen by Peter, James, and John
And there's a ton of stuff in the Old Testament, like Jacob's ladder in Genesis 28. Fact is, The scripture itself, is loaded with supernatural experiences, not just mere words. The supernatural experiences were communicated to us via words, there are not just words for word's sake, they're not rhetorical, they're substantive. Jesus said "the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life", John 6:63.

      I'm not a cessationist but I agree with Justin Peters here. Just because a story is "supernatural' doesn't make it from God. Scripture says;
1 John 4:1 (NET) "Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to determine if they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world."
As a former member of the charismatic movement, I can testify that very little testing of the spirit was done for many years and decades. And absolutely none was done for Sid Roth's show. The difference between the supernatural stories in Scripture and stories on Sid Roth is the effect. Who gets glorified? Man or God? Does it make one repent of sin and believe the Gospel? Does it make one closer to God? Or does it fascinate and tickle the ears for more 'show and tell' stories? Does it exalt the story teller in the eyes of the hearer, or make them seem esp "blessed" by God? Sell books?
Demons are supernatural too! They can display occult and psychic power and come up with "new" doctrine, which is why the Apostle Paul spoke of:
      1 Timothy 4:1-2 (NET)
"Now the Spirit explicitly says that in the later times some will desert the faith and occupy themselves with deceiving spirits and demonic teachings,
influenced by the hypocrisy of liars whose consciences are seared."

11:32 This is really the only issue that needs to be discussed. if you are a cessationist, then all prophets today are false prophets. Your theology demands that you classify them as such. All other discussions are pointless. if you're a continuationist, then you have to take each incident of the prophetic on a case by case basis and verify each individually.

A Little Leaven Leavens the Whole Lump
The phrase “a little leaven leavens the whole lump” (Galatians 5:9) is a biblical metaphor that highlights the significant impact of small, seemingly insignificant influences. In this context, “leaven” refers to yeast, a tiny substance that, when added to dough, can ferment and cause the entire batch to rise.
This analogy is used to caution against the corrupting influence of sin and false teachings within a community. Just as a small amount of yeast can spread throughout the dough, affecting its entire composition, a little sin or heresy can quickly spread and corrupt the entire church.
      Key Insights
Small beginnings, significant consequences: The phrase emphasizes that even tiny, seemingly insignificant influences can have far-reaching and devastating effects.
Infectious nature of sin: Just as yeast can spread rapidly through dough, sin can quickly spread and infect others within a community.
Importance of vigilance: The passage urges believers to be aware of and actively resist the corrupting influence of sin, just as one would remove leaven from their homes during the Jewish Feast of Unleavened Bread (Exodus 12:15).
Need for purification: The metaphor suggests that believers must continually purge themselves of sin and false teachings, just as unleavened bread is made without yeast, to maintain a pure and holy community.
      Illustrations
A single drop of poison can contaminate an entire water supply.
A small spark can ignite a massive fire.
A single bad apple can spoil an entire basket.
      Conclusion
The phrase “a little leaven leavens the whole lump” serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of vigilance and purity in the Christian community. It emphasizes the need to recognize and resist the corrupting influence of sin and false teachings, and to continually purify ourselves and our communities, just as unleavened bread is made without yeast.

Sid Roth is a SHOW. He needs provocative guests to make a splash, because that's what people want to tickle their ears. He also makes people's ministries successful and many of these folks become quite wealthy, because he is a promoter. PERIOD. It's a business and certainly he gets a kick back. Zadai has learned from his example; Kevin hired one of the most sought after Christian book editors and is cornering the market on Christian publishing. Kevin's ministry has become quite lucrative. He used to be humble, but now he's flaunting it $$ It's pretty depressing.

  • @freedom4life312
    @freedom4life312 16 дней назад +2

Sid Roth needs to repent. I believe he still needs Salvation. There are plenty of red flags that go up simply by how he speaks, and even regarding many of the guests he invites. As Christians, we are told to TEST EVERY SPIRIT, and from the videos I watched of him and others tele-evangelists, if you actually pause at every thing they say, and rewind...beneath all the "amens", "amazing!" Statements, there's a different message going on. A friend of mine sent me a video of the prophetess movement on a tele-evangelist show, and Iovengly told her that we should sit together and watch the video together pausing and hearing whats going on under all the fast talk...and she didnt want to do it.😔 She kept on putting her trust on these so called "phrophets" because she claims they have said things that to pass🙄, but I told her, that if she readsthe bible...the bible spoke about those things first...so it's not really coming from them, but from the bible. But that's the thing, these miracle healers and prophetess look to gain the support from those who don't know the bible but yet say they love God.😔 I agree with Dr. Brown in many ways because I too have heard the Lorr speak and encountered undeliable miracles, but the dangers that I find in the Charasmatic church is that because of a few peoples miracle...now everyone at that church is all of a sudden seeking for signs and desiring to have gifts that perhaps they have not been gifted with. The danger with that is that satan now we got people who are seeking for God's blessings, who are not yet saved😔 are start seeking after the wrong things! Satan sees an opportunity to jump in and gives them "signs" of his own and sends unclean spirits to work through them.😔 This is why it's dangerous for those are new and have not yet been born again to seek for gifts and signs. The most important thing in life is for us to be born again of the Holy Spirit...and everything else will be added to us according to God's grace. We are NOT all gifted the same way, and hence trying to "manifest" or "learn" about gift of healing is useless. God is the only who who has the power to give us gifts. 👈

Jesus had finished HIS Word, work and it is done. The understanding of the scriptures will be illuminate by the Holy Spirit and sanctify an understanding of scriptures. I do NOT believe such claims by anyone even if it is KING who said such things. The world has become more continuedly wicked and iniquity. 10:01--- Yes, God does speak through His Word to tell ppl that He's against things that has happened to them but He also Loves us and for those who aren't scoffing at His Intimacy, He will engage with us on a very personal level. God obviously can't do that with those who choose to scoff at Him, He doesn't owe you anything and God isn't going to beg you to let Him come that close! You're the one missing out but what you'll never be able to do, scoff with all your heart, is convince someone who has been that intimate with The Lord, that it didn't happen! Sorry. Also, has anyone else noticed that when people who don't believe in certain levels of intimacy, when they are telling a story about something they don't believe they always have to add in their own personal little scoffing rant. That little scoffing rant coming out of their heart proves that there's an issue in their own heart. For instance when Justin was about to talk about something that happened with Kevin zadai, he couldn't just say what happened he had to add in his own little scoffing rant mocking and belittling how Kevin zadai put some people together to act it out. Why can't you just simply State what happened why do you have to put your own little ugly heart in it and try to add the negative? I'm just saying if you listen to Justin Peters he definitely has some unbelief and bitterness or anger or something that's causing him to speak things that expose his heart! Makes him sound immature too. I like Justin but he definitely has some Error in his own Doctrine. But this is going to be a big wow moment because I had a vision about 6 months ago that Justin Peters made a video where he was apologizing for scoffing at those who have dreams and visions and he was apologizing for scoffing at the idea that the gifts are still in operation today including speaking in tongues. I had that vision about 6 months ago and you guys can mark that down and we will wait and see when Justin repents publicly and makes a video about it. The vision I had was watching the actual video when Justin Peters repented and the fact that he still believes the old way proves that it has to be a vision of a future event! It's Dec 15, 2024. I don't know when he will repent but like I said I had a vision and I've already seen the video of him doing it. He repents of all of his false teaching whereby he accuses True Believers of being false because they believe on a level that he doesn't. So we now wait to see if my vision comes true.

Nobody has their doctrine and theology perfect except Jesus, the Father, and the Holy Spirit. I know this - my Dad was saved right before he died watching a Sid Roth show of all things. I myself had turned away from the Lord at the time. Long story short, Sid Roth will always have a dear and special place in my heart because years later when I realised the Bible was true and Jesus is indeed the only way to heaven, the fear over the destiny of my father followed by the peace and gratitude in remembering that he had accepted Jesus and believed the gospel was worth everything to me. If he (contributed to) saved no other person by his efforts in his whole life, for me personally, and I'm sure for Jesus also, it was all worth it, and everything else is forgiven.
