Trek to Sadasiva Kona waterfalls complete guide | The URL

Sadasiva Kona is one of the heavenly places for trekkers and nature lovers.
Sadasiva Kona is situated 130 km far from Chennai approximately. There are two routes to reach Sadasiva Kona.
Route 1: Chennai - Ambattur - Thiruvallur - Thiruthani - Puttur Junction in the Tirupati route.
Route 2: Chennai - Madavaram - Puzhal - Periyapaliyam - Uthukotai - Puttur.
After reaching Puttur Junction take a right turn at Puttur RTO check post to Venugopalapuram. Venugopalapuram is a small village route which leads to the foot of the hill of Sadasiva Kona. This road to Sadasiva Kona is a mud road, so two-wheeler is preferable or go for SUVs option, Sedan and hatchback cars will get damage. Or else park hour car in the village and take a walk to the foot the hill. There is no separate parking space available in this location; you can leave your vehicles near the temple at the foot of the hill by referring to people nearby.
There you go for the Trek to Sadasiva Kona now. The route to Sadasiva Kona hilltop is little challenging, but the way to the falls will be painted in the rocks as Arrow marks. The distance of total Trek is 7kms. There won't be water available on the way till reaching the waterfalls, so carry a water bottle with you while trekking Sadasiva Kona. Foods also will not be functional in the hill or on the way, better pack you foods from home or buy it in Puttur junction. Don't litter this place with your waste, carry your food wastes, covers, etc. back down the hill and dispose of them properly in the dustbin at the foot of the mountain. This Trek will take 2 hours to reach the waterfalls.
First 1 hour you should climb the hill, and you will reach Agayalingan, a small temple. After that should have to climb down to get the waterfalls, use shoes, good shoes while trekking Sadasiva Kona, hence the way will be full of rocks and pebbles. You will not find good grip in slippers while trekking. Shoes are safe for trekking. First, you will see Vidyavinayagar; it means you have reached the falls. The first waterfall is Ayya vari falls; railings are arranged to safely enjoy this falls, near this falls there is Sadasiveshwarar temple. Near the falls there will be way up to reach the next waterfalls, it will take approximately 10 to 15 minutes to get the next waterfalls. This waterfall is 5 to 10 feet deep; non-swimmers stay away from the falls. Near this falls there are two temples Sri Rajarajeshwari temple and Sri Kamatchi Amman temple, there is also a small shiva lingam is there near this falls. You can even night stay and cook here and enjoy this place. Lord Siva festival will be a grand celebration here.
