I am a baptist and I have felt this urge lately to move closer to God and his word. Things like modesty, peace, forgiveness, and love are on my mind and heart so heavy. I have this fire and intrigue to know more. This need to gain an understanding for myself! At one point I was scared to know more because I knew there would be some major changes I needed to make. I have always felt that I am a good woman, but am I a godly woman? I’m not afraid anymore. Watching this channel has given me clarity on a lot of things. Thank you. 🙏🏾 all of these new age pastors, preachers, Bishops etc had me afraid to submerge myself. But like you said God doesn’t need us, we need him! I don’t need a mega church to know the lord. I don’t need self help journals, 365 breakdowns of the Bible, or something to decipher the word of my God. He has never left me and his word has always been there waiting. God has been so good to me. Even when I don’t deserve it. I thank you God! I hear you!
Denying one's self doesn't mean to weaken one's self to the desires of the flesh. It is for us to humbly submit ourselves to CHRIST'S WAY, TRUTH, and LIFE as a pattern of our own. Living holy by Crucifying the flesh daily, by putting off the old you, and taking on the new you in Christ. That New you should be watered and nurtured by God's Word for growth. What good is a plant if there's no rain? False Men of God are like clouds full of great intentions, and promises; But, are clouds without rain. Thank God for you my Brother for posting this.
