For decades I have been hearing stories from the victims themselves.. I am not the only one to come forward about this subject and the things that go on within the group. You cannot silence these stories. When you do, it just causes more of these things to happen. If you are a victim of this group, I hope you have found help, or are willing to speak out.💙

Thank you for your videos. I parted ways with the local churches earlier this year. I was only part of it for these past couple of years since I'm in college which made it easier for me to leave. The Holy Spirit was giving me discernment about their culture and theology since maybe around February.

Happy to hear you followed your instinct and got out! Their campus work is very strong and so many young college kids get swooped up.😣

Thank you. One challenge is that many of us victims don’t speak out for decades due to shock, self-blame, “spiritualizing” suffering, genuine love for God and for people (even abusers)… lots of self “denial” (misapplied)…. When I finally spoke out, I was told by one elder that for any illegal treatment I should go to legal authorities… over 30 years after the incident - but “responsible” brothers knew about what happened to me when I was 16…. And I didn’t know that and couldn’t talk about it until later abuse - from my husband, a church leader, became completely unbearable, support from most “responsible” one was again non-existent - actually they exacerbated and multiplied the abuse directed at me and/or my children - and for the sake of others being adversely affected, I broke my silence…

I am so sorry you went through all of that pain. So terrible. Good for you for breaking your silence. I hope you can find healing.❤️‍🩹

"dont stumble the brothers"and "cover your brothers"- seems like a creedo pedos would be attracted in church groups like that! Sexual assualt, pedophilia is gross and illegal and needs to be handled by law enforcement. Its a "render unto ceasar" kind of thing.
i like what you closed with about the negative self talk! its definately part of their teaching! i took me along time to get past that!

I was actively part of this group in the US for over 35 years. I'll never forget the time my son told me he was grossed out by sexual activity going on in the back of a van en-route to an LC Church Camp. When I later reported this to my LC church elders, they said they would take care of it. I never heard back from any of those elders about the incident, and my child never received an apology. I agree with you Ritz, this group is a dangerous place for children of any age. P.S.

That’s horrible. I’m so sorry nothing was ever done.😔

@@Love_Cruelty Hey, I appreciate your concern. I suppose it might have been consensual. The van was transporting minor aged children to an LC sponsored summer camp. My son was a reluctant observer of what is apparently referred to as a "Circle Jerk": NOUN - A group of males masturbating ("jerking off") together (with or without interpersonal contact). I personally have never (thankfully) seen such activity. Oh, and by the way - several "jerkees" were the sons of LC Elders. Kinda fits the pattern set by Witness Lee's cover-up of his perverted sons doesn't it? P.S.

@@priestlyscribe 😤😤...idk, sometimes it's too puritanical, heightened sex negative attitude, overlooking stronger physiological impulses/compulsion w/ the youngsters; sometimes, young ppl pick up the double dealing from home vs at church, or shifting looseness vs holy & glorious😅...if ppl don't learn to channel adolescent angst, & to be informed & warned of consequences to do NO harm, they can develop into abuse or more ill-intended behavior, which is abhorrent & more so if being turned a blind eye to🤮

We can’t really put our trust in any organization-only in Jesus. I left LR because I saw something similar happen there. I confronted them about it, but nothing was done. What’s even more messed up is that the person who caused the trouble still goes to church without any shame or guilt.
It’s not just that person, though. Many so-called elders can’t even humble themselves enough to apologize for the small things they do to others.
I eventually left that group and joined another one, but they had their issues too. So, I’d tell anyone who’s thinking of leaving to just trust in Jesus alone. We’re living in the end times, and churches will only continue to decline, including the LR.

For a churchkid, what is the difference if you were molested by someone outside the recovery or someone within the recovery? Outside the recovery of course you report it to law enforcement. Within the recovery as one co-worker told me, "we keep matters in-house". In other words "cover the brother". Something I have given much thought to regarding churchkids, what about the parents? Where is their stance regarding their children? Noted not all parents within the recovery are the same. Some parents love their children more than the recovery and will not stand for their children to be "touched" physically or verbally. Other parents love the recovery more than their children. That's why one might hear excuses why it happened as if it's the child's fault. How are children to know where their parents standing is, if it is not reported? I would not be surprised if there are many more occurrences that go unreported.

@@TerryLane4427 You are exactly right about that. “Covering the brothers”, aka: keep your mouth shut. That type of culture is the reason for all this sexual perversion. The perpetrators know they can get away with it. 😒

🎯 sexual abuse is extreme & those cowards pick their victims, hence harder to detect, but bully, or its breeding ground microaggression & toxicity r more common, which tend to get dismissed as non-issue or even condoned. People may not have the guts to face up to perpetrators, but reactions to victims expose who you really are / the inner man as watchman nee put it, however you're supposed to separate 'the inner & the outer' man😅... How come I see a big loophole in the theory or abuse of the concept? 🤔🧐 what overcoming means in this kind of situation applying the high peak truth?
